This company is the worst. They do not know how to install a roof or fix the roof they installed. We had our entire roof (pitched and flat) replaced by them in 2018. We have had the flat part of the ceiling leak EVERY YEAR since they fixed it. We call, they schedule us, someone comes weeks later and they say they "fixed" it but then next time it rains it leaks again. They blamed our vents so we were stupid enough to pay these people to remove the vents because we didn't want to void the warranty by having someone else do it and guess what? Now the roof leaks in DIFFERENT parts. Worse part is that now we're starting to see STAINS on the ceiling from WATER DAMAGE. The last guy said it doesn't affect the integrity of the roof but he found wet spots THROUGHOUT the ceiling 2 weeks AFTER the rain. I have a toddler in here and they want to claim that a ceiling that is still wet after 2 weeks of no rain is safe??? I just HOPE that there is no mold, mildew, it wood rot in between these layers of wet wood! My husband has been calling and they are giving him the run around about scheduling someone to come. I tried calling and when they did call back they called to say they had no updates on when someone could assess the roof further. I have written a review in the past about our issues with the install and the first leaks, it's lost in all the other complaints they have about leaking roofs. If you still are on the fence about using this company you can read all of those and save yourself the trouble we didn't. Avoid them! read more

We purchased system in September 2025. It now has not been working consistently for 3 weeks and it's only 8 months old. You call and you get an answering system. They don't come in person to fix the system and want to do everything remotely. Their customer service is horrible but their sales team is fantastic. Beware! RUN. I see these ads out there that now they're offering plumbing - good god, RUN! I paid for a 50 year roof and I'll be surprised if it lasts 5. Jaxon Raab that liar in sales said they don't use subcontractors, that was a full out lie. Subs aren't even from the US. They literally PUT SHINGLES OVER A HUGE HOLE and tried to close the job as final. Thankfully the inspector made them redo the entire roof. Oh and I never got the battery I wanted. Thanks again Jaxon... not enough that my unit almost burned down my house from the arching in the panel.... My project was supposed to take weeks, it took a full year. The initial contact was outstanding. Staff friendly and quick response . From there is did not do so well. 1. The individual who was sent to give me the quote, Cody, was late with no call or text indicating that he was running late. I had to call. 2. Once here, I learned he had not done gutters or the type of corners I was having trouble with. I only hire people direct who have done the work themselves. 3. He tried to upsell me with other services. Running through a list. Tried to sell me solar, roof, air conditioning, house wind. I already had solar with a well known company that is very much still in existence. But he did not even recognize the name of Sunlux, assumed they were out of business. (Nope) 4. Never received the quote he promised, to be sent hours later. Seems their focus is really solar or air conditioning. Not gutters. Why even quote me then? I said it was an extremely small project with photos. I liked the initial appointment staff, was even ready to hire them in the spot if the quote was reasonable... but the lack of follow through and extreme high energy and loud voice of the estimator, ended that . I was expecting a person who would do the work themselves or who leads a team. I got someone who had no direct experience and needed a computer to give a quote. No thanks. Waste of time. read more

I purchased solar panels and a back up bettery from this company for my home in Buena Park. They are quick to respond for sales, now that I need warranty service it has been a nightmare to get them to come out. Going on 4 months and still can't get them out. I received a call from Kristina and assured she will follow up, no surprise at all that they have yet to resolve my issue. I also received an email from a Raymond Torres, see attached screenshot. I've replied to that email several times with no response. I called customer service and they say that case number is closed. The following day they called and set up an appointment to have a technician connect virtually with our system. We received a call from Josh Demangelaere the service tech. Josh had already found the problem and ordered a new inverter from Solar Edge, the Inverter manufacturer, and had set up delivery and explained that Solar Edge would come and install it when it arrived. One of the Tesla Powerwall failed and Josh D was able to contact Tesla who diagnosed the problem and a new Powerwall battery is on the way. had a ton of repeated issues and time waste with an expensive system that was not working. I was eventually escalated to Cherice Hess who was outstanding and quickly got things actioned and fixed requiring less of my time and ultimately getting everything working correctly. I am still not happy to have had to pay $750 for a service on a 60k system that required so many repeat visits and calls. But at least it is fixed and Cherice made things happen. read more

Semper has great sales (for the business) but the rest of the process sucks. We had two Powerwalls installed and had a major issue where the installers burnt out the bus on my main panel. It took YEARS to get them to even acknowledge that it was an issue but proceeded to say the panel was like that prior to installation of the batteries. Fast forward a few years and my house almost burns down do to a smoldering main breaker that was overloaded by the subpanel that Semper installed. Again, no response from semper. Hell, I even reached out for a quote to install a new main panel. All I got was crickets! Fast forward again 6-months and there is a recall on the Powerwalls. So, I call Semper and they are friendly and quick to get the replacements. Now they text to schedule and say they will charge for the service call and labor! I contacted Tesla and they confirmed the recall is at no cost to the customer. Semper response...go find another company to do it, we don't make enough from Tesla (paraphrased). I will never do business with Semper again and will encourage others to look elsewhere. read more

I paid Semper Solaris to put in an air conditioner in my house. Years later when I had someone out to fix something, the technician was a certified HERS rater( they come and make sure everything is installed correctly and up to code). This technician told me that my unit was missing a "return air plenum" He explained it is in the manual and is supposed to have one. Well Semper Solaris is avoiding my calls so I guess I'm off to small claims court. I am very disappointed with their customer service which is slow and lacking. I have never written a review before but I had to. WORST customer service I have ever experienced and hoping to spare you. Installed a solar battery - from the day it was first installed to operating it took over 4 months. Upon inspection, the inspector literally said there is so much wrong, I don't know what to write. Semper refused for over a month to come out and check what they could fix. Eventually they did and got reinspected and failed again. Explanation...It is okay we messed up, that is why we have inspectors to tell us what to fix. There were wrong breakers installed, breaker box installed wrong, wiring done wrong, units in wrong location, too close to water source, no base that was required...and so many more. Once again was slow to be willing to come out and fix. Third time was more errors and had to do again and finally on 4th try got it. Flash forward - one solar battery died - I have now been over 3 months trying to get an answer when they will look and have had 15 calls and just get run around on warranty. Worst part is - they have a generic customer service who you leave a message with. They will call you back 1 time - about 2 days later. If you don't answer - you will have to start over as they won't call back and can't email them. The receptionist will tell you this is there number one complaint but the reps will tell you they have NEVER heard this... Anyways - no good deed goes unpunished as tried to support the military business but this has been a disaster... Ironically different company - Ecoforce did my solar panels and had a great experience but they didn't do batteries at that time. read more

My neighbors did hours of research and shared with us that Semper Solaris was the best around. Bob King came to our house to meet with us and was super helpful in explaining everything that needed to take place for us to get solar and stop paying the super high electricity fees each month. The install went great and we ended up needing a new roof as well which Semper also installed, and looks SO much better than before. The crews that came were really great. Polite, on-time, and helpful explaining through any questions we had, and above all, clean! They picked up and left things as good if not better than they found it. We have a big house, 3 stories, around 3,750 sf.. It's been a few years since our roof and solar were installed and our electricity bill averages around $150 per month instead of around triple that before, or even more during the summer. Unfortunately, this company has completely failed to live up to the values they claim to represent. I had a solar system installed about two years ago, and everything worked fine until recently, when the main breaker inside the Tesla box started tripping. Since then, I've called three times. I spoke with Agarfield and Leah, and each time I was promised a call back by the end of the day. It's now been days -- and still no response. Zero follow-up. No technician. Nothing. There's no escalation path, no accountability, and frankly, it seems like they're avoiding me entirely because this is warranty work -- not a new sale. It's incredibly disappointing that a company that wraps itself in the flag and talks about "honor" and "integrity" can't even return a basic customer service call. This review is for the exceptional consultation with Alex Darr. We had a lot of questions about getting additional solar and a Powerwall battery. Alex was thorough and very responsive to emails. After talking to multiple solar companies, I enjoyed how Alex was not trying to give me the "salesman pitch" but just sticking with the facts and anticipating issues that would arise by tilting panels on a flat roof. I do a lot of research before moving forward with a project and Alex definitely addressed the concerns and regulatory limits for these projects that I would have eventually asked. I made a warranty claim on one of my panels which was operating below par level. It was easy to report the problem but difficult to get a response from the company. It's been 6 weeks without a reply or some sort of action from this company. They claim the customer service is beyond comparable when trying to sell their product. But yet here I am waiting to get this unit replaced with disappointment. I would never recommend this company to anyone. This company is what's wrong with this country. Unreliable. If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. The customer service is terrible and they withhold information from you. Oscar Hernandez will be super nice and courteous the first time you meet him. But, be aware because he will tell you to sign things and then read it later because it's a lot of information. That was my first mistake. He also does not apologize for anything. All his text messages sound like ChatGPT created them. They pride themselves in being Veteran owned and in their motto which means "always faithful" but all they want is your thousands of dollars and when any issues arise Oscar takes days to respond or there is no response. Secondly, they were an hour late on the first day of installing my panels and did not update us on an ETA. My husband and I changed our work schedules around that day in order to be home when they arrived, so we had to change our schedules again last minute. Lastly, the J-box is installed facing the front of the house and it has become an eye sore every time I drive into my house. I asked them to relocate it to the back of the house where it can't be seen, and instead moved it a few inches away from where it previously was. read more

The salesman Corey Krien , came out to my house to give me an estimate on insulation for my attic and then I had a problem (very hot)area in my garage/attic. He wasted 20 minutes of my time, as he wasn't interested in taking a look at the attic or above my garage to see what the problem was and what could've been done to fix the problem. I asked him two times where his ladder was. Apparently, he parked down. the street around the corner. I don't even think he brought a ladder with him. What he wanted to do is just give me a price without looking at anything and I'm not interested in that, that's not doing his job so I told him that's it had things to do. I had a roof put on about six months ago with this company and Mr. Clark was the consultant, he did a Excellent job. Sorry I won't be getting my attic problem solved with you guys. A while back they installed solar panels on our house. Everything went well. Recently I contacted them to see if I can upgrade my monitoring unit and/or get a battery backup. Two projects I was willing to pay for. But they just don't reply. Called and left messages no callback. Sent some emails got a confusing reply, asked for clarification. Nothing. I am not a fan of giving low scores, especially for a veteran owned company. But I am extremely frustrated. We did our roof and solar panels in June of 2021. We have had leaks every year since then!!! Each time we had to call, open a claim, WAIT for them to come out and fix it, re-paint the ceiling. I am beyond annoyed. Every leak has been in a different spot on our ceiling. We have a add on and it has a flat roof and that portion is torched down. After 5 different leaks they finally redid the ENTIRE torch down the end of last year after another leak. Well this last November rain and it's leaking AGAIN!!!! Always right before the holidays when I am going to host. I am extremely annoyed. They just can't get it right. The roofers are no good. Yes, it's covered by warranty, so eventually they will come out and fix it (but really not fix it, because they failed every time). We have to take off time from work, the inconvenience of having workers here, and repairing and repainting for like the 6th time now!!!! We have spoken to Carlos the manager previously he said he was going to gift us a $500 GC for the inconvenience, he never did. When I brought it up to him, he said he didn't say that. In reality I could care less about the GC I just want my roofing done professionally and correctly. We never had a leak in this house with previous roofing, it was just an old roof. So when we wanted to transition to solar panels we ended up agreeing to re-roof as well. This has been a nightmare experience! I have no faith anymore in the company's ability and knowledge in roofing. We filed ANOTHER claim a week ago and still waiting for a callback. read more
