Nice quant coffee shop... Went with a regular cup of coffee with a splash of cream and two spendas paired with a chicken sausage breakfast sandwich.... Service was fast... Nothing special... The coffee shop itself was nice with plenty of seating...

Cool, casual atmosphere. Went here on a Thursday night for the poetry open mic. The host made the vibe super welcoming and fun! He kept us all engaged and it seemed like everyone lowered their guard. The gentleman behind the counter gave excellent service, explaining all the options and answering our questions as we took our time deciding. The matcha latte (oat milk) that he made me was exactly how I wanted it to be! I will definitely be back.

Such a great spot to work! I ventured out of my apartment recently on the hunt for a nice spot to work at for a few hours and stumbled upon Urban Grind on Yelp. Black-owned and operated, this cozy spot is definitely a new favorite of mine. Upon arrival, I was so lucky to grab a parking spot right outside of the cafe for an hourly fee. When I entered, there were already a number of patrons inside but it was cozy and quiet, perfect for a morning of tasks. I grabbed a hightop seat in the corner that offered an outlet right under the table, really allowing me to get plugged in and settled. When I went to the counter, the barista was such a sweetheart. We chatted a bit and she made her recommendations, leading me to order 3 coffees that morning! All were delicious and made just right. When ordering, there was another woman behind the counter and she just *looked* like she knew what she was doing lol. I asked her if she was one of the owners and she was. It's always great to see owners and managers working hard alongside their team! She gave me some breakfast recommendations and all of them sounded delicious but I ended up going with a croissant breakfast sandwich. Stellar choice. The sandwich was hot, cheesey, the croissant was so flaky and soft - wow. I tore that thing UP. I ended up sitting and working for about 5 hours in the shop with no disruptions. I didn't feel rushed out and the barista checked on me every so often to see if I needed anything. Overall, a fantastic experience and I can't wait to return for another day of coffee and work!

A couple of days out of the week, I like to work remote at a coffee shop. Making my way through back owner ones, I tried Urban Grind. I was almost discouraged from the reviews but, I like to judge establishments for myself. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the barista and was even complimented. Lunch was about to be served so I just ordered a Lavender Vanilla Iced Latte for the moment until I was hungry for lunch. The latte was delicious and flavorful. Around noon, I went ahead and ordered lunch which was a Turkey Bacon Club and a bag of chips. The panini was definitely cheesy ( as you can see). The shop itself is a little "intimate". There were extra tables on another side of the shop but, they didn't seem to be available to sit. Therefore, most customers were kinda packed together. If you are taking a few minutes I would definitely suggest background noise cancelling headphones as the shop music was a bit loud ( IMO).

The classic Grind & Go Breakfast Sandwich

The egg is there, the cheese is there, but one piece of microwave bacon does not a savory bacon croissant make. In no way shape or form is the sandwich as advertised on the website. I gave this a two since the employees are nice

This was my first time visiting although it's a 9min drive from my home. I parked on the side by the dry cleaners because there was free parking. I was greater as soon as I walked in. The decor is very dark academia with the wood and velvet seating. My breakfast sandwich was just okay. My order came out pretty fast. I'll probably just grab a pastry next time, but I'll definitely be back to try the seasonal coffees.

Our order was a Lavender Latte and Cappuccino , Old funky furniture in a kind of messy floor plan . Mellow music playing. We also split a huge cinnamon muffin . Nice outdoor seating area with flowers. They have a 15% Yelp coupon on specialty drinks. Service was quick and prompt. Muffin was very good. I would return here

Quirky neighborhood coffee shop in West Midtown. The inside has a lot of character with furniture that doesn't match each other, adding a uniqueness and personality to each corner of the shop. Things you should know: I. PARKING There's street parking off Marrietta St NW you can take full advantage of & off 3rd St NW. If there isn't any available spots, then you can park in the apartment across the street from Urban Grind. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY Good ~ I like that they have sugar free caramel and vanilla syrup options. I've never personally tried their pastries but I see eoople order them all the time so they have to be good, right? IV. CAPACITY For a Sunday morning, available seating was slim. Business is good.

Stopped by here for coffee and breakfast and to get a little work done! ***LOCATION*** Was happily surprised to find parking here! There is paid street parking out front, but they do have about 3 spots on the side of the building for customers that is free, which is very nice! I got here at 7:50 am right before they opened, so I easily got a spot, but not sure if there would be spots later in the day. I only stayed for an hour then went home! ***EXPERIENCE*** I came right at opening, so there was only one person working, and she was clearly still trying to get everything together for the opening, but she stopped to let me in and take my order! I didn't see the wifi password anywhere and I hate asking lol. Since I was only there for an hour, I just used my hotspot. There was a power strip by the table I chose, but I didn't see outlets by all seats. There was a booth in the back that I wanted to sit at but it looked super worn down with no outlets, so I opted for a normal table. The inside was cozy, but I personally didn't live the vibe. It was okay, just not my favorite local cafe. Definitely worth coming occasionally but won't be my go-to. ***STAFF*** Friendly! It was a quick interaction and nothing extra, but I heard her greeting and saying bye to other guests as well! ***PRICE*** Normal price for a coffee shop! Around 5$ for a coffee and 5$ for a croissant with egg and cheese. ***FOOD/DRINKS*** Cold brew with cream - it was okay, but a little bitter. I would say 7/10 Egg and cheese croissant - also pretty good but very flat and the egg was kind of runny. I would also say 7/10 for the sandwich ***CONCLUSION*** Nothing wildy exceptional but overall a nice coffee shop to meet friends or get some work done. A decent food and drink selection and reasonable prices! Bonus for at least a few free parking spots too and nice staff!

Support black-owned businesses! We stopped in to Urban Grind for a quick caffeine stop before dinner. There are plenty of flavored latte options - too many, in fact. I ordered an Iced Mint Condition, which is basically an iced peppermint mocha. Interior is plush and comfortable - a perfect coffee shop to settle in and sip on a beverage while working, studying, or just chilling. Parking isn't great but that's like most places in the area. If you're looking for a great coffee shop in the area and are also looking to support black owned businesses, Urban Grind is a no brainer!

This one let us down a bit. I don't like a bitter cappuccino. And that's kinda what this one was... a bit too bitter for our taste.

There's a record player, and one shelf of coffee beans that the cafe is selling. It's hard to know what the vibe is because the space is just so sparse, with even the "chrome yellow" shade in the name of the cafe nowhere to be seen. There are plenty of folks who come here to work, but I wouldn't recommend working here because the wifi is given out via temporary codes with a 2hr time limit (photo attached) and the tables are on the small side. Reviews tend to mention the quality of the drinks, and the drinks are good... but not my preference. The matcha leans on the sweet side, and the coffee tends to taste like a very dark roast. In terms of food, the only food is overnight oats with dried berries that comes out to almost $10. Overall, would not recommend unless you're a coffee connoisseur looking to try different roasts around the city.

I went on a Friday morning, and the restaurant was moderately busy there were spaces open, however, it was still active, and there were a few full tables and people having conversations. They had anime and various other things playing on the televisions throughout. I went in for simply a pastry and specifically to try out the apple pie Matcha. I will say it did not disappoint. One thing I always love when I'm getting a Matcha is stellar presentation and it met that. With the piping of the cinnamon cold cold foam, to the apple crisp and caramel on top, it looked beautiful, and I was happy to enjoy it! This had a great balance between the whole milk, and the amount of Matcha you can see it is a nice dark green color It also wasn't too sweet, and I felt I was getting apple pie from the drink through the hint of spices in there, along with the garnish. I was able to secure a table against the wall for two by myself to take a quick snapshot of my tray and try out my drink before leaving. I also got a caramelized onion croissant with Gruyère cheese. These were both strong flavors, that worked well together. I do wish I could've gotten heated, but maybe that's something you have to do upon request. Overall, I can't wait to go back and try some of the other items, and dine at the restaurant in the future, looking forward to the next seasonal drink! ** be sure to park in the lot next-door, to have it validated inside!**

I circled the block before I found street parking about a block away from the coffee shop. Because it was a weekday morning, I wasn't surprised that the streets were busy and parking didn't end up costing too much. After a brief walk, I approached the building and first impressions were fantastic. Daydreamer is connected to an apartment building and the aesthetics are on point. Like, this place is gorgeous! There was way more seating than I expected, inside of the cafe, outside on the terrace, and inside of the attached leasing office. There were a number of tables, booths and even comfy couches to lounge on. Electrical outlets weren't plentiful, but I eventually snagged a booth that had a plug. Yay! There seemed to only be one menu at the front and it said 'please don't take', lol. So I stayed very close to the register as I read the menu, but I'm hoping they just ran out or my 4-eyed self missed the larger menu on display. I decided to go with the sugar graham hot latte w/ oatmilk and one of their pastries. The employee behind the counter was really patient and so kind to every customer, he was running that counter like the navy. 5-stars for him! I see why this place is such a hit among other Yelpers. This has got to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing coffee shops I have ever seen. In addition to the gorgeous midcentury modern decor, there is a ton of seating available. I believe the coffee shop is attached to the apartment building, so the theme runs between both large seating areas. It was so cool! My matcha was delicious! I ended up going with the Morning Matcha (Lavender and White Chocolate, I added oat milk) and it did not disappoint! The prices were on par with other coffeehouses in the midtown ATL area. I did not have a chance to try the pastries but hopefully next time! Overall, this was a great experience! I look forward to visiting soon. Parking can be difficult in midtown so be mindful of that when visiting. Definitely a great place to study and get some work done if needed. Happy Eating!!
