this place has changes since we last came in. they have added extra indoor space which you can sit at, they take reservations but we got lucky there was a table avaliable when we came in. we didn't go on the balcony this time as it appears to have changes as well and I wasn't sure if it was reserved or open seating. the tuna tartare was sooooo good! had a great spice & citrus level, I loved the chips it came with! we also tried the bruschetta which was good, I enjoyed the balsamic perals however my significant other did not. we were excited to try the fig and brie flat bread but they were out of brie so that was a bummer. I wish the tuna tartare was avaliable at the regular urban becuase I would definitely order it often. we had a passion fruit mocktail which was also delicious! not too sweet and it had a bit of carbonation. our waitress was kind of all over the place , I got my tartare before we got our water/ mocktail. we weren't given napkins until we had to ask for them almost all the way through our meal. decent experience overall and i'll be back for that tartare

I love you a whole brunch! Highlights: * Cocktails * Brunch * Rooftop Views Review: The migas were bursting with flavor and a bit of spice. The potatoes were perfect, the bacon extra crispy, beans were earthy and delicious. The Bloody Mary was balanced, refreshing, spicy and boozy. The highlight of the day were the waffles, crunchy exterior, warm, fluffy center with richness from the butter and sweetness from the syrup. Can't wait to go back and try their other menu items. Rating: 9/10 Tex-Mex Migas- egg, pico de gallo, grilled jalapeno, cheddar jack, avocado, sour cream, refried beans, breakfast potatoes and bacon. Waffles with fresh fruit and a blueberry sauce.

Food and service were great. Stopped in for a Saturday brunch, booked a reservation on the way to the restaurant. Had chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, and a banana french toast that were all amazing. Highly recommend, will be coming back. They could use an espresso machine though, fresh coffee to go with brunch would be great.

Had a nice birthday dinner at Urban Rooftop. I made a reservation because I had a big party, and somehow accidentally canceled it and they were still able to accommodate us. We did apps and cocktails before heading down to Urban Eat.drink for dinner. The bruschetta, bread and butter, and Gettin Figgy wit It flatbread were all delicious. For drinks we had French 75, Espresso Martini, and the Water Lilly and all the drinks were made very well. Nice experience, would be a good place for date night. I dined at Urban Eat.drink again recently and went for cocktails at the rooftop afterwards. The French 75 and Espresso Martini were still good go-to cocktails. The Espresso Martini even has a cute design now like a latte.

Such a great space. IYKYK Went for the first time yesterday to meet with friends and catch up. We showed up right at opening which was fine but definitely will wait next time a bit. Just so not to rush the staff. Everyone who waited on my group was so kind. We started with a few drinks. The old fashion / Water Lilly / and (seasonal Rum Rum Rudolph) My group sat outside which was gorgeous as it was sunset. Phaleb the bartender was fantastic was very quick with drink turn around and knew his stuff. I would definitely wanna try some of the specialty bourbon they have. Stay tuned After a while we had ordered some snack the large snack board and bruschetta. Both were amazing. I will say that the snack board could have used a jam or honey or even like a mustard or some kind yet the assortment was fantastic. The bruschetta had a really cute presentation along with congealed balsamic vinaigrette beads which added the perfect flavoring. Aden was the next server we had the pleasure of having. He quickly snagged a heater for one of my friends as he was a bit chilly with the wind and the sun going down. Over all I can not wait to go back and just enjoy the space If you are looking for a great chill spot definitely check them out.

This is a great little indoor/outdoor bar in an office building in DT Round Rock. I will have to come back to enjoy the outdoor area because it was raining on the day of my visit. The drinks were well-crafted, and we nibbled on a delicious flatbread pizza. They had live music and great lighting. Super cool place. Check it out !

Nice rooftop in RR Drinks, music what more could a girl ask for We always get the regular old fashioned as the one on tap is too sweet and the sazerac. Can't vouch for the food at the rooftop but the setting and cocktails are a great way to end the evening

Exceptional drinks and yummy appetizers. If you're a vodka drinker like myself, I highly recommend getting the "The Cougar". It had just the right small amount of sweetness to it and was perfect to sip on. As for their food, they mainly have light snacks /appetizers, and I would recommend getting their Bruschetta and Margarita flatbread. I'm not a fan of Bruschetta either, but theirs was so delicious! Urban Rooftop is located in downtown Round Rock. When you arrive, take the elevator to the 4th floor I believe. My friend and I arrived on a Friday at 4pm right when they opened and were seated immediately. However within the first 2 hrs it got packed so I def recommend making reservations. I forgot the name of our waitress, but she was incredible and super friendly. Loved the ambience and vibe, and will definitely be back again very soon.

Headed here for a drink before heading out for dinner. We sat outside so we could watch the beautiful sunset. It did not disappoint. A little chilly, but doable. Not much on the ambiance scale. It was busy, lots of people, but not a lot to look at besides the highway. I feel like they could do a lot more with the rooftop to enhance the "vibe." Our waitress was efficient but not friendly or informative. Not sure if she was having a bad day, or that was just her personality. We ordered drinks and bruschetta for the 3 of us. The bruschetta was really delicious and fresh. Our drinks were ok. Nothing spectacular. Lemon Drop, Black in Thyme, and Cougar. Overall, for a "Rooftop Bar," I would have expected a lot more vibrancy and friendliness. I felt like I was visiting a waiting room at a doctor's office.

GREAT view of the highway *wink wink* - it was just funny that this place highlights being the best rooftop bar and restaurant in the city. We came to Urban Rooftop for drinks and drinks we had (and so did the other people in the room.) The specialty drinks here are great and I FEEL like this place is typically a pretty chill place to hang out. Unfortunately at the same time my group of friends and I were here so was another group of ROWDY friends. They were SO loud that I had to YELL at the person sitting directly beside me. They had OBVIOUSLY had too much to drink. We spoke to our server who agreed with us and said they were loud. She claimed to have looked for the manager and offered to move us to a separate area- which we appreciated but I truly don't feel the move would have made a difference. It was blatantly obvious that others in the room were also bothered by this loud group. I truly don't see the issue with addressing the group and asking them to be considerate and not yell at the top of their lungs to tell stories. (btw we were told they were already headed out the door, which is why we chose to stay in the same spot.) Anyway... the bar was nice and even nicer outside where the live music was. We'll definitely come back and maybe try to sit outside for the music instead. It's just not ideal with it being over 100 until after 9:30. Definitely recommend for drinks but we still have to try the food. Service was good but a bit slow. I found myself realizing I had ordered a drink and forgot about it because it took so long. Willing to give this place another try and give it more stars. It just wasn't the experience we were told we'd have.

The drinks were really good, and our waitress was cool. My only complaint is that the music with a little loud and so when the waitress was talking I could not hear what she was saying. The view when you're on the patio was nice as well. We also tried the small charcuterie board and the bruschetta and bread and butter - all tasty and no complaints.

Oh my gosh this place is expensive. Much pricier than the Urban across the street. First they had no menu so you had no idea what you were paying for. I had two glasses of wine, two small street tacos, and a cheese board with six cubes of Parmesan type cheese and one square of a soft cheese some crackers and some olives. All for 48.00. Are you kidding me? Service was ok. Not over friendly and definitely not informative on prices. View of traffic at rush hour. Not the best view! Will not go back. Guy in front of me in line had a tab of 188.00 already! Must have been on a date. Ha! read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for awhile. I LOVE the main restaurant. It has great food and wonderful, creative cocktails. I was not expecting this to be as beautiful as it was. What a wonderful, comfortable, relaxing lounge. There was live music, but it wasn't at all too loud to continue conversations. There was plenty of seating... and even a nice, pleasant breeze in the middle of July in central Texas. I see myself coming back here for sure! IT was lovely! read more

I came here with some friends last night and we were so excited after seeing the reviews! The view on the rooftop was beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. However, the service was TERRIBLE! That's not to say the staff wasn't nice, Patrick Kelsey and the bartender were incredibly sweet! But, we got there at 715 and didn't get our drinks until 830. We also wanted to order food but all they had left, again at 730, was queso and chips. Even though they were supposed to stop serving food at 10. They brought us two small cartons of chips and a small thing of queso, really bizarre! If this place just had more staff (servers and bartenders) then this place would be perfect. read more

I don't know why I am so late posting this review (I think I thought I had done it already) but oh well. This review is to acknowledge that I celebrated my 70th birthday at the Urban Rooftop with a few select friends and it was very very nice. Of course, it was "Happy Hour" around 5:30 p.m. in August and it was almost too hot to be out. As the sun went down and the wind was cooler, the rest of the night was easy breezy. They had two young men doing the entertainment, they were good. The wait staff was attentive and very nice. My son and one of his army buddies came and surprised me, a couple of lady friends came and surprised me, a couple of co-workers and all in all, I couldn't have had a better "Happy Hour Birthday". Because I frequented the restaurant several times a week on my lunch hour, I was familiar with just how wonderful their food was. I say, if you are not afraid of heights, the Urban Rooftop is an excellent place to go whether meeting friends or making new ones. My name is Joi and I recommend the Urban Rooftop 100%. I forgot to mention that my celebration was in 2019 prior to the Pandemic outbreak. I am glad to see they have bounced back and my face will be in the place as often as possible before the season changes. Happy Friday everyone. read more

This place is really cool, but the service is terrible. If you don't get your drink right after you get off the elevator, goooood luck getting a drink or appetizers from a server outside. They very obviously don't have an organized system and they can't keep track of orders. They walk around screaming names because they don't keep track of who ordered what. Be prepared to be charged for top shelf when they give you bottom shelf, too. It's a hot mess. read more

They change the drink selection out weekly, the food is great, super friendly staff and an awesome view where you can just sit back and relax. They also normally have live music which is fun to listen to as well. It's by far one of my favorite places to go for a drink in the north Austin and Round Rock area. read more

Today I could hear someone yelling through a closed door. When they walked out I asked an employee who she was and they said her name was Andrea and that she was a GM. SO She is openly disrespecting her employees in front of guests and that is VERY unprofessional. Something else that is very unprofessional I've seen this lady taking shots on multiple occasions while on shift. read more

Wow! Walked in not knowing what to expect. I'm new into town and was looking for a fun bar to go to. Man did I hit the jackpot. Ryan, Gerry and pat are the funnest bartenders this side of the rio grande. I was warmly welcomed and had the best old fashioned I've had in years. I highly recommend the rooftop bar as your #1 spot if you have some free time while in round rock. Be sure sure to ask for Ryan or Gerry and they won't let let you down read more

A fun place for sunsets and to watch the bats come out. They have a very limited food and wine selection, but I go for drink or two, see the sunset and move on. Ask for the happy hour specials to save a few bucks. The service is generally good. It's a novelty to find a rooftop bar in Round Rock. Now they need to work a little on food and drink execution. read more

I went to the Rooftop with a large group of girlfriends. The drinks are the same amazing quality as in the restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly. We were seated outside in comfy-cool couches. Our server took drink orders without a pen and paper...and got them all perfect!! Amazing with such a large group. That night there was an appetizer bar that we helped ourselves to. The best part of the whole evening was the amazing view as the sun went down and night descended. A must if you're on a romantic date or want a chic place to have a night out with your group. read more

As a happy hour location it's great, prices are higher than the Urban restaurant downstairs across the parking lot....maybe it's due to having to pay workers more to carry drinks..bottles up to the rooftop bar? Been several times and enjoyed, food ap menu seems more limited than before but food is OK but $$. Strange to have a corn hole game there as that restricts the already limited space losing Urban $$ on customers plus when music is played hard to hear when thumps of bean bags are louder. Just makes no sense for game on busy Friday and Saturday nights. read more

Second time to visit this place.... 1st time weather was forecasting rain so they canceled the band and limited menu. 2nd weekend great band and ambiance.... but wait stuff seemed short staffed our waitress asked us if we needed refills and we said yes and waited and many minutes later again asked us if we needed refills and we said yes ..got our drinks many minuets later and when we paid our tab we were charged for drinks we never got. read more

Went there Saturday night with a group of people from out of town. Music was good and the waiter and waitress were good. Towards the end of the night a person from our group went to get some of the cucumber water that they have for everyone. They were out of paper cups so she asked the help staff in the kitchen if they could give her a plastic cup. One of the staff reached for one of the dirty cups that he had just picked up and handed to her. This was totally unacceptable! I'm sure the health department would have something to say about this. The waitress apologized and got a clean cup. Last time we go there. read more

Visited the Rooftop tonight for the first time. Loved the setting and the atmosphere. Despised the service. Seven tables with patrons and four servers working. You would think that you would not have to wait for anything. We had to ask twice for a food menu. We sat for long stretches with empty glasses. So long, that we finally just left. We prefer to keep it local as we live in Round Rock. I can assure you that this establishment will not be on our list. Total bummer. read more

We will be back! Amazing atmosphere. Great service from our server Derick. We had at least 20 in our party and we were all well taken care of! Hors d'oeuvres were incredibly awsome!!!. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. We ordered the hummus plate minus pita bread plus more cucumbers. Alan, our server was very accommodating to make that switch. We had herbal hot tea (chamomile and pomegranate berry). The cocktail menu is outstanding and would make any mixologist happy, with creative and delicious options that perfectly complemented the meal. Their liquor selection is impressive, offering a wide range of high-quality choices, and the wine list is equally wonderful, catering to all tastes and preferences. The food was absolutely delicious, the bruschetta we had was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. To top it off, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making sure our visit was perfect from start to finish.
