The fact they werent compassionate and offered this as a first solution was truly jarring. They then offeredd well if you can provide proof of death we can take off the fee. For someone like my husband who never even used the membership but they got hundreds of dollars from over the past year thats just so greedy and very untactful. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Corporate was no hep as its a franchise but i will be posting reviews everywhere.

UPDATE 4/29: My friends and I decided to sign up for the gym after our trial day yesterday. It was…read morea Monday and the gym was super packed, and we did have trouble finding empty equipment to use. However, I felt super motivated when doing cardio here because everyone around me looked so fit which made me keep going. I also tried doing some free weights. It's going to be challenging to make the gym a habit for me but I really enjoy the vibe here. One thing to note is that we noticed the West Plano location is open 24 hours on weekdays, but this location is not. They also don't have a Crunch-O-Meter tracker on the app to check how busy the gym is. Maybe that will come with future updates as the gym gets bigger. ---------------------- After my recent terrible experience as a potential member at 24 Hour Fitness in East Plano, I felt unmotivated to sign up for a gym with my friends. However, one friend has been searching for a new gym since he recently moved to Texas, so we decided to check out Crunch Fitness. I must say, I was amazed by the giant facility. We toured a few gyms this week to compare amenities, and Crunch Fitness has everything the others offer, and MUCH MORE. My friends enjoy lifting weights, and the other gyms in the area have only a couple of racks or are too expensive for our budget. Crunch Fitness has SO MANY racks, free weights, and different sections that focus on various workout interests. Their cardio section look nice, and I love the butt working section! The amenities that stood out to me the most were the ride cycle classes and hot yoga. Those weren't offered at other nearby gyms, so seeing them available here was a pleasant surprise. I also value honesty above everything, and Carter (who gave us the tour) actually explained all the fine print fees that people usually complain about ($60 maintenance fee and $2.25 monthly processing fee). Despite those extra fees, the gym still costs less than $35/month with their highest plan, Peak Results. Also, Carter explained the cancellation policy on how you cannot cancel after 7 days, and before 90 days, during the tour, so that we won't be shocked if that comes up later. The facility is also super clean and well-maintained, although I don't know if that's because this location has only been open for 96 days. My friends and I are still debating, but this gym is definitely my top choice. They have multiple locations in Dallas (especially West Plano and Frisco, where I work), which would make it easier to visit with no excuses. I really liked the facility tour, and we'll probably go back this week for our trial day to check out how busy it gets during peak hours (6-7 PM).

Working with Bryan is by far the best investment I've ever made. I'm in my mid 30s, work a…read morecorporate job and have stayed somewhat active in my adult life like most of us try to. I've had a consistent gym membership for years and thought I knew how to workout. Thought I knew enough about food and eating healthy that if I did both regularly, I should have a decent physique but we know the mirror doesn't lie. I realized that if I wanted to make a change, I would need to work with someone who is a professional in this field. It was important for me to work with someone who has the actual knowledge about exercise and doesn't just yell at me to PUSH. Someone who can explain to me the methodology and reasoning behind what we are doing. Someone who has studied and spent time in perfecting their art. I found Bryan through Google reviews and from our first session, I knew he was going to be my trainer. And wow, has he been a game changer. I have been working with him for 6 months now and I'm in the best shape of my adult life. Its an amazing feeling waking up and realizing how far you've come. Clothes fit better, skin looks amazing and you're excited to be in photos. Bryan loves doing what he does and it shows in his work. His passion for bringing the change to his clients' lives, his dedication to his work, and his friendliness are only a small number of reasons you should finally decide to skip that one vacation or buying that toy and instead invest in yourself by working with Coach Bryan.

I recommend Bryan if you're looking for a Coach who is supportive, adaptive, and very friendly. He's easy to get ahold of via text, email, or over the phone. Definitely a Coach worth investing in who will make workouts fun, challenging, and worth your time and effort.

They also had a promotion going on with bring a friend free for Cinco de Mayo weekend. The gym size is smaller than the East Plano location and has fewer equipment options. The free weights and machine areas also feel a bit more compact, with less space between sections. That said, I still like that they're open 24 hours on weekdays. I believe it's the only Crunch Fitness in the area with the flexible hours, probably due to being close to UTD. It's still a solid gym when I'm on this side of town.

The gym itself was clean with good variety of equipment but does get very packed even after 7pm. The cardio equipment is a bit uncomfortable because the phone/tablet holder is way too low. Not good for posture to look down when doing cardio. The real issue with the gym is the false advertising. I assumed a 3 day pass meant 3 days of visits. After my first visit, the front desk worker said it was actually only one day but he gave me guest passes to come back again. When I came back today, I was told that the guest pass is one day only if you are brand new. They immediately asked for a day fee so it seems like a scam to get payment/commitment asap. Attached photos of the email confirmation, sign up page, and guest pass I was given.
