Stopped by midday for an afternoon pick me up! Unlike most donut shops, these were still fresh and they had a great selection. I wanted to try them all but my bank account kept me in check. The service was quick. I ordered two donuts and I couldn't wait to eat mine at home. I tried their Mexican hot chocolate one there, and it was big enough to share with a friend. While these are more expensive than your typical donut, they are also bigger and packed with flavor. There is (some) indoor seating and a larger outdoor space, in case you want to eat in. But when it comes to taste, the donuts are just mid. They all seem to be made from the same basic base, no matter the flavor. Take the Fruity Pebble donut for example--it's literally just their regular donut with some cereal sprinkled on top. For $6 a donut, I expected a little more effort or creativity in the recipe, not just toppings. I am not a frequent donutter, because, well, ya know, there's this thing called the waistline....BUT I got a donut and coffee today with one of my best friends. I don't think I've ever had a donut that was crispy and soft at the same time. The donut had a delightfully soft (yet firm) crunchy exterior as you bit into it, yet the inside was fresh and airy but at the same time firmly-soft (if you know what I'm trying to say). And, it tasted so fresh, like it was fried in brand new oil. It was kind of a new experience for me... Anyhoo, the outdoor seating was quite nice, with big trees and Christmas lights to enhance the shady canopy of the widespread airy trees. This place is pretty good. Their iced caramel latte has a bittersweet taste with a hint of caramel. However, the caramel flavor fades a bit once some of the ice melts. Cute shop in downtown Riverside within walking distance from the courthouse. I liked the cool decor & vibe there, and the employee that assisted me was awesome as well. There's ample seating inside and outdoors, and I believe they also serve alcoholic beverages (beer, if I'm not mistaken!) It's a neat place to check out if you're in the area. I decided to load up on caffeine and sugar for lunch, so I opted for a hot white mocha and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut. The white mocha was sweet and delicious as I had hoped, and the donut was HUGE & super sweet (and expensive at $5), however some of the cereal had lost its crunch. I recommend coming here with other people, getting a few different donuts to taste & share because it would be difficult to finish one entire donut. You guys this place is top tier!!! Let me tell ya! I am an instart shopper and these were my customers. When I saw it was a doughnut shop I was shocked because I was going to have to get up early the next day to surprise my husband with regular ole doughnuts for his birthday. It was fate lol. This place is absolutely adorable! So many amazing, cute and fun doughnut selections. The staff (every single one of them) are soooo friendly (which also makes me want to come back). They were my customers last night and they were so kind (which is rare btw) shopping for them. I was so grateful for that which makes me want to come back and support them and tell everyone about this place. The doughnuts the boys had this morning were a hit!!! My little boys loved them!!!! And my husband was one happy camper lol. He said the doughnuts were fire!!! I'm totally coming back on my cheat day ( it's going to be a couple months) and eating there with my family. What I enjoyed the most about the doughnuts is that they had the Simpson pink themed doughnuts. The taste was something similar to those at Universal Studios (In my opinion). They had two vegan donut options when I went, which was this strawberry whipped cream sugar donut one and a matcha one I think. The vegan ones have a leaf symbol next to them. They also had dairy free milk options for their hot drinks so I got a hot chocolate with oat milk. The hot chocolate was one of the best I've had. I usually regret getting it from other big chain cafes but this was perfect, not too sweet. The donut is also really good. Donuts are more expensive but they are bigger than the standard donut. I think it's worth it! I'd come back again. I do wish they had more vegan options like chocolate or cinnamon but I'm happy they had any at all. Fun coffee/treat spot downtown. Parking is simple and free. Huuuuge donut selection! We tried an old fashioned donut and a strawberry shortcake donut, with a variety of coffees and cappuccinos. I have mixed emotions and confusing thoughts regarding this "Donut Bar" First part of the conundrum is the slightly larger than average size Lemon Pistachio donut was absolutely frikkin amazeballs!!! Second when speaking to the owner he claimed he had never heard of Joe or Say Hi to Mathew- I found that extremely disingenuous as you cant own a donut bar and not know these guys. He went on to claim the name was a coincidence and that he would soon be changing his name because he is not affiliated with any other Donut Bar. I get how a name can be so good several want it and use it before each other notices, but the Logo and the big winged pink donut- there is NO coincidence there. Bathrooms out of order with a pretty good sign (like they have been broken from now on) and they create a line out the door and onto the plaza by only allowing 1 or 2 in at a time. I was waiting but saw no clue as to when I should go in, and that's how I met the owner. Lemon Pistachio donut gets 5 stars but dishonest business practices cost them a few of those stars read more
