I have never in my life experienced such blatantly disrespectful and unacceptable customer service as I did during my recent visit to LensCrafters. I came in for a scheduled eye appointment and was treated with complete disregard, disrespect, and aggression--clearly because I'm Black. The agent I dealt with was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. No greeting, no professionalism, just an attitude like I didn't belong there. They gave me a hard time about my appointment, questioned my insurance and ID unnecessarily, and talked down to me like I was some kind of problem. Meanwhile, I saw them treating other customers--who were not Black--much more politely and helpfully. This wasn't just a bad day or poor training. It was targeted and discriminatory behavior that made me feel humiliated and angry. I refuse to give my money to a company that allows this kind of racist treatment. If LensCrafters cares at all about its customers and basic human decency, this needs to be addressed immediately. I'll be filing a formal complaint and taking my business elsewhere--where I'm treated with the same respect as anyone else, regardless of skin color. Shame on this location and shame on LensCrafters for letting this happen. read more

The store has been so helpful with me and my Meta Wayfair Ray-Ban's!!! I love my glasses but I've had a couple of technical issues and they have been very fast and efficient at getting them fixed and getting me a new pair as quickly as possible. The last and hopefully final time this happened they told me two weeks to get a replacement pair and they showed up in three days and I walked out of the store wearing them as soon as they came in. This LensCrafters is the best one I've ever been to. Jesse was phenomenal in helping me pick the right frames and was very patient as I made my choice. I got a pair of Versace frames and they discounted them for me as well as the lenses. Went in to pay cash because I didn't think I had insurance. Turns out that I did. Instead of charging me full price they applied my insurance so that I could get the best deal. I said all that to say that today is June 2, 2024 And I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews before I actually went. I've gone here the past three years after having my annual eye exam next door. The people that work here are always so friendly and helpful. Like having a girlfriend there with you to help pick the best pair for you- honest but kind. This last visit Zoe helped me and she was amazing at her job. Oak Lawn on Turtle Creek needs to be turned into Better Business Bureau, literally. They sell you frames that they may not have screws for or can repair. Have spent hours in the store trying to get frames tighten but they cannot because the company doesn't have the screws that fit the frame. I made an appointment as my contact lenses prescription had expired. I called twice to make sure they took my insurance the person on the phone confirmed it and let me know the eye exam was covered with my insurance and that I had a $120-130 credit for contact lenses. This was not true at the time of payment I had to pay $90 which would have been fine if only I was informed, especially when I called twice. Dr. Tran who happened to be at the front desk when I arrived was extremely rude to me for no reason at all. It was surprising to see that she speaks to people in that way. Avoid this LensCrafters at all costs. They broke my frames, and everyone in the store and especially in their lab seems to just want to do the easiest/cheapest thing possible. They don't really care about doing things right or about helping, they just want you out of their hair. Beware of this place. I gave my credit card over the phone for a replacement pair of glasses and was charged the $800 plus another charge for $1400 which I didn't authorize or get product for. When I contacted the store they said if I alerted my credit card company it would be removed. After the credit card company contacted them they said I had to pay as I gave them my credit card info and their story changed saying that I did get product. Elizabeth the assistant manager is who I talked to at this LensCrafters. Even the evidence they provide to try and show I did the purchase has someone else's name on the order. It was a Dorthy Paramo. They took my card number and used it for someone else order and trying to make me pay for it. Beware of fraud at this store. read more

Since our optometrist moved to a new location right next to this Lens Crafters, we decided to get our new lenses here and picked out a new frame. The staff here are great, VERY friendly and VERY knowledgeable at what they do. We felt very welcomed here and they answered all of our questions. I can't say enough about the staff here. I wish I had gotten their names of the staff that helped us, because again, they were great! Btw, we got our new lenses within a week, so that was pretty quick since we both went with Varilux lenses. read more

Went online to find the frames I wanted then looked up where to buy them. I took my RX here was able to get them and have most of the bill covered buy my insurance. They take most insurance plans and we're extremely helpful in processing my insurance since I had just changed insurance companies. The guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and friendly since I didn't see the frames I wanted in store he was able to get them for me in the inventory they had. He help me with the exact lenses I wanted and made sure when my glasses came in I was notified immediately and that the fit was perfect. If you are looking for a special hard to find designer frame I highly recommend checking them out. Their employees are knowledgeable and helpful with a friendly attitude. Couldn't ask for more and the price was extremely affordable with insurance of most plans. Really happy with my new glasses!!! and the service I received. DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION..RUN!!!! They PROMISED me a lead time of 1 week. They assured me that my glasses would be ready then after clarifying the lead time. Additionally, called them the day off and they assured me the glasses would be ready between 11am and 2pm. At 2pm..a week after their assurances, the glasses were still not there. I've had to extend an international business trip and pay an additional $300 because they OVER-PROMISED and UNDER-DELIVERED!! Oh yer...the lady behind the desk cops an attitude because I was upset at the lies they told just to make a sale. She then tried to send me to the Northpark location and lied to me saying they would get it done same day. I had to push her TO CALL Northpark to make sure they would have them done the same day and to get a specific time. Turns out, Northpark didnt even have the same glasses I ordered. Do business with these unethical people at your own risk. This is the last time I or any of any friends or relatives will purchase from a lens crafters. Disappointed! read more

Buyer beware!! This location is known for very unethical sales people. I had been warned about this location but decided to give them a chance. They won't tell you this, but you can get same day glasses if you choose another location. They'll get you to buy from them and then tell you to wait a week for your glasses. That timeline is not honored and you end up waiting longer for your glasses. I've had friends who've taken their glassws in for repair and they broke them. No empathy at all! They simply do not care for customers at this location! read more

Miserable experience. Waited two weeks. Glasses were wrong. No consideration given for their error, no "rush", no discount, not even an acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Got a survey, expressed my dissatisfaction, got a robotic promise of a human follow up. It never came. Total of 5 weeks to get the glasses, and nobody expressed any concern that they had caused me any inconvenience with the delay. Such studied indifference is rare in this country. They helped me choose frames I love, they offered me every option for lenses, they could not have been sweeter, and my experience here was seamless. Just took my new glasses in because a screw has already fallen out. Went in and they took my glasses to repair. I was there for what felt a little too long for just putting a screw in. She came back out and just gave them to me - no trying them on or anything. I didn't think anything about it at the time. I took them and assumed they had been repaired correctly. Fifteen minutes later, I checked them and the replaced screw is hanging out - not installed correctly and not the right size. So here I am now at another LensCrafters hoping a different store can help me properly. read more

7 to 10 days but expect them earlier she said. It is now 14 day, with no follow up, and waiting with a soft guess at a new date that is now looking like 18+! We apologize your new glasses are still at the factory, they are incomplete due to failing one of 100 quality tests. I had a bad experience here. I went in earlier this week to get my glasses prescribed. I have never tried another place other than the one I've been going to for many years. LensCrafters on oak lawn was the first one I decided to try. I went in expected to be at least greeted but then I noticed both of the employees working at the time were with ONE customer both not each but both were with the same person. I started to look around meanwhile till they noticed me or were finished. After 10 minutes of walking around I got a call my call lasted 5 minutes. While and after my call no one had even looked at me. I was completely invisible. I still waited another 5 minutes...still nothing. Eventually I walked out. I can't believe I was invisible to two people after walking around and making noise. read more

I ordered contacts from the doctor side of this place and I couldn't wear the contacts because they burned. I tried to bring them back and they said they couldn't do anything because the box was opened. Of course, that's the only way I would have known they burned. I had a great experience here. I made my appointment the day before, and the staff made sure they got my insurance information so they could verify it and let me know the costs before I came in. When I arrived, they made sure I didn't have to wait since they knew I had to get back to work. The office is very clean and modern, and Dr. Tran was knowledgeable and willing and able to answer questions. She also recommended that I try a different brand of contacts, and is having me wear them for a week before buying anything to ensure that I like them. I had heard mixed reviews about Lenscrafters-associated eye doctors and only tried this one because my insurance requires it, but was pleasantly surprised. read more
