I feel like yelpers really need to know how delish this place is but then it wouldn't be such a hidden gem lol I was introduced to this local spot by my dental coworkers and was really impressed by a myriad of things: + Friendliness + Cleanliness + Ingredient freshness + Cozy indoor atmosphere + Outdoor patio seating + Awesome lunch specials Out of all the pros, it's really the lunch specials that bring me in. You can't beat a slice of pepperoni or cheese pizza with a side of Greek salad for about ~$7. This is one of my favorite Pizza places in the VC. And let me start my setting some people on here straight! To the "too expensive" comments, please... keep going to your greasy pizza joints like toppers or Pizza Man Dan's. The amount of toppings this place puts on their pizza is well worth the price, but seriously forget that! The taste of the crust is amazing, the flavor in both their red and garlic sauce is to die for.. Yes its more pricey than some other lame pizza places that I have already mentioned but c'mon, do you want to eat good pizza or just cardboard with ketchup and processed meats? Ok.. rant done, now onto the review.. This place is locally-owned and run by a very nice family that always goes out of their way to make sure that our experience is well worth what we paid for. They have enough toppings and combinations to satisfy any type of customer. I have tried about 4-5 different combinations with their red and white sauce and by far the white garlic sauce is one of my favorite. I'm not sure what they do to their dough but not only is it the perfect consistency of crunchy and soft, but it tastes delicious as well. If I had one gripe it would be their hours, because they are family-run they sometimes close early when they see business slowing down.. While I can understand that I would like some more consistency in that. And just so you know here are my other favorite pizza places: Amecci's Pizza (Cheap, Simple Pizza) Settebello's in the Collection (Amazing Neapolitano Style Pizza) RedBrick Pizza (All-around good pizza) So don't let the bad reviews posted on here discourage you, when you can afford it ;) give Uptown Pizza a try, you will not be disappointed by the taste! Tried this place for the first time today and so glad I did! I was craving a classic cheese pizza and this really hit the spot. The crust was pleasantly doughy with a nice chew but not too thick, and sauce just right. I also got a caesar salad, the lettuce was super fresh and the dressing was especially tasty. It's in a shopping complex so easy and plentiful parking. Definitely worth a try, better than a lot of other places in the area. read more

What a pizza gem! This place is located in a shopping center and within walking distance of the Hilton that we were staying at. Two of us split a medium (12 inch) pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The toppings tasted fresh, the crust was the perfect amount of soft but stable (won't lose all your toppings with each bite). We called ahead and picked up our pizza 20 minutes later. The service was disrespectful, the pizza tasted so plain and it was expensive for the quality, it was unhygenic it gave me a flare up, a kitchen apliance there blows so much air and germs around it gets to the pizza, everything was so unpleasant, the place is not cared for and the pizza place guy was so dismissive and rude the whole time. This is the best pizza in Ventura county. The dough/crusts seem like they are home made and authentic not a frozen crust. The toppings are always so fresh and perfectly proportioned. I love the "Roasted Garlic Chicken" it's the absolute best, but we often order the garden sausage or artichoke special. I love how this small business is up and running in an old outlet center that is now used for offices and business. It's a great place to grab a bit to eat. The rolls are addicting and I highly recommend these. The lunch specials are usually before 3pm and these are perfect portions to try there meals. Let me just say... if I'd had pizza like this sooner, I'd have been a pizza person a long time ago! I had the Garlic Chicken Pizza and everything about it was absolutely amazing. Ample toppings, great sauce, crust was doughy and to die for! My boyfriend got the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken pizza and it was also great. As was my side Cesar salad. Been ordering from Uptown through out covid as it's my son's favorite. They have delicious specialty pizzas and even offer gluten free crust. For lunch, they sell pizza by the slice too. I would expect this level of quality if I were going to one of the major chains. For these prices it should have been better. I tasted vey little pesto, the onions were flavorless, the chicken was something from a Birdseye frozen dinner, the tomatoes were good, but very few of them, and the mushroom stems were stringy and chewy. My wife and I visit the Oxnard/Ventura/Channel Islands area once a year. When we are craving some pie, we usually just go to Toppers. This time, I looked on Yelp before we went to munch on some Italian pie. -nom nom nom-. A Yelp reviewer had this place in his top 10, so we decided to give it a try. Suffice to say, it was delicious! Very liberal toppings, a freshness to the cheese that I have not had in a very long time, and scrumptious dough made for one very delectable pie! Small seating area and no fountain sodas (a personal favorite), but other than that, we will be sending our Benjamin's here instead of Toppers when we trek our to the Oxnard area. read more
