The real issue is the shop's cleanliness--or lack thereof. The customer area was visibly dirty, with sticky tables, crumbs scattered on the floor, and a generally neglected appearance. If the front of the house is this unkempt, it's hard not to wonder about the state of the kitchen and food prep areas, which is concerning for any food business. Potential customers can go to the outside side window and take a look for themselves to get a sense of the conditions inside. A deep clean and better upkeep would make a huge difference. Yummy donut store located on Van Buren and in the same plaza as Albertsons. Purchased a total of 4 donuts and the final price was around $6.50. I really liked their heart shaped original glazed donut and it was very fresh tasting. Their Boston cream donut was super delicious Nice amount of cream inside and not too sweet. Good balance of flavor with the exterior chocolate glaze. Buttermilk glazed donut was good too. Owners were really nice and came out and chatted with me. I love getting the apple fritters from here and the Bavarian cream but mostly I go for the fritters they are the best in town. I normally get them later in the evening for desert because the morning they are too heavy for breakfast. It's just crappy that this store is open 24hrs and they always run out I use to go all hours of the night and they would be making fresh donuts all thru the night. I get that donuts are more of a morning thing but like I said it's 24 hrs and they should have supply all thru the night like they use to. This donut shop does the trick for me when I'm craving donuts. I got a dozen donuts over the weekend and enjoyed them. I don't know the name of all the donuts so bare with me if I don't get it right. We got a chocolate cake donut, pink sprinkles cake donut, cinnamon twist, super donuts, bars in maple and chocolate, custard one and jelly, old fashioned in different flavors and apple fritters. The flavored coffee is good, such as the mocha and vanilla. I like getting the vanilla because it has just the right amount of sweetness. I haven't mocha in a long time but I remember I did like it. All the donuts tasted great and were good the next day. I Enjoy coming to this location because it has always given me great customer service. Came here early morning or some people would call it late night, was craving a donut. However since I was already here I figured to try some of their different ones that people talked about. I had the regular glazed donut which I was really impressed by how soft warm and fresh it was, the flavor seemed different than most glazed that I have had though. But it wasn't too bad. I ordered the maple bar but I was not as impressed. It was not as soft and I felt that the maple was too sweet. The chocolate covered custard filled all I needed was one but I wasn't really a fan maybe it was because I already tried two bites of different donuts but it just seemed different. The double chocolate donut was good though I needed a glass of milk to wash it down it felt like I was biting into a chocolate milk donut.
