We didn't come there to eat, but having quality appetizers are a must for a place that wants to compete in the cutthroat restaurant/bar& lounge business. We ordered the Texas Caviar and it had zero flavor depth. It was as if they just chopped up a bunch of vegetables, tossed them together, and served them with chips. There was no salt, cilantro, lime, or avocado. Those 4 cheap ingredients would have changed this lazy app into a flavor packed drink compliment. Someone dropped the ball on a very simple dish. One star is FAR too many for this place. Zero Stars if I could. TL:DR DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The supposed "ambience" and view is NOT WORTH A PENNY of the crappy service they provide and the overcharging!! The Issues: I really wanted to like this place, even gave it two visits to get it right, and they couldn't even get close. The first visit was a date night with my girlfriend, where they proceeded to sit us in front of an open cold door, gave us dry unfriendly and unattentive service, and then mediocre food that came out to double what you'd pay anywhere else. This was in their restaurant, ground level. THEN, they far far undercooked an egg that was on my burger and I got FOOD POISONING from it!!! Let me tell you, not a fun next couple of days for me. So, the second visit we decide to try it again, maybe just drinks there on the rooftop would be better. So we brought our friends in from out of town, and went there as our first stop for the evening. For starters, the service was sad and dry again. The waiter serving drinks seemed like he didn't even want to be there and wasn't friendly AT ALL even though we tried to engage with him some. Secondly, the second he realized our friends were visiting from California, we saw a twinkle in his eye, wondered what that was, and realized when he came back with the bill... We ordered FOUR VODKA SODAS. FOUR. Which came to the tune of around $78!!!!! Like, what in the hell is that???? That's more than I've paid in the heart of San Francisco or New York!!!! Don't give me that B.S. here. This is NOT any of those places bub. It's Round Rock freaking Texas. Tip was auto added at like 25-30%, so I immediately dropped that down to 15%, and it was still over $60 for 4 drinks!!! Cherry on top - when I tried to pull a different bartender aside to get information on my bill, the waiter who charged us zipped on up to intercept and see what was going on, then told the other waiter he would handle it, then proceeded to lie to me about why the drinks were so expensive. Great chap there. BOTTOM LINE - DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. The rooftop view isn't worth it AT ALL. It views a dang FREEWAY for crying out loud. Not like a beach or wonderful valley, so get off your high horse Urban. And the service is absolutely terrible. Food there is basic AF and they charge the prices you'd see at a TOP END CLUB IN LAS VEGAS!!!! Only, its NOT Vagas, its crappy Urban Rooftop. Just a warning to anyone thinking about wasting money there... You'll waste a TON of it. 4 basic drinks, vodka sodas, $78. In Round Rock Texas.. Sound fun? Will NEVER go back or suggest this place to ANY of my friends. Too bad though, I work for a very large tech company in Austin that's only growing even more presence here this year, so we have dozens friends and colleagues flying out all the time from California and New York. This was our first visit this evening and really enjoyed the rooftop area. It was very clean walking into the lobby and into the elevator. Hand sanitizer is available as well as open seating so we felt very comfortable. The service was great! We had drinks, Urban margarita (on the rocks) and Lover's Lemonade along with an appetizer of Brussels. Everything was perfect! Good food, drinks and music! We were out celebrating a birthday for a sweet and dear Aunt. The view was amazing. We arrived early enough to see the sunset. The bartender did not hold back on the drinks. No complaints there! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the staff was spread thin and it took a while for everyone to receive their food. The staff did recognize it and apologized and threw in a few goodies. The live music was also great. We really enjoyed the musician interacting with the crowd when he wasn't playing. This review is for happy hour drinks on the fourth floor of the urban drink.eat rooftop. The drinks all are served in fancy plastic drink cups, which made me feel childish, but no worries, the drinks were great and fairly priced. I enjoyed the $5 house margarita with fresh lime and the salted rim. It was small, but worth it! They also have $4 pints of beers and glasses of wine from $7-$9. They offer some food specials that sounded great like a burrata salad plate and cheese sampler that I'd try sometime for light bites. The best part of the rooftop are the views of downtown Round Rock! It seems cheesy, but at night, the lights were beautiful at Christmastime. We sat on the east side of the rooftop because the west side was just I-35 and nothing to see. They did have cushy coaches and chairs on the west side though, which was better than the tall bar stools with backs we were in. That side was also near the stage, but we weren't really interested in the music. read more

How is this getting 4-5 stars? The view is "ok" but that's about it. Saying the menu is limited is a stretch. Ordered a Tanqueray and tonic - they don't have Tanqueray. Ordered Tom Collins because the bar gin they had was just that. The drink came in a rocks glass. sigh Ordered the meat and cheese tray for $16+. Three tiny and I mean tiny .5"x.5"x.5" cubes each of three cheeses. Three crackers, one tiny slice of brie, three grapes, three teeny tiny quarter sized slices of salami. Server was certain that was enough for a table of 4. Nothing special about the place, the building. They're banking on being on the roof and that only goes so far. A chill rooftop bar in the middle of downtown Round Rock. Well, that's a fun novelty, I'll try it out.... The drinks were a little expensive for the quality, and I am a bit perplexed that the view is focused toward the highway and not the cuter downtown direction. Me and my coworkers tried to have a night of drinks at urban rooftop. Mind you we had a few prior but we weren't rude or bothering anyone . We walked from downtown near mays so when we came in it was about 5 of us 3 guys , 2 females , African American, latinx , and white . We went straight to restroom didn't order drinks yet and when we came out the host or whoever said we were too intoxicated to order anything . My immediate response was what the eff . I don't want to think it was racist or anything but I do believe it was tone deaf like we went to restroom that's it . I think they just got some corny people running the place . So, I'm the other person in the review by C M. I drove quite a distance to meet my friends for a MUCH needed girlfriends outing. I arrived early and was mesmerized by the beautiful views and was truly excited about the view, drinks, and friends. I arrived right at 5:00 when the doors opened, along with a group of 5 or so people. I sat purposely by the entrance so that my friends could see me when they arrived. I waited and waited and saw the other guests had been waited and and now served drinks. I kept waiting. Finally, I walked inside to the bar to ask about the menu, thinking this would trigger to them that I was there and was needing service. I was then informed that there was a limited menu. I told them okay and that they could send someone out to wait on me. By this time my friend (CM, check out the other review) arrived and I told her about my experience and we waited a few more minutes to discover that the other table was being served their SECOND ROUND of drinks. So, at this point, we both went inside to find out what was going on. We asked about the food menu, of which they told us about different items on the menu than what I was originally told when I inquired. We were promptly told that if we wanted to eat we could go downstairs. I said, "oh, so we can bring the food back upstairs", they looked at each other as if they were confirming their answer with each other and then one of them said no. So we leave, call our friends and tell them not to meet us at The Rooftop since it was pretty clear that we were not wanted at this location. When we go back down the elevator to exit, we run across one of the other employees who had originally told us we could "go over there" and he says, "you leaving?" We replied yes and he said, "Okay" and walked back inside the building. Well let's just say that while I'd like to say it is a very beautiful place, depending on your group, you may or may not be served. We didn't let the experience ruin our evening and went to the main restaurant, Urban Eat & Drink, where we spent well over $300 and had a blast. As for The Rooftop, I will never spend my money where I'm not wanted, but I will make sure that people are aware of my experience. read more

Not worth the price. Poor service & long wait time. At $18 a drink and an unwelcoming waiter, I was embarrassed to have suggested this as a spot for my friends and I. We were welcomed when we walked in and told a waiter would come to take our order, so we found a table. Our waiter, Kyle, came by and seemed a bit overwhelmed from what looked like a small staff. We were a group of 5 and made sure to be as organized and convenient as possible to avoid making his work harder for him. What shocked us, was that not only did he continually leave without taking the whole tables order, but also spilled drinks on us and the floor when bringing them. This is an understandable thing to happen, but we were offered nothing to clean ourselves up with, no apology and my friends drink was half empty from being spilled, but no replacement or compensation offered. My friend paid full price for half a drink. When we were ready to close out our tab, the waiter left after closing one persons and when we got him to come back he threw the tablet in our faces and nearly hit me in the face because he wasn't even looking at us when handing it to us. Seeing that he expected a 25% tip from us, I expected at least some basic decency. The drinks were good, but you can get one just as good at other bars in the area at a much lower cost. The saving grace of the night was the live music, but you can find that at other bars in the area as well. For the most part, masks were worn by everyone when walking around (i.e. to the bathroom, to leave, etc.). Our waiter had his mask under his nose the whole time, which at that point he might as well not be wearing it. I was excited to go here after all the hype I heard, but I think this will be my first and last visit. Seeing other reviews, this seems to be a common issue, which is disappointing since they're only open for part for part of the year. read more

My first trip here worst experience ever. Asked for a list of rums she gives me gins. Asked for a bag to take our leftovers home in she says that don't have any. I work in service industry in 4 and 5 star hotels. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service and initiative shown by this wait person. Certainly will not be poaching her...
