The food is top quality, the service is great like our local Cheers. Jimmy knows everyone , by name. It has the local barbershop feel. My cousin recommended this place and I needed to buy doughnuts for the office for a going away party, so came here because I needed them earlier than when most doughnut shops open. Freshh Donuts is located in a pretty unassuming strip mall. It's open 24 hours! I haven't been to a 24 hour doughnut shop in the middle of the night since my days in Berkeley. In any case, I was pretty excited to try a new place and buy doughnuts at 3:45am. I was a bit nervous about whether they'd be essentially day-old doughnuts with new stuff being made to be ready for later, but the doughnuts seem to be made all throughout the day and they were all really freshh (heh). I got three dozen doughnuts and pretty much let the guy at the counter pick for me. They were a big hit at the office. I tried two doughnuts. The cinnamon crumb was really good. I love the texture of their yeast doughnuts. The cinnamon crumb was flavorful without being too sweet. This is always the doughnut variety I choose when I try a new place, since it's also sort of a Southern California signature flavor. The other one I tried was the blueberry old fashioned. An old fashioned is always the second doughnut I try when testing out a new place. For me, the blueberry old fashioned didn't quite do it for me. There really wasn't any blueberry flavor and it was way too sweet. The only thing I tasted was sweet. And the texture isn't quite there. When I have an old fashioned doughnut, I want nice crispy edges with a soft inside, whereas this one was a bit soft all over. Perhaps there was so much icing on it that it ruined the crispiness. As for price, Freshh is actually surprisingly expensive. From prior reviews, looks like they used to be cheaper. But now, they're definitely one of the more expensive pink box mom and pop doughnut shops. One dozen was $13.50 or $13.75, so more than $1 per doughnut even buying a dozen and no offer of a free 13th doughnut. Three dozen doughnuts plus two additional doughnuts and a cup of coffee came to $45. I was initially incorrectly charged and had to help the guy figure out how much I was supposed to be charged. Maybe the menu prices changed recently so he was still getting used to it. I feel like this place is around 3.5 stars, but I rounded down due to price. There are better doughnut shops around that are as good or better and also cheaper. But this place is open 24 hours so come here if you need a late night doughnut fix. read more

Ok so my BFF brought home a bag within half eaten donut one day and I stole it and JESUS LOUIZAS I was like what in the hell did I just eat ... she said "1. I am so surprised you of all people are that and, it was trash and 2. it was old from the beginning of the day". It was like 7:30 PM!! Guys, the donut tasted as if it came out of the oven or whatever they do to make them. Finally I drove all the way from my home 32 minutes away and got my own BOX. Boy. Oh boy. I waited up until 2am to go there to get some fresh donut holes and to try their old fashioned blueberry donut some folks were recommending here on Yelp. There was only 1 man running the place -both cooking & selling the donuts. He was very busy, but nice and polite considering how much he was juggling on his own. I despise the very idea that my sons were given terrible customer service because I decided to stay in the car this morning (I was in pajamas for this early morning school drop off). Not that it should matter but I raised my boys right--they know to say "please" and "thank you." When my youngest son (11 yo) was asking for his donut and chocolate milk, albeit shyly, the man behind the counter told him, "Just tell me what you want. You keep saying things but you're not telling me what you want." One of my favorite donut places in riverside, I used to live at stonehaven and go here often. Theres a couple places in Riverside, but this is definitely my go to. I especially like the donut holes here, I really like donut holes in general, and I feel like this place has the right amount of glaze on their donut holes, and I love just stopping by randomly and grabbing a dozen of them. However, they do run out towards the end of night. Pretty funny, one time they were out and I wanted to order some, so the worker cut a regular donut up into pieces and gave them to me. It's not really the same... but I appreciate the effort! The donuts in general are often pretty fresh, and they have a wide selection ranging from blueberry donuts, to the usual chocolate, creme filled, apple fritters etc, all of the standard donut offerings. Me and my family have been patronizing this donut shop for the past 16 years! A few weeks ago my daughters were walking home from school and it was a hot day. They went in and asked for a cup of water! The gentleman told them no he could not give them water and then told them "actually you can have one cup and you can't have any ice".
