After moving to the Valley we hadn't been back to Freddy's. Thankfully Lauren brought home a slice and I re-heated it the next day for lunch. The flavor and aroma brought back great memories of Freddy's and satisfied my hunger at the time. We are looking forward to both returning for pizza and pasta and to catch up with Eddie! read more

5 Stars Had an awesome experience at Freddy's Pizza in Oxnard. Stopped in for a slice and a soda and ended up having a great conversation with the owner -- super genuine guy who clearly cares about his food and his customers. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a local spot. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend! read more

My go to pizza place in Ventura County. I have tried quite a few places and while some have their own twist that make it good, this place is my go to spot for a pizza night. I typically order there special, large 1 topping pizza with a wings and a 2 liter. It's pricey at almost 60 bucks. The wings are good sizes and great flavor. I order the buffalo. Pizza is the most New YoBuffalo. I've had around. Thin, no flop, great flavor. Fast, effective, and they do delivery but ive actually never do that since it's close to me I end up picking it up. Family owned pizza shop. Branch of Ameci I think when first opened. A lot of local history here from the original owners. My only only negative, aside from price, is in my experience I get two different types of pizzas depending on who is cooking. I always trust when the owner is cooking but there is a younger crew who I experience noticeable difference in taste when they cook. I call and make sure to ask who is cooking. At close to 60 a pop for the order I want what I consider good. Great local place. Definitely try it out. They have a great inexpensive lunch combo and sell pizza by the slice!!! read more

We walked by the open door of this establishment and smelt what I could only describe as fresh ingredients being compiled into a masterful pie. The decor was simple and welcoming. The restaurant was very unique and marked up by friends, family members, and loyal customers leaving messages of thanks to the owner Freddy that had passed away. Hearing the story of the establishments history made this place a bit more special. I ordered a pizza that was recommended by a customer walking out as we walked by. The customer praised the establishment as if he owned shares in stock or as if he would never eat anywhere else but Freddy's Pizza. The gentleman recommended their pastrami pizza. Being a pastrami lover and a pizza lover i was eager to experience how this place was going to join the two completely different flavors of foods. Let me say this as simple as possible: Freddy's Pizza did not disappoint. Every ingredient was fresh and had been compiled in perfection. If you are in the Oxnard/port Hueneme area I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

I finally came back after not visiting Oxnard since November. I used to live in Oxnard and came often with my dad and sometimes alone and we got to know Eddie. I hadn't been there in 8 months and when I walked in Eddie still remembered me! He immediately recognized me and said "Lauren!" when I walked in. He said he wondered where I had been and asked how my dad was. Then when I left he hugged me. It made my first visit back so special. I ordered my usual: cheese calzone and it was amazing. That marinara sauce is so good. I also ordered a bottle of water and a slice to go for my dad (all the way back in LA because he loves this pizza so much) and he said those were on the house. Pizza was good. Really expensive for a medium meat lovers. You only get a few sprinkles of each of the toppings, so I'm not sure how it justified to cost that much. 6 small slices for pretty much $31 after taxes. Is it worth giving it a shot, yes, but don't expect to get your monies worth. My opinion, it's better off getting affordable pizza somewhere else (Domino's) for a fraction of the price with more quantities. The biggest draw back leading to a 3 star was just the quantity and how expensive it was. read more

We just moved to the area and had Freddy's Pizza for the first time and it was a hit. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, a dinner salad and cannolis. Everything was great. The pasta hit the pasta craving spot, the chicken was well seasoned and not overcooked. The dinner salad with the house vinaigrette was great, very fresh. The cannolis were so delicious. Tasted just as great as the ones we would get back in Italy when we studied abroad. We look forward to making this part of our date night rotation! Oh and we picked up to eat at home, the pasta was still hot and the cannolis and salad fresh! Love it! read more

A True Gem for Authentic Italian food Fredi's Pizza is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in Oxnard! I've been coming here for years, and everything I've tried is amazing. My go to is the baked rigatoni, and i add a side of sausage Whether you're in the mood for a classic pizza, a hearty pasta dish, you can't go wrong. SERVICE: This was delivered. Under the time they said. FOOD: For the photo, I call these real shots LOL. If half the pizza is missing, we're doing something good right? First time ordering from Freddy's. Really good. Sauce is a little sweet, but I like that. Some places are too sweet. Good flavor. Pep was tasty. Good ratio. It's been a little more than a few months since I originally posted this photo as a Facebook story. What can I say about the food? These Garlic Cheese Rolls ARE addicting!! Everything on the menu is of the highest quality and as a result, it scrumptious flavor resonates throughout their cuisine! Their fast, friendly service can't be beat. Ambiance? Their menu is their amazing ambiance. There are three of us who are weekend repeat customers who despite having our own personal favorites, still love trying something new. We'll NEVER become bored as the flavors always keep us hungry for more. I love pizza places that sell by the slice because I end up throwing away so much pizza. This place caught my eye since I was in the neighborhood filling up my water. The pizza slices are big and hefty, one slice is enough for a meal! It's only $3.00! You can add any topping for 50 cents. The crust is dough-y, and a bit chewy. I guess that's NY style? You can tell they make the pizza in house, and it tastes like an old family recipe. The guys who own this place are very serious and work hard. The service was fast and efficient. Inside, it's a quintessential pizza joint with hundreds of friendly graffiti notes on wall. (Literally, the writings on the wall). The reason I took off a star is because I took a bite of the crust and it tasted like dial soap. I couldn't get that taste out of my mouth. Someone must have washed their hands and left soap on them, and handled the pizza. I had to spit it out and wash my mouth out! So I didn't end up eating the whole slice afterall. I don't think it was intentional on their part so I'll give them another chance in the future. read more

My husband first introduced me to this place. He had heard many good things about Freddy's. Freddy's is really close to my house, so close in fact that you could walk there to pick-up your food. We started ordering from Freddy's I'd say mid-2019, just before the start of the pandemic & we continued to order from there because there was something for everyone in the family. Well, all of a sudden there was a turn for the worst. The main cook & people in charge were not there & whomever was left in charge either didn't care or didn't think they'd get caught up. I ordered the usual sausage & onion pizza for my hubby, garlic bread for my nephew, a veggie sub for myself & Alfredo pasta for my Dad & I to share. Nothing was made right, but the biggest give away was when we had the Alfredo... it was 1/2 the quantity of pasta & sauce & it was TERRIBLE. I called back & the woman I spoke with really didn't care. Her attitude was so cavalier & she really could give a SHIIT. It was only after I told her that I'd never come back & write a review if this horrible experience that she offered a 10% discount. To be honest, that pissed me off more. There was no way I'd be coming back to buy any food from them & I've stuck to my guns. I have not been back in the last year. SAVE YOUR TIME & YOUR MONEY. AND IF YOU ARE IN THE PARKING LOT READING THIS, TURN AROUND & LEAVE. The 2 stars is for the other experiences I had that were much better, because if it wasn't for those previous experiences, this would be zero stars. read more

Family owned and extremely delicious, the energy in here is so wholesome - what more could you ask for? I got a half cheese and half veggie pizza, the cheese was beautifully cheesy with a nice long pull. THAT is how you know it's quality cheese! Even the crust was toasted to perfection but I have to say the best part is, this is the first time in my life I haven't had acid reflux after eating pizza. Magical!! Freddy made his sauce fresh and his family continues to do so today and it shows! Don't hold back on the Garlic Cheese rolls, those were so good I couldn't even get a picture. It also comes with a sauce on the side! Be sure to come by and support a long time local and for delicious pizzas, pastas and calzones for great prices too. Definitely best pizza around!! read more

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, regular crust and a Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was really good. I'm super picky so that really means something. The ONLY advice I would give to the restaurant is to add some kind of Au Jus sauce or even the steak juices from the steak on the side to dip the sandwich in. That would've really took it up a notch, like next level awesomeness! Anyway, that's my review. I hope it helps someone out when deciding to spend their hard earned money on take out food! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered online, and got confirmation text of the order with the delivery time. When I called about my order that didn't get delivered her response to me was 'look lady I dropped off your order at your house'. She was super rude and argued with me for 5 minutes that she dropped it off at the address. I asked her to describe the house, and she couldn't. Then asked her where the front door of my house was and she said it was up a flight of stairs on the second floor and that is where she dropped it off. Since my door is not on the second floor I knew she was lying. Long story short she called several other times and left voice mails that my address was 20 minutes away, then it was 7 miles away and was out of their delivery range. I finally got ahold of a manager who originally told me the employee dropped off the food. He did finally realize that she was lying about the delivery and remade my order and delivered it. So two hours after ordering, 3 very rude voicemails, and 2 worse conversations on the phone i got the pizza and salad that cost $55. read more

The menu had a nice selection of primarily savory options that made it hard to narrow down as everything sounded so good. Ultimately, I ended up going with the "Caffe Breakfast" ($19) which came with 2 eggs, my choice of bacon and season potatoes, along with a slice of ciabatta. Everything was delicious, but my favorite item on the plate actually ended up being their house made berry jam. It was so good paired with their perfectly crusty ciabatta bread! While I didn't get to try their toasts, our table also ordered their "Salmon Avocado Toast" ($19) and their "Avocado Pomodoro Toast" ($18). Each dish was so aesthetically pleasing.
