Truly. Don't bother. Overpriced for what you are getting. Their customer service is disgraceful, If zero stars was an option that's what I would give it. They just want to sell you the pieces and will say anything to get the sale "these couches are indestructible" "liquid just beads off of them" You think you are buying high end furtinature at the cost you are paying but that's absolutely not what you are getting. The warranty company they use is even worse. I use the word warranty very loosely because they don't actually do anything and deny most claims. do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere. read more

I've never been to an urban barn before! I stopped by this location tonight in search of a few new pieces of furniture. I have hunted high and low for a nice tufted ottoman for a month with no luck, but I hit the jackpot here! I got a beautiful floor model for a great price. The ladies working here were very helpful, and were so happy to look up some items I was in search of. Not to mention that the products in this store are just gorgeous. Totally my style. Many of the pieces are quite expensive, but you can definitely see the quality. I'll be back! read more

I love Urban Barn and their style vibe BUT, I thought I was purchasing quality to high end furniture and that is not the case. I have owned the Durango Sectional, which is one of their most popular sellers, for 3 years and am very unhappy with it. The fabric started pilling almost immediately and they wouldn't do anything for me, saying the fabric was not warrantied. To make matters worse, I contacted their Customer Care line almost 3 weeks ago because the foam inside the cushions is splitting apart. I get to sit on a lumpy couch now and it looks 8 years old instead of 3. If they don't come through for me, I will have to purchase new furniture. It shouldn't take this long to help a customer if service is any concern at all. UPDATE: As of February 10, 2016, Urban Barn has agreed to exchange my 3 year old Durango Sofa for the Boone Leather Sectional. All I had to do was pay the difference between the two. I am updating my review to 4 out of 5 stars due to their willingness to work with me and finding a solution. As a result, I will definitely shop there again :) read more

Ok, Urban Barn may not fit into my style choice but it is certainly worth a stop in to see what wares they pedal. The focus on the store is certainly more contemporary but does have accessories that suit my classic taste. I should have stopped here when I was looking for couches as they had some that really impressed me that would work in the odd shape of my living room. As I've said before I've been on a hunt for picture frames for my basement and was thoroughly impressed that they displayed all of their picture frames (the collage ones that is) very high on the wall so you could actually see what what they looked like without fear of denting or dropping them. I found the lighting to be dim which bothered me - I like a lot of illumination when I'm shopping so I don't miss anything. However, I do understand they do this for effect and atmosphere. Prices are on the higher end, but when it comes to your home and surroundings shouldn't you have what makes you feel comfortable? read more

My family and I stopped by yesterday and the manager Amber was the best! She helped us picked our lighting and even told us about their couch sale they're having the next day. Love, love, love Urban Barn! Sleek modern furniture and trendy home accessories make me come back to this store over and over again. Urban Barn may not be carrying the most upscale pieces of furniture that scream luxury, but all the pieces look beautiful and sophisticated. And the fact that most items are reasonably priced makes Urban Barn even harder to resist. I would definitely recommend Urban Barn to those who want to add pizzas to their living spaces without spending a fortune. The store sells fantastic lamps, coffee and end tables, bed frames and decorative objects. The latter are to die for! Everything from bowls, wall clocks and wine racks to vases, storage boxes and rugs looks simple, modern and in good taste. What I love the most about Urban Barn is that despite the fact that the store carries lots of items, none of them look useless or cheap. One last thing I have to say about Urban Barn is that I am really impressed with the customer service. Will never shop at Urban Barn again. My husband and I purchased a sofa and matching loveseat in December 2012 from Urban Barn. We specifically chose a Canadian company because we wanted to support local economy as well as receive a product that would not be harmed in our climate. The sofa and loveseat were delivered on February 9, 2013. When they arrived we noticed the sofa and loveseat did not match the colour of the fabric swatch we had chosen but that wasn't a big issue to us. As soon as we received the sofa we noticed an awful smell coming from either end. We contacted Urban Barn immediately. They asked that we come and pick up a deodorizing spray from them and try that. The deodorizer seemed to work for a while but then the smell came back. We were concerned perhaps the wood was rotting on the inside of the couch and could affect our health. We went back to the store and they said they would see what they could do. A few weeks later they gave us a verbal agreement that they would replace the couch and asked us to bring in a cushion so they could send it to 'Canadian custom manufacturers' to be matched for our new sofa. Months went by and they kept asking for more time. Eventually they said they could not match the fabric and did not want to replace the couch. By that time, it was fall 2013 and the smell seemed to have become less pungent, so we didn't push the subject. Unfortunately, the next spring the smell was back! We contacted Urban Barn again and they said they could not help us at all. We feel totally ripped off after spending extra money in hopes of having good quality furniture that would last a long time...and it arrived stinky and smelly...worse than a used sofa. Had an absolutely disappointing experience at the Skyview location, with store manager, Janel. Our Ryerson Sofa was pilling immensely and the quality was appalling. I was told to contact Janel, as she was the store manager. Numerous times Janel promised an answer "by the end of the week", however Janel did not follow through ONCE. I called the store many times, leaving messages for her to return my calls, as well as sent her emails - zero response what so ever. As a loyal Urban Barn customer, I am extremely disappointed that Janel did not address my concerns. As a company who prides themselves in above average customer service, Janel is a very poor representation of this. After a month of silence, I contacted customer care who were lovely to deal with. I will now be in contact with the regional manager to ensure no customer has the same experience as I did. Recently purchased some furniture at this location, was overcharged and never noticed right away, manager is trying to refund the difference they over charged me on a gift card instead of paying me back onto my credit card. My sofa showed up with a scratch on it, been trying to resolve this for a while. They won't do anything about my sofa and having a hard time getting my money back that they owe me. I would not recommend shopping at this location for sure. Apparently only the manager can give a refund as well. Also furniture never showed up on the date it was supposed to and sat around waiting for it then was 4 days later when it arrived. Only average quality as well not as good as i expected it to be i would compare it with maybe the brick but more expensive at best. read more
