Much of the clothing had zero personality as if they were shooting for the lowest common denominator...kind of like what you would have seen at The Limited, but even The Limited was a bit more stylish. I did find a cool dress here; hence, 2 stars instead of 1, but I would most likely not return here. I didn't like how the store was organized, and thought the sizing was off. And as an accessories person, I wasn't inspired by what I saw here. I did not, however, I went to the store the following weekend to try my luck on its availability. Surprisingly, they still had ONE MORE in MY size! Then, this weekend, I came back because I eyed the plaid shirt jacket from the FB video. OMG, I had to have that one too! It turned out that all the "new" items were at the vendor booth at Pearland Town Center Winter Market so the cashier offered to call the lady at the booth and asked to hold the jacket for me. When I got there, like an hour later, they still had it waiting for me. Great customer service!! Store itself is fine, employees are rude. I was wearing Lauren Conrad shoes from another Kohl's and went to look for a pair in another color. Didn't find was I was looking for, so I left. As I was leaving, an employee stopped me and accused me of stealing the shoes I was wearing. I explained that I had bought them at a different store and was looking for another color. She said "oh, yeah, sure." Clearly not believing me, and walked off. Cashier held her hands up like she didn't want to get in the middle. No apology. If you think I stole, call security. I wish I had thought to show her the bottoms of my shoes, which are dirty from wear. I will never shop in this Kohls again. I am a long time customer, and my mother, who bought me the shoes, has been a Kohl's card member for 20 years. Teach your employees how to act and how to handle possible shoplifters. At the least, I expected an apology.

The selection is vast, the store is huge but the quality seems low.. like the items will only last a few washings or something. My particular issue with this store happened today when I came in for a JanSport backpack. I saw it online on sale for $53.60 from $67. There was 1 left in stock. Since I was out and about, I stopped in and found it. Because they TOOK AWAY ALL THE CUSTOMER PRICE SCANNERS, I asked a worker to verify the sale price with her price scanner. It came up $67. I pulled up the online page to show her it was on sale and she says "Oh, that price is ONLY if you order online for pick up." So I go to the online pick up desk and ask the lady if they would price match it and allow me to buy it right then, NOPE. Store policy: they WON'T price match in-store their own online price. Then I asked if I purchased it for online pickup right then and it's already AT the pick-up desk, if I could then pick it up... (hey, less work for a worker since I already FOUND the product.) NOPE. It would have to go through some mystical process that could take awhile. Frustrated, I quickly looked at Target (same plaza) online and saw they had the same backpack available for $53 and I could get it right then and there so I told her I would go there instead. IS IT JUST ME OR IS LOWER ONLINE PRICING SEEM BACKWARDS?!? Like, buying stuff online results in workers having to go find items for you. Then, you're only buying those items VERSUS going into a store for the item and then seeing other items you want and buying MORE and spending MORE as a result. So sad I "gave up" $10 in Kohl's cash by buying my item at Target... wouldn't want to spend even more money in this place anyways. So this situation solidified my hatred of Kohl's even more. I honestly don't see myself stepping foot in one ever again. I'll spend our hard earned money anyplace else.

I finally made the time to drop off a few of my X's gifts that I wanted out of my house. A name brand purse was involved. Besides some name brand perfume and a dress from Shein, the experiment was small. I was expecting at least $50 for the haul, but haha - $18 was my takeaway. I at least have to applaud them processing the haul prior to the estimated time. I was in the parking lot managing my next stop when I received a text that my offer was ready. I was told the offer is computerized and not left up to the store members. I really didn't care - it was a gift that I didn't want in my house anymore, so the $18 was more than I was getting with it collecting dust. You may say just donate it, but clothing accessory donations have not yielded me any tax breaks over the years, so I gladly took my 18 bucks and will buy groceries for the church food bank. Additionally, the Shein dress (that by the way had never been worn and had the tags on it) as well as barely used perfume was not accepted items. They offered to donate the dress to Goodwill, and I gave the perfume to the young lady who was working the hauls. Again, I didn't want the items in my house anymore, so my goal was accomplished. Now, if it had been my own stuff I paid money for, I probably would have taken those items back and found someone to buy them or put them under consignment. However, since it was no cost to me, the experiment was just okay for me. I know they'll make way more than $18 off that name brand purse, but that's the trade-off for same day cash back for selling items. Overall, I'm sure this is a great resource for people who need cash right away, but I'm never in that kind of bind to just give my stuff away, which you are almost doing at Plato's. As far as the selection of clothes to buy, I didn't check. It was way too crowded for my taste with bunches of racks. Since I'm not a shopper most days, I wasn't moved to look either. Maybe one day soon, I'll choose to do so and give an overall review of this place, but for now, you have insight on being a seller at Plato's in case you're interested.

Then I asked for assistance to help lift it until the counter and was told "if you can pick it up yourself, then we can't go through it". It just makes me feel sorry for those who are actually handicapped or needed extra assistance due to the lack of physical capability. Plus the counter is entirely too high for most. I worked at Plato's closet before and never remember ever telling a customer that or at least not lend a helping hand. Just want the consideration for everyone's well being on BOTH sides.
