The perfect place to take your pup out to socialize! I had seen this place all over my socials, so I finally decided to try a monthly membership. My dog has had the best time getting to run around and play, and the staff here are incredible at keeping the dogs safe and the ground clean. My dog and I have both enjoyed some snacks/drinks here. Her favorite has been the pumpkin pup cup, and I love their cranberry marg. Their pretzel sticks were also quite delicious! Perfectly crispy with just the right amount of salt and butter on top. Urban dog bar is a chill place to visit with or without a furry friend. I like how they have plenty of seating in both covered areas and areas out in the midst of the dogs. They have different events as well such as trivia and live music. Overall the area was very clean considering the amount of dog there. They have so many drink options both alcoholic and non alcoholic. They also have a pretty solid menu as well. I tried the hot chicken with sweet potato fries. The chicken was juicy and wasn't spicy but had a good flavor. They provided sauces on the side like ketchup, some kind of dill ranch or aioli, and mustard. I do wish they would've chosen a different bun. The option provided was a bit dry. One thing about ordering food is that there is the risk of a dog stealing a bite if provided the opportunity so just keep that in mind. read more

Would it be creepy to come here wit no dog? Cuz I would. Luckily I came here with my friend and her pint-sized Jack Russell. There were SO many dogs here of various shapes-and-sizes and the staff did a great job keeping everyone safe! Also a surprisingly good selection of beers on tap as well as cocktails. Ok what an actually amazing place to exist. We were just passing through Nashville and needed a place to stop. This was definitely the highlight of our roadtrip - there is a super spacious off-leash area for dogs (indoor and outdoor with plenty of AC and iced water in dog bowls) and little splash ponds for the dogs who wanted to cool down! The food was actually also very good - they've got a good selection of human and doggo treat options as well as lots of drinks at the bar. Service was impeccable and the people were so nice. Cannot say enough nice things about this place and I'm so jealous of all the people (and dogs) of Nashville who get to come regularly!! read more

When we go to dog parks there are no little dogs. I was happily surprised at how my shih Tzu tolerated being a curiosity for dogs of all sizes. It was her birthday (not that she cared). It was a cold and rainy day and yet we were comfortable under the tarps, the canopy and indoors. It was so much fun watching all the other dogs play and run and rough house and generally get along like they known each other forever. My pup stayed close, but she did feel comfortable enough to walk away from us a few times. The Smashburger we got was tasty and I didn't even mind all the other dogs that wanted us to feed them while we were feeding ourselves. Dogs are much more tolerable than flies. We also stayed for a little bit of the trivia night and realized that we had not watched enough horror movies to know any of the answers. It was a great vibe for humans and canines. The only downer was that we happen to go on a night when they were out of bacon, flavored pupcups, and the dog meals so my girl had to settle for a little bit of Smashburger, which she probably preferred. read more

WARNING!!! This place is super cute and we were really excited to stop by on our road trip to eat and let our pup stretch his legs. Unfortunately they require vaccination records to allow you to come in. While I completely understand protecting the pups, there is NO heads up you will need these. We naturally assumed that it was like any other restaurant/ dog park where vaccination records are not required. We stopped by on the Sunday of a holiday weekend and our vet was closed, so we were denied entry. I had such a blast at Urban Dog Bar! I went on a Tuesday for a friend's dog's birthday party and it was just pure joy. Watching all the dogs run around, play, and have a blast in such a positive atmosphere was amazing. Even if you don't have a dog, it's still such a fun spot to just hang out, sip something (like the delicious spicy margarita I had!), and enjoy the doggy chaos. Do not go here under any circumstances. My dog was viciously attacked by a pitbull and he ripped part of her ear off. They viewed the video and concluded that the attack was completely unprovoked. However they haven't turned th video over or anything to help us identify the owner of the dog who viciously attacked mine. He was going for the neck she could have been killed if I did not intervene. If this wasn't bad enough they also have not followed up on any of our emails. They haven't even attempted to reach out and check on how my dog is doing, after surgery on her ear not that they care at all. This place is dangerous and they shouldn't allow aggressive breeds like pit bulls at the park, but the owners clearly don't care about animals or their customers. read more

The dog bar is a fun idea but just keep in mind it might not be the best place for a high energy puppy. Dogs aren't really allowed to run around too much or fast or gather in groups. We brought our 6 month old lab to learn to socialize and be corrected by older dogs but that doesn't seem to be allowed. There was one main dog growling at ours who was antagonizing and triggering our dog. Yes our dog was in the wrong for trying to still roughhouse and barking back but only our dog seemed to be corrected. That dog didn't seem to be corrected even after aggressively going towards other dogs. Our dog was the one being asked to have a five minute cooldowns. My husband decided to run to the car to try the training collar to give our dog a beep tone when he's being too crazy. I told a referee and they agreed it might help to try. As soon as my husband walked back with the collar, they told us our dog had to leave and go home. They didn't even give us a chance to try it. We were asked to leave soon after paying to get in. We left both feeling so crushed to the point we don't think we ever would want to return because we felt blindsided. read more

Love this place! My dog is somewhat easily overwhelmed, so I avoid going during peak hours, but love a midday play sesh here! The staff is fantastic and very attentive. It seems like they are trained to read dog cues. A couple of comments mentioned dogs not being able to play in groups, or run around - I've NEVER seen the staff intervene on groups of dogs that are all playing nicely. However, If there is even one dog in the group that seems to be getting overwhelmed, they will break up the play session, but I think this is a GOOD thing not a bad thing, as it prevents the situation from escalating. I paid for a membership this year, and will continue to do so. read more

Don't come here if you actually want your dog to play. They will rip your dog away and push them when they try to play in groups of more than two. They do this for "safety" but allow people to eat burgers and other food with the dogs around? I saw that create more aggression than 3 dogs jumping around together.
