My step-daughter has been enrolled in their youth programs since age 3 (now 5 1/2) starting with the Twinkle Toes class, moving up to Beginning Combo Ballet & Tap & now loving the youth Hip Hop class. She has enjoyed all classes. The staff is very attentive & great with all the diversified youth, pre-teens & young adults. Tiffany utilizes the Art of Dance to facilitate mentorship, confidence building & other life skills to our Kauai youth. Juggling all the different pieces was difficult for me from afar, and Kaia was able to streamline and simplify, ask questions to clarify, and was clearly very strong at coordinating a lot of moving pieces. We wired a slack guitarist, Paul, who was so sweet and totally knowledgeable around the history of music on the islands which my husband and guests loved. While he claimed to be back ground music which could be totally fine for another party, we so enjoyed giving him our attention as it was just so pleasant while we enjoyed our cocktails and settled into the groove of the night (We hired White Ginger for catering, also recommended!) The one fire dancer, 2 drummers and 2 dancers performances went off without a glitch, and the performers were gratefully adaptable to the space, as the rain and winds were a bit tough, so they had to move creatively within the space, which they did, with grandeur and integrity. I was so pleased, and have every reason to put my fingers together for another manifestation for friends and family! We were an intimate group of 6 adults and 1 fire dancing loving child, and it was all just right (even if we wished others were lucky enough to be in attendance - they would have been a great combo for a 20 person or more party easily!)

The Annual Kauai County Farm Bureau fair is back in town! It runs on the last weekend in August…read moreevery year (25th thru 28th)Thursday thru Sunday. The KCFB puts the fair on annually and the proceeds help to fund the organization's many important projects and scholarships throughout the year. The theme for this year is "Keep Growing and Farm On". There's lots to do!: Rides are provided by E.K Fernandez. They've got all the classics: Ferris Wheel, Ring of Fire, The Zipper, and lots of stuff for the little keiki as well. Food booths are put on by all sorts of Kauai organizations varying from different clubs to pop warner football teams. There's a huge variety of food as some vendors have become semi-famous for the food they put out every year. There's all kinds of live entertainment throughout the fair grounds. Last night there was a hypnotist and a magician. Music headliners are usually on Friday and Saturday nights, I think. The farm bureau tent is worth the trip on its own. There's tables and tables of locally produced fruits and vegetables on display for judging and awards. I especially like that because what's farming on Kauai without a little friendly competition? 5 Stars simply because the Farm Bureau works really hard to make this happen every year, and of course... Because it's the ONLY show in town.

The staff is always kind and the manager is simply the best, and has the desire to help the Kauai Community. They play one movie at time, unless it is a special event such as during the Waimea Town Celebration in February, where they host a lot of great movies throughout the week (special passes required).
