Fab Of all the eye doctors and eyeglasses businesses I have been to over the years, this is easily my favorite. Why? Dr. Henderson is a great guy, very communicative, knowledgeable and takes as much time as needed to thoroughly address my concerns and explain what's what. The space is great, cool without pretension; rotating local artists hang their work here, making it a gallery like feel. After seeing several doctors in Dallas, Dr.Roshie Moshtaghfard is by far the BEST Optometrist I've ever seen. She took extra time with the exam and explaining my eye health using advanced video imaging. She also made sure that she eased me into my new prescription lenses as I have a very physical job and can't afford to be off balance. She also made sure that the frames I chose fit my face. I had a bad experience here with a new pair of glasses...the glass was not centered correctly for my eyes, and the frame was ordered too large; however, each time I returned with a concern, I was told that I "just needed to get used to the new glasses." You may be trendy and cool in Uptown, but making me think that the true issues I had were all in my head is definitely rude. read more

I called Uptown Vision back in April because i needed to order new contacts, however, the person answering the phone seemed like she had no clue what she was doing and would put me on hold every 2 minutes to go check with her manager about a variety of issues. After awhile I just gave up and went to 1-800 contacts and had them fill the prescription for me instead. Several months later I get a bill in the mail from Uptown Vision saying my bill is 120+ days past due and that i owed them around $75. When i looked at the statement it showed that I had been billed for contacts back in April, even though i never gave consent for an order, and that they had also tried billing my insurance. I immediately called them to ask what was going on and they said that this seemed to have been an error, that the order was never processed, and that a manager would reach out to rectify the situation. A week goes by and no one calls me so i AGAIN called them to talk to a manager and resolve this. Several days go by and then finally the manager emails me and simply states that this was an oversight and that my account balance had been brought to zero. I was appalled that after fraudulently billing me and sending me past due notices he didn't even have the decency to return my phone call and apologize. I was a happy customer prior to this, but now i can easily say i will never go back. This was absolutely pathetic customer service and borderline fraud on their part, don't go here. read more

I went to Uptown Vision because they were recommended by friends and approved by my insurance. The staff was accommodating and polite - a definite good start to any appointment. Dr Henderson took his time doing my exam and explaining what he saw (no pun intended). He answered my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly, and was sure I took a business card should any questions arise. I'm not a contact wearer, due to a typical itchy-watery-red-sticky experience, but Dr Henderson said he had just the thing for me. Two wears later, I'm hooked! They are the thinnest, lightest, can't-even-tell-I'm-wearing-them contacts I've ever stuck in my eyes. I took a stroll around the glasses display and tried on almost every pair. The guy who was helping me was patient and encouraging of trying on whatever I thought I liked. He gave good opinions and I felt like he really did understand the look I was going for. I finally found a pair and was thrilled to see that they take the glasses off display - no one else gets to purchase them until the next time the manufacturer sends in a sample! That may be a tad pretentious, but for the amount of time and energy I spent looking for the perfect pair, I'm glad I won't see them on someone else's face. Plan for some serious time while looking for frames - it doesn't look like they have that many options, but I can attest (as can my very patient friend) it took me 2+ hours to say yes. read more

The best Doctor I've ever had not just Optomalogist but best doctor in general. Very thorough, explains things in a way a patient can understand and you never feel rushed. You can tell he cares and wants the patient to understand everything and is willing to explain until it's understood. The store is beautiful and the selection of frames is phenomenal. The staff is amazing and they go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the clients are satisfied and well taken care of. The longevity of the employees is amazing I'd say between the staff if you add the number of years together it's well over 60 maybe even more. Speaks volumes! This was my first time here and I love them. The place is very well set up, artsy and open, very unique. Not your usual dreary eye doctor office. The staff and doctor are all pleasant and very helpful. I really enjoyed the whole experience, oh! and the appointment was quick. I took my appointment on my lunch break and still had time for lunch! :) However... my insurance that my company is switching to... does NOT have them in my new network starting next month... Dr. Roshie was exactly that. After getting many recommendations from friends, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go to her. Used to be a great business when they were located on cedar springs in actual uptown. My most recent visit was to simply pickup contacts. As soon as I signed my name after they charged my card at checkout, they told me they didn't even have the contacts in stock. I would have to wait. Frustrating for sure. Not too much to complain about the actual eye exam earlier this month. However, the doctor seemed to be reading from a script in a monotone voice which was weird - just not great at personal/social interaction, but she got the job done. She did tell me I would never see 20/20 again, so I will definitely be getting a second opinion elsewhere. Eye exams aren't cheap, and this place is no exception. read more

Uptown Vision has been my Optometrist since moving to Dallas 3 and a half years ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. You're offered premier service (never rushed). The staff takes their time with you during your appointment. A variety of exams are offered, as are top selections in frames and eyewear. It's always a nice experience going in for my annual exams and to pick up contacts. There are a few parking spots in front of the store on McKinney Avenue, but since those can be hard to reverse out of (onto a main street with heavy traffic), there is additional private parking in the back. read more

The team at uptown vision is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Roshie is amazing. She is super friendly and explains the reasoning behind what she does and everything makes sense. I know so much more about how eyes work and how you can see signs of sickness in your body by just looking at your Retina. They have been very patient with finding the perfect contact lenses that work for my dry eyes . Dr. Roshie actually has looked at every new contact lense brand I've tried in my eyes to make sure they sit correctly and tested my vision with each one to make sure I have the right one. They also match 1800 contact for lenses and have a good selection when it comes to frames, but don't pressure you at all in buying anything from them (there are no salesmen, it feels like they are just there to help you make a decision). I have tried multiple eye doctors since I moved to Dallas, but it's my second year at uptown vision and couldn't have been happier. They have always worked with me in finding a time that fits in my busy schedule . I recommend Dr. Roshie and the rest of the team for making it so easy and painless to get your vision needs addressed. By the end of the visit you'll know you are in good hands. read more

Excellent and caring staff. Thorough exams and appointments. FABULOUS eyewear selection! I mean seriously, the frames they have here are like little pieces of art for your face. I was blown away by the huge selection and unique choices. The office is beautiful. Super modern with large bright paintings everywhere. Prices were pretty normal for glasses and prescription sunglasses. If you are used to bargain prices, this might be a shock to your system. Quality though!! The quality here way surpasses any chain store. These glasses will last you much longer than what you would find in the mall. I spent $300 on glasses and $650 on prescription sunglasses (the frames weren't that much. it's all in the lenses - tint, polarized, mirrored, anti-glare, and anti-fog) I first found Uptown Vision for a last minute appointment on a Saturday. They were able to squeeze me in within two hours of my phone call. I was having issues with my eyes watering and itching like crazy. They did such a thorough examination and cleared up all my symptoms. Naturally, I have made them my primary optometrist and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else! read more

We looked around and the store is very nice, they take our insurance but the customer service completely sucked. I've been going to Dr. Henderson for more than 5 years and I have nothing but great things to say about him and the staff, service, knowledge, and professionalism. He has helped me greatly in finding the right pair of contacts with all my allergy issues. Dr. Henderson and his staff are very flexible in their schedules... allowing you to make last minute appointments for any issues at all with trial contacts, needing emergency contacts, etc. There is a great selection of frames to choose from in their design-boutique office. They have taken VSP and Eyemed from me with no issues. Also, if you have an HSA you can buy a pair of designer sunglasses from them as well and your HSA will cover it. ;) read more

I had come here, because I had a bad experience at Optique (you can see my review on Optique's page). When I walked in, I was greeted with a refreshingly modern and fresh establishment. Jessica (I hope that's her name, because I always confuse Jennifer/Jessica), was incredibly nice and helpful. She helped me confirm what benefits I had, helped me pick out just the perfect frames, and was really patient. I have yet to see the optometrist here, but I have no doubt I'll be going back. Dr. Roshie Moshtaghfard had no bed-side manner. Clearly did not want to be bothered with holding a conversation and seemed annoyed to answer any of my questions. Took almost a month to get my contacts because they a) called the wrong number one time to tell me they had arrived, but never called again AND never bothered to check that they had dialed misdialed the number that was on my patient forms and b) they then claimed to have lost the order when I called in myself after weeks of waiting To top it all off, they mispelled my name on every form. Not one problem or complaint. I really did not realize how good they were until I tried another eye glass place in the neighborhood that turned out to be the biggest disaster.
