I've been living in the area since forever, why haven't I tried their pizza. Wow! Amazing pie, great flavors and their price is really reasonable for their size and toppings. Crust is thin but not super thin where it's thin crust. Even with leftovers it still taste good and fresh after a couple minutes in the air fryer. They do take a bit longer to make their pies, so call in and pick up. read more

Recently moved to Ventura county and have been on an exhaustive pizza search--and finally hit paydirt. Uptown pizza is fantastically good. Don't let the very clean but spartan appearance fool you. It was difficult to choose from the extensive menu, but my wife and I went with the lunch special of two individual pizzas and two salads for a very reasonable price. And not just any old pizza, any GOURMET pizza from the menu, and any of the variety of salads available. The pizza offerings are unique combination, creating surprising (surprisingly GREAT), flavor profiles. I had the Garden Sausage, consisting of Uptown Classic Sauce, Mozzarella, Onions, Mushrooms, Marinated Artichokes, Tomatoes & House Made Sausage. The real standout was the excellent sausage, flavorful with the the right amount of kick. But it was the quality of every ingredient, and how they blended that made it so delicious. Even the crust is special, tasting more like a bakery bread than simple dough, including the crust studded with what I guess is sesame seeds. It's definitely an elevated pizza. Although I am a traditional New York pizza kind of guy, the quality and taste had both my wife and I moaning with pleasure after every bite--it was that good. My wife had the Spinach and Feta pizza: Pesto Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Fresh Spinach, Onions, Black Olives, Marinated Artichokes, Roma Tomatoes, Topped with Feta Cheese & Oregano. Again, not traditional, but equally scrumptious. The salads (Garden for me, and Greek for my wife) were individually hand prepared with excellent dressing. Because everything is hand prepared, it does take a long time to receive the food, but so well worth the wait. Call ahead if you are pressed for time. This place is such a gem in Oxnard! I am so happy me and my wife found this place! This has become my favorite place to order pizza from. I love a good pizza. I'm new to the area so I'm relying on Yelp to direct me in the right direction. Couldn't have been happier. We got the Spinach and Feta on original crust. They are generous with the fresh toppings and crust cooked to perfection with the perfect chew. The gal was sweet and I couldn't have received better service. The place looked pretty clean and I liked how there was seating inside and outside. We ordered a medium cheese pizza with a cesar salad and both were delicious. The ranch was also good and I got to say I know it sounds like the most simplest thing to make pizza and ranch being good at the same restaurant but I've seen so many that don't know how to pair a good pizza with ranch or vice versa. We originally were trying to find a decent place to eat since the restaurant that we went to around the corner had terrible food we ended up taking the food back to our room and we tried eating it but it honestly just wasn't good so we ended up just throwing in the trash and went back out to go look for good food. We ended up here and luckily it was nearby and the pricing was actually pretty good. I got to say that it's really hard to find a pizza place not knowing if it's good or not. The owner ended up closing early since I think it was slow, we were the only active car in the parking lot it was pretty empty out there. I think because it's not on the main road no one really travels through there. We would definitely come back, when we travel again this way. read more

I called to order two large pizzas. I was answered to the rudest man you can imagine. I thought he might have been busy, but I arrived to an empty restaurant and received the same rude attitude. Called to order a pizza to my hotel, they said they deliver to hotels, but when they learned my hotel was in Camarillo they told me that they do not deliver to Camarillo. This would ordinarily be fine, but they are not even a 10 minute drive from the place. They offered to do pickup but after a really long day I just wanted to sit in the hotel and not leave. The very reason we stopped eating out. The pizza man dan's service could not have been worse…read moretonight at the annex. It was our first time at this location and we did not know about the bar/sit down area and the order up window. We wanted some food to go with our young kids to eat outside. The woman at the restaurant/bar area (bar was empty and she was standing there) told us that I guess she could take our order but to just go to order over there. No smile, unbelievably rude and just walked away. We went to the window and the young girl was on her phone. We got our food and she didn't remember our order when we went to pick it up and had to tell her all over again. We ordered hot wings that didn't come with a side of ranch. When my husband went up and asked for it, he was charged. Food was hot and good, but expensive for the lack of service, a smile and such bad attitudes.

On one of my visits a group of girls that had been drinking too much wanted to beat up the bartender . There was no one else working with her . This is a safety hazard there should be at least two people working together at times at the bar. I would suggest the owner care a bit more about his staff . It took awhile for security to show up and they were a bit weak. Just a note ... later at night ... like anywhere , I guess, people are stupid wannabe immature stuck in high school trouble makers.

Seems like it could be a great find or an unforgettable place . I was in the mood for a calzone and you can't get that at Domino's, which is the nearby location option so I thought let me check this place out greeted by a grumpy server. I ordered a sausage calzone. Made fresh and had it in about 12 minutes in consideration that it's a $15 purchase. I asked if I could have some ranch with it and he said that'll be two dollars more. I thought that must be a sizable serving of ranch. 3 ounce cup And then I felt damn slightly rough, but understandable I'll pass . So I have the calzone and my report is it's bland. It's basic and it's forgettable. It's on the disappointing side of experience the overall experience at the location, the service and the food where somewhere around a 2.2 and that's my take on it. It's not bad, but it's not something to make you come back for it. Why is it popular? How does it survive? You might ask It's right next to the Navy base and there's always a new Navy person that doesn't know about this place needs pizza or pasta and is gonna go for it so this place will survive.
