This was my first time coming here. My husband and I got a 60min deep tissue couples massage and it was above and beyond our standards. They have great measures in place to help stop the spread of Covid19 which we were thankful for. I had the pleasure of having Dania as my masseuse and my husband had Maria. Hands down both ladies gave the best professional massage we have every received we were sad when the time was up. I was hesitant at first because the price was so low but I figured why not! I got what I paid for! I paid for a FULL BODY MASSAGE. The therapist massage at times with one hand, massaged only my lower legs and back. Then put a hot and wet cloth on my face which was fine but then she, Claudia, did not dry my face off! The man who gave me a massage was way too heavy handed and didn't really take the time to focus on my trouble spots like he should've. Went for a facial and massage. Facial was absolutely horrible. I get facials a lot from other places and wanted to try somewhere new. The facial consisted of a cleanser being barely applied with what felt like 2 fingers, then a 10 minute hot towel... the towel goes cold after a minute..then the exfoliator again applied with 2 fingers just long enough to go around the face twice, then 10 minute hot towel. Then the paraffin wax mask, that felt nice but then again as soon as it was applied 10 minute hot towel and then he left the room for those 10 minutes. Then he came back, peeled that off and then did a cream mask and another 10 minute hot towel, and I heard him on his phone when his nail would click the screen. Then the moisturizer, literally the quickest application, no facial massage at all. No hand or arm or neck massage. If this is how they train their facialists to do them I'm surprised they get clients for them at all. Then my massage. I said please focus on my back but do a full body gloss over, ya know a little of everything but most of the time on my back. He totally skipped my feet and hands which was super important to anyone during a massage unless they don't like it. I do massage and facials for a living so I expected it to be like how I do my services and was just so disappointed. I was lured in by the positive Yelp! reviews, the ULTRA CHEAP $39/hour massage, and the easy online scheduling. Needless to say, I adore this place. I got in for a Saturday afternoon (true story: they were completely booked out. I kept refreshing the scheduling page until someone cancelled and an open spot appeared!!!) When I got there, they had me fill out some paperwork about medical history and areas I wanted to work on. My masseuse, Bertha, was wonderful. She wasn't chatty like some of the other massage therapists I've had at other places. Anything she said was spoken in the quietest whisper, and it was mostly just directions (like flip over) and stuff. I was slightly concerned since I hadn't seen anyone mention Bertha's services on Yelp, but I didn't need to be. She did an amazing job. My job is very labor-intensive and it gets to the point where I can't move my arms or bend over because my muscles are so knotted up. She worked out every darned knot! I felt like a huge load had been lifted off of my shoulders as I walked out. I definitely recommend this spa!! read more

I had a great experience with my massage therapist. She was professional and has great skills. My only take away is the scent throughout the spa wasn't pleasant. I've never been to a spa that doesn't have some type of aroma therapy scents like lavender, eucalyptus, or lemon. Once my massage was done and I went to check out I noticed that there's an enhancement that I could've added on for aromatherapy but it wasn't offered or mentioned in the beginning. I would recommend that it's mentioned at the time of booking. read more

Just got home from my first visit, here goes: The Good: the place was new, neat and clean. They greeted me instantly and my therapist seemed to be pretty nice. Plus you can't beat a $39 1-hour massage!! The Bad: I went into my room, there was a bag to put my clothes in but no table to place my purse. My therapist tried to help by removing it from the floor into the sink.... The Ugly: My therapist was sweet but very heavy handed which at many points made my treatment unbearable. For someone who only wanted a medium pressured Swedish massage, it felt more like a deep-tissue. After asking her several times to ease up on the pressure, she would soon revert back to her firm hands and vigorous rubbing. At one point my back became so tender that she used something to cool it down. When I asked her what it was, she told me that it was HAND SANITIZER!! Although it did help, somewhat, I feel that she should have told me first and allowed me to decide if i wanted that on my back. In the end: I wouldn't go back. After telling the lady at the front of my issue, she didn't offer a any service or additional discount to make me feel better about my experience. In a nutshell- Urban Day Spa has good intentions but poor execution. read more

June 25, 2015 was my second time coming to this place and both times were great experiences. I took advantage of the awesome June special (Urban Getaway Spa Package). It consisted of a luxurious table shower with a body scrub and hot clay body mask, a facial, and classic massage. The package totaled $125 which was well worth every penny. It was so relaxing!!! My therapist was Carlos and he was very professional and considerate of my comfort levels. 5 days ago I have frequented this particular location on more than one occasion. The first visit was okay, given the fact that I have experienced better. For convenience of location, I decided to give it another shot... over the next two visits, more specifically the last visit, I was highly disappointed. I requested a classic massage with an add on, in addition to , specific targeted areas. And unfortunately , outside of the classic massage for 1 hour package, my additional requests were not honored even when I re-confirmed them with the masseuse prior to getting ready for the massage. The gentleman did not target the areas requested verbally and on paper, instead, he did what he wanted. The young lady at the front desk ,upon my time to leave, was dismissal as well to my dissatisfaction. Today I finally received a call from the manager3.5 weeks later, offering only 0.5 hour massage for my dissatisfaction and I politely declined and will not be returning. In customer service, when a customer is not satisfied with your service, you aim to try and correct the actions that contributed to the disservice while offering something comparable to what the customer originally paid for ... the correct thing would have been to give me a complimentary service to what I initially paid for, which in return would have kept me as a loyal client, and possibly bringing in other clients as well due to recommendations. Not to mention, your staff was given a good tip due to my generous nature even when I did not receive what I paid for, therefore that generosity was not earned or reciprocated to say the least. I do not recommend this location to anyone who is privy to great quality massages and service. read more

The place was very nice looking and I had a good feeling when I walked in. However when I was called in by Maria she was confused about my name and I said it's Maha and she couldn't understand. I had scheduled my appointment at 6 and a friends appointment at 6:15 with the name Marva. She took me to a room and said I need to take my blouse off and lay down and I was like okay what side should my head be and she patted on the bed saying feet here I confirmed twice and then walked out. As I was taking my shirt off she barged in with the other employee saying she needed that room so I need to get out and my friend explained we were both getting the same thing and I said okay let me put my shirt on. I don't understand what the issue was or why it was okay to slam open a door when I have no shirt on and leave it open in front of 3 people to see. And then the other employee left and asked do I stay here or go and she said no stay here. So I laid under the sheets and she came in and goes "NO I SAID HEAD HERE PLEASE" and sighed and shut the door with an attitude. And after that I knew I wasn't going to feel comfortable. She could've said it nicer specially when I double checked with her twice since she hadn't told me and did as she said. As the facial began I could smell her breath over my face as in some sort of dairy product was consumed by her. Not only that but I have lash extensions in which she kept rubbing off with a hot towel over and over just my right eye when there was no need I've never had anyone rub lashes aggressively during a facial. Later when I got up I could see some on my cheek from falling off. I could feel the towel continuously tug on my nose stud which disappeared by the time I got up in which she didn't even bother mentioning. Definitely not the best message I've ever received. Most people go for a back massage, where my person focused mostly on arms and legs. After my extremity massage she lift my head to a full upright position putting strain on my lower back. I also came out smelling like a grandmaw, so I needed to go home directly after to shower. read more

As someone who has had literally hundreds of massages in my life, I can honestly say that my massage today with Byron was at the top of my list of best massages. I have a bit of a complex medical history and he not only listened to what I said, he completely understood what I was saying. Byron approached my massage in a therapeutic way, I could definitely tell how much he cares about his gift of massage therapy. I left feeling so much more relaxed, it was amazing. I've already recommended him to a number of my family and friends, but I just had to get the word out on here at how thankful I was for this awesome treatment. Complaint. My husband and I had appointments yesterday 07/27/21 at 3:45pm. It was his birthday. While my husband said his massage was ok, this was the very first time, my visit wasn't. I was completely dissatisfied, which is very unfortunate because I have been visiting this establishment for many years. I saw Ana. Ana had rushed - fast moving- hands on my head, like she had somewhere else to be, then proceeded on by back for what felt like only 5 minutes. On my back, she had used her forearm for one side, which is standard, but then, didn't do the same on the opposite side of my back. Not only did I feel lopsided when I left, she spent 30 minutes - if not longer- on my arms. Really? I kept laying there thinking it's going to get better - but it didn't. On the way out, normally one is greeted with a small dixie cup of water. This didn't happen, nor did they give us the clipboard with the sheet of paper to rate how the massage was. At the checkout, the young man had asked how everything was. I told him, but that was of little concern to him. He said well you stayed the hour so we have to charge you. No concern from him at all. Only he wanted to charge me. He mentioned that he put in my chart to not put me with Ana. Again, anyone can have a bad day, but I was so looking forward to a relaxing massage, but the entire time laying there, I was thinking, it's going to get better. It never did. What does a person do laying there? Get up and say this is not what a relaxing massage is suppose to be, and walk away? that would be rude. I so needed a relaxing massage, which, I did not get. I went in to get a deep tissue massage to help with the knots in my shoulders. I have been to multiple places for this issue, and when I have asked them to really focus on the shoulders, I still received equal treatment to my entire body. This place was finally the answer to my prayers! The spa itself is small but clean and nice. I would prefer a cheaper price and not have all the frills, and urban day spa was great for me. I was treated by Bryon. Before we started, he went over my check list and we spoke about my problem areas. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge of muscles, nerves, and pressure points. He gave me the perfect combination for what I needed. He spent a lot of time on my shoulders, at times explaining things in detail and making sure I was okay with the pressure. He also spent time relaxing and working my whole body. As someone who has a working knowledge of anatomy, I was blown away at how he knew what muscles to specifically focus on when I mentioned pain in certain areas. I really liked that he spoke to me about what was going on with my muscles. It increased my confidence in him and made me feel like he could truly help. It was all professional but still friendly. He does have a firmer touch, but that is what I needed, and he made sure I was okay with it. I left feeling like I got exactly what I needed. My shoulders feel better, my knees feel better, my whole body feels relaxed, and I am a little more educated on exactly where my problem spots are. I'm so disappointed with my service. The first time I came with my mother in law, and it was amazing. This time however-Horrible!!!!! My appointment didn't start at 7 it started at 7:10... mind you this is a 60 minute massage. The massage consisted of maybe 15 minutes of actual massage and about 35 of rubbing with pressure.. Not at all relaxing. And as I mentioned earlier my 60 minute massage didn't start at 7 however it ended promptly at 8. This is ridiculous if you're going to offer a 60 minute service make it 60 minutes not 50. I'm going back to Derma Technique where the massage is worth the price and lasts the entire time. Even though it is more expensive it is worth the quality of service. read more

I was really disappointed in the quality of my deep tissue massage. The prices are great and the location is very clean. It's not a fancy schmancy spa which is fine. Everyone was very nice, including my massage therapist but I walked away feeling like 80% of my deep tissue massage was spent just putting lotion on my skin when I asked for a firm, deep tissue massage. When I booked my appointment I gave some background information so they could make a good recommendation. I'm a triathlete getting ready for a race and have a lot of knots and kinks that need to be worked out. I'm disappointed that they booked me with Nancy...who is super nice and I'd probably recommend for a feel good massage. If you're an athlete or someone who likes firm pressure, I would not recommend this therapist. There are a lot of therapists to choose from and Yelp didn't have reviews on everyone so I was counting on the receptionist to understand my concerns and needs. Maybe they were too focused on finding a good time for me since evenings are all that work. I'm bummed that I took a chance trying a new place and didn't get what I was looking for. My half ironman race is in a few days and I honestly would have been better off foam rolling at home. As I was checking out, I shared my less than stellar experience with the receptionist and she recommended Aide and Ricardo for really firm pressure in a deep tissue massage.
