Elaine did a stellar floral cover-up tattoo for me over three sessions. I was nervous going into the process as I know cover-ups are difficult and aren't a favorite for most tattoo artists. However, she was super open to all of my ideas and gave me an awesome tattoo that I'm proud to have now! She custom designed me a piece based on our conversation and inspiration photos I sent. Super easy to schedule the first consult and each session. She obviously takes a lot of pride in her work and was proactive about scheduling in time for a touch up to make sure the colors were healing up to her standards, even though they looked awesome to my untrained eyes. I got a custom, freehand Tibetan skull and peony that he drew on the spot (which fits my body perfectly), and he also incorporated an existing tattoo I have on my hip. The drawing process took a while, but it was well worth it to have something that suited my body just right. Rad put me at ease with his sense of humor and professionalism, and he genuinely listened to my input while incorporating his own ideas and artistic style. I have a few more sessions to go, but I am already in love with my new tattoo! I was flying into Denver for the week. Wanted get a Denver bronco logo on my arm. It says to email for an appointment. I sent a picture along with my email to show what I wanted. I receive a response from Chris. He informed me that he would be able to do it. I was really nervous about it being that I didn't know Chris or even Urban Element tattoo. But they had great reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. And now I know why. Every time I sent an email he would respond by the next day. When I arrived he showed me his draft. It was a little bigger than I wanted it. So he redid it with no problem. He started on my tattoo and an hour later he was finished. It had color, and shaded areas. IT WAS FANTASTIC. They are appointment only, but I've found this ultimately worked to my advantage. I met with Rowell a couple weeks prior and he designed just what I described to cover up my previous tattoo just perfectly. No cookie cutter art given here! I got my tattoo from Katie, and the initial experience was wonderful; however everything after going home from the tattoo was awful. I noticed she didn't fill in the whole tattoo, and told me to wait until it was healed and she would fix it. She then failed to reach out for several months, even after I reached out within a week of the tattoo. Finally I emailed the owner after becoming frustrated from the lack of response. The owner cc'd her to our email and at that time she apologized and assured me I had fallen through the cracks but would be a top priority. However the weeks following the apology she did nothing to work with me to reschedule fixing the mistake from the first appointment. The owner did try to fix the situation but by this time I was so overwhelmed with the miscommunication, anxiety and frustration that it is no longer worth it to me to t go back in. I understand she's a new, young artist, but I wish I'd read this post before I went in. read more

I recently got a tattoo from Elaine. I'm happy with how the piece turned out but Elaine was disorganized and unprofessional. First, she forgot we had a consultation and wandered into the shop 15 min after our appointment not even realizing she was supposed to meet with me. I liked her art and vibe tho so I still booked a tattoo with her. When I got to my appointment, she was still busy finishing up her previous tattoo. She said it would be about 20 minutes. An hour and a half later, she finished the appointment, then proceeded to sit down and start drawing my tattoo. She wasn't prepared at all and hadn't done any work on the design. I had to sit there and wait for her to finish work she should have done ahead of time, and she rushed through it because she wasn't ready. 2+ hours after my appointment she finally started tattooing me. She did a good job, but there's so many talented artists in this town, why waste your time on someone who is so overwhelmed and unprepared. read more

She was very organized with her bookings/ consultations and I was able to get my tattoo done in two sessions.
