It is known for Yin Yoga, the type where you use breathing and hold the poses for 3-5 minutes. Please see my yin yoga photo poses. The majority of studios offer vinyasa or hatha or ashtanga which are faster flows. Here you can find power yoga and hatha as well. I'm big fan of heated Hatha...as it flows, but not too fast or demanding. The heat is like in low 90 degree F. I love all the teachers here. Also note that many of the yin classes run for 1 hr 45 min. There are not as many classes offered as a corporate studio, but I'm so happy this is here. Wondering the cost? It's reasonable. There is a free week for new people. There are many options: Single class $23, 5 classes in 1 month $200 $20 each), 10 class bundle (punch card) $170-$200 ($17 each), monthly $150-$170. The lower of the range is for auto-renew. So when you come to the 10th class on a punch card, your credit card will auto-renew. Pretty convenient. I am on the 10 class bundle cuz I have a pretty busy schedule. Sound baths are offered every 1st and 3rd Fridays at 7:30p, check website for $20-$25.

The trainers work on making sure your form is correct as well as teaching you techniques for better breathing etc. It is a lot smaller than a typical gym place, and a bit out of place since it is surrounded by businesses and its in a warehouse. But this change of scenery isn't too bad. I don't have to worry about people watching me and the disgusting sweaty gym smell. If they have another deal, i'll most likely buy it. I probably wouldn't purchase their regular price classes because it's in Encinitas which is far from where I live. But for $3 for private sessions, its worth it!

I started as an intermittent visitor when they were in the studio in the strip mall, joined when they were hanging out in Poway at the soccer park and continued the path as it moved to the business park. This is were life becomes a marvel! Challenges occurred. FWRD+ focused, stayed on track and prevailed. The new location is a class junkie's spaced-out dream! Yes! There is plenty of space, fresh air with giant fans, rollup doors and beautiful plants. It's at least 4 times the size. The vast lobby and the roomy classroom with the high-impact floors are touched with a tasteful decor. Multiply this with the quality classes, merchandise and other woman-owned options like Fresh Creations, you've got more opportunities. You can workout, hang out or even eat while you're becoming reacquainted with yourself, new friends or simply being.
