I want to love this place but it's so hard to because they are never consistent. Service is mediocre at best and their coffee is nothing to write home about. I came here on a busy Saturday morning and there was a line to order. When it was my turn, i didn't get an apology for the wait. I did order a strawberry banana smoothie and vegan sweet potato bread. The bread was ready upon paying and was so moist and full of wonderful spices. I waited 20 minutes to follow up with my drink order since they've slowed down quite a bit. I approached another staff (a much kinder and friendlier one) and said that they don't have strawberry, or any other flavors, besides banana. I didn't want to drink a straight up banana smoothie so I asked her if I could get the strawberry lemonade instead and she happily obliged. This mended some of my frustrations with this place. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This establishment does not reflect the values of a community as vibrant and supportive as Grant Park. While it may appear welcoming and well-run on the surface, that image quickly falls apart when you look at how things operate behind the scenes. I have personally witnessed how the owner, Rahel, treats employees, and it is deeply concerning. As many other reviews have noted, there is a consistent pattern of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and a dismissive, often hostile attitude toward staff. What's most troubling is the disconnect between the public-facing atmosphere and the internal reality. Customers may see a polished environment, but behind that façade are employees who feel uncomfortable being themselves, who are reprimanded unfairly, and who are neither properly valued nor treated with respect and dignity. A business is only as strong as the way it treats its people, and unfortunately, this establishment falls short in that regard. I made the mistake of going to the wrong location because it was not updated on yelp but second time is the charm and these people do not disappoint. The chicken sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant was absolutely delicious! I also ordered a strawberry and banana smoothie and I'm about to have the best day because that was a breakfast of champions. If you are ever in the Grant Park area definitely stop by the grant park coffeehouse This location is perfect for probably getting some work done or if you wanna just enjoy a nice breakfast with a coffee or smoothie they got everything like everything is delicious more than likely just based off of my experience. read more

I do not know if I would give this place another try. For one, there was a huge fly in the pastry cabinet. Secondly, the coffee we ordered (cookie butter latte and chocolate chip Cookie dough latte) were very mediocre. Could not taste the flavor and both were very dark. Third, and the most annoying thing, is I waited 40 minutes for a breakfeast sandwich. For some reason, they had the kitchen in this little shelf on the second floor, instead of near the ordering counter. Apparently, they missed our order entirely, and we saw multiple get their food and leave before us. All we got was two offhand sorries, and that was it. Also, the food itself was mediocre. The sandwich was good, but the baked foods were so dense. The only enjoyable one was a cookie. Not worth the wait or headache. As far as the atmosphere, it was fine, lots of seating, and seemed nice if you only wanted something quick. read more

Great ambiance and beautifully airy space. Would be a perfect place to meet with a group. Coffee was delicious and was served by pleasant and efficient staff. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and salad and while both were reasonably priced neither was particularly good. Salad toppings didn't taste fresh and while I understand it's a Mediterranean salad I didn't expect 34,837 olives. Sandwich interior was a win...but the bun not so much. I will definitely be back but perhaps just coffee next time. read more

A Godsend!! For starters I genuinely forgot this coffeehouse was added to my neighborhood because I frequented Refugee Coffee up until they closed last month. So I was gagging on Starbucks until I saw this shop mentioned on social media and I couldn't wait to try it. First of all, the customer service is excellent. They literally speak as soon as you walk in the door. That took me aback in a good way. I ordered a Latte and a sandwich and found both to be perfect. The wait for the sandwich was somewhere between 7 and 10 minutes but you can tell whomever is making it really prides themselves on their work and presentation. It's worth the wait!! The only other thing I would mention ( and this of for the owner) is that from about 6 feet away outside the shop looks closed. I was really bummed walking up and only proceeded to see if there was a note saying why it was closed so early in the day. To my joy, the glass is just heavily tinted. If I were you I'd hang a bright red sign saying 'we're" open in the doorway so that you don't lose out on new customers. Otherwise kudos to you I love this place read more

Loved this Black owned coffee shop! Honestly had a croissant and bomb African tea. Only thing I didn't like was the street metered parking . It's also small so you may have to wait for a seat during busy hours. Also there's a restroom but you'll have to go downstairs to get to it - it's in the adjacent building, would love to come back! read more

A cute lil coffee shop in downtown Atlanta, right next to Georgia State University. There's not a lot of seating but what they do have is great. There are a few tables that are big enough for multiple people but not so big that you feel guilty for being at it alone. They tables situated in the windows are nice and cozy. The coffee is good, I just got a plain oat milk latte so I can't give a more robust review there but I would definitely get coffee here again based on the latte. The music is slightly loud which can be a bit distracting but noise cancelling headphones or AirPods solves that issue. As far as I can tell, there isn't public wifi so take that into consideration if you don't have a hotspot and need to get some work done. I ordered their Roasted Jerk sandwich on Texas toast right before a small rush came in and sadly, it was forgotten in the chaos. I kindly asked the staff about it, they apologized and offered a bag of chips to make up for the wait. The sandwich was wonderful and will probably be my go to lunch order when I come. read more

Very nicely decorated coffee shop with great morning vibe. Staff was very friendly and service was quick (there was about 8-9 people in the shop. Egg & cheese croissant sandwich was really good. I believe this is a new location at the corner of Grant St. SE and Georgia Ave. SE. I love, love, love this place. It is beautiful, roomy, great selection of coffee and food and great customer service. The business is currently doing a soft opening. I had been telling my husband for months that this building would be great for a coffee shop and Voila!!! it happened. I went in yesterday for a cold brew with mocha and cream. It was delicious so I went back today for another one and also ordered the chicken salad sandwich. They were so good. I will be spending all my lunch money there. I'm a simple girl who likes plain coffee, a good cup of plain coffee. If I'm going out of my way, paying for parking, to go to a business that specializes in coffee, I expect a good cup of coffee. Coffee here tasted like the drip machine needed cleaning. The coffee itself no better than my corner Starbucks- not a clean taste at all. Can't wait for Spiller to open down the road. Bad customer service. The girl took my order and walked away without saying thank you. I needed a receipt and couldn't ask her for one since she walked away. After about 10 minutes or so, I had to go up to this lady to tell her I've been waiting for a warmed croissant. The girl that took my order saw me waiting for a long time and didn't do anything to let the kitchen people know about my food item. 15 minutes for a plain croissant!
