URBAN SEAFOOD DOES A BODY GOOD! I had been craving some delicious oysters and a frozen, cold ice cream cocktail. Urban Seafood always lives up to my expectations for these items. It's been awhile since my last visit and I was overdue. So of course I headed to one my favorite places to EAT oysters. This visit the food and drinks were great! FROZEN VELVET HAMMER 5 STARS This cocktail of chocolate liquor, orange, curaco and brandy blended perfectly and smoothly. It's so good and just the perfect combination of flavors. WOOD GRILLED OYSTERS 5 STARS Bread crumbs and lemon, with a perfectly grilled fresh oyster bursting with flavor. AMBIANCE 4.5 STARS It's a costal feel that's comfy and cozy. I enjoyed watching the fish swim in the fish tank. SERVICE 3.5 STARS The waitress today was pleasant. I can say other servers have been better on past visits. OVERALL I left HAPPY and satisfied!

Whoa this place is killer. Had a cup of Shrimp & Crab gumbo. It was tasty, not not a lot of crab and just a few shrimp. But still tasty. Then I had two starters as my meal. I had the Crispy Creel which is Fried clams and calamari. Nicely fried to a light crispy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. Loved the tomato sauce as well as the tartar sauce to dip into. Then my favorite was the Charred Spanish Octopus. Oh my goodness, this was so tasty. You could taste the nice woodsy smoke flavor on the outside and then the soft tender inside was so yummy. What a treat to eat tonight!!!

Ordered to go. Walked in 10 min after ordering and my food was ready for pick up! I do look forward to dining in because it looked so modern and clean inside! While the shrimp scampi was not as flavorful or as seasoned as I'd like or prefer, it had great bones for a wonderful meal. I just prefer my food with some substance to it flavor and seasoning wise. I did appreciate the lemon! And the smoked tuna dip had an awesome flavor! And loved the spicy dip.

Yum!! We only went in for a drink and some appetizers but planning our come back for dinner soon!! Beautiful ambience, awesome appetizers and helpful staff. We sat at the bar for this short visit. The shrimp cocktail is a definite must when you come here! It's so delicious. I can't wait to try some other items from their menu when I we get back.

Wow! I might have found the best shrimp cocktail in this side of town!! Five grilled, humongous shrimp arranged dangling on a martini type glass which if half filled with a great tasting cocktail sauce is really to die for. The texture and flavor of that grilled shrimp dipped in the sauce just screams fresh seafood. Receiving prompt service at the bar is also important to note here. The place is beautiful with a side where you can order fresh seafood by the pound, a dining area, and a bar. This is definitely a place that we should be returning for more shrimp cocktails.

I came here with my husband for happy hour (current hours are Mon-Fri 2:30-5:30pm) for their $2 oysters! We also got the smoked tuna dip and baked goat cheese also on the happy hour menu for $8 each. They also have drinks available on the HH menu. It was all so delicious but the oysters are what stole the show. We even order an extra 6 on top of the initial dozen. Sit at the bar to get a front row seat of the oyster shucking! Very cool and modern restaurant with great service and ambiance. It's our new go-to spot for HH oysters!

Oysters & Martini HH the best in Plano Dallas area. Brigette is a great mixologist and the oysters are east coast delicious. Amazing service and attention to customer service.

(Jan 2025) Very classy ambiance & atmosphere. I will start off by saying, I made reservations a week ahead. I was meeting 2 other friends at the restaurant. I walked to the restaurant (due to living in downtown Plano). I received a phone call a few mins past scheduled for the reservation, I don't answer unknown callers. When we got to the restaurant, the hosts (3 of them) looked surprised as they had tried to call me. I told them we were still within our time limit & there was no txt or voicemails. I understand the situation & if possible our table being given away, however they all looked at each other & gave no direction of what they were going to do, then seemed to have slight attitudes. Most frustrating part of the evening. Once we did get sat, we had an amazing server, he was wonderful, funny, & knowledgeable. The food was very good... MUST TRY OYSTERS! I wasn't too sure about them, nor did I get a pic because we tore them up, they were so good! Update: Jan 2026 All food was delicious... but one of the specials, can't remember the name, but had scallops, white wine sauce I believe? It was either too oily/or something, I couldn't really taste the flavor of the dish itself. Oysters were phenomenal, clam chowder delicious, & baked Alaska (dessert) was decent (my friend liked it more than I did)

Visited urban seafood company during restaurant week and honestly it was disappointing. To begin with, the service was very slow. After being seated, we waited almost 15 minutes before a server showed up. We also had to ask for the restaurant week menu. I started with the strawberry barrata. However, it was missing the strawberries. It took me a while to realize what was missing. Next, was the Parmesan crusted flounder with a lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese was pretty good! The flounder was on the dry side, though the flavoring was good. Finally, I had the pistachio cake and it was a little on the dry side. The frosting was nice. I'm not sure if this was a fluke day going on with the staff since it was rates highly. I just was not impressed.

Got to come back and enjoy their oyster happy hour with their $6 martinis. The oysters are undeniably so fresh and so good!!!

How do you like their take on "Whole Main Lobster, and snow crab cluster". No kidding.

Unbelievably horrible place. Do not spend your time, or your money here. Came in, great mood, great waitress. Colossal seafood tower, $129. Menu states "whole main lobster", and snow crab legs. Comes out, lobster tail, 2 1/2 crab legs, tiny, overcooked, legs. I've got a picture. You would crack up. Except you would be so hungry, and broke, you wouldn't laugh. Waitress was apologetic, mid manager, after the banter started getting a bit more heated, said she would get another crab cluster. She did, and it was a little teeny cluster with legs barely bigger than a pencil, BUT IT DID HAVE 5 LEGS AND A CLAW! Lobster had no way of opening the tail. No Scissors, or knife. Ripped apart with hands. Manager begrudgingly came over, Abraham Macias, no apologies, started trying to get us to order desert, didn't even acknowledge the joke of a seafood tower. Not even an apology. I then confronted him. I was beyond upset. He was a true arrogant, unapologetic, person. I tipped as I normally would. We eat out a lot, I really like people, and food. I don't leave reviews, positive, or negative. THIS WAS THE WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE IN TEN YEARS. OTHER THAN OUR WAITRESS, IT WAS THE MOST FRUSTRATING AND CRAPPY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE EVER. This manager must own the place, so he can go down with the ship. If he worked for the company I'm pretty sure he would've been fired years ago. Please, spend your hard earned money anywhere but here. This place is a disaster acting as fine dining. I wish I could post a pic. You could decide if just a simple apology from this arrogant guy was the minimum. Just an acknowledgement that they messed up a bit. Terrible experience. Many other quality seafood choices.

I am not a big fish person and hubby loves something fried so a healthy fishy meal isn't our first go to, but we went outside our normal tonight. And we left so satisfied. For apps, the mac and cheese bites with crab. This should feel heavy but it doesn't. Moist and full of flavor. We did the crab fingers (special on the black board... pay attention to the specials they are fire). Tons of crab for the price and the chowder type sauce was so good. I just wish I had more bread to soak it up. Dinner was the tuna with mango sauce. I got mine rare and it was perfectly cooked. The filet was well seasoned and the sauce complimented it well. Large portion of tuna. He got the special (do not sleep on the black board) flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Absolutely amazing. I have never ever ordered flounder before but I guarantee ill order it if we return and its a special. Service was fast snd everyone was attentive. Cant wait until we go back.

We all received samples of the soup and the poblano soup was a table favorite! Our food was delicious as well as our waitress. We loved the evening Happy Hour on a Saturday evening. Only complaint was it was entirely too humid in the restaurant, so much so that we were miserable in that sense. Everyone constantly had to wipe the water glasses off before taking a drink. So we ate quickly so we could leave and didn't get to socialize a lot.

Rolando was our server he was attentive & gave us good service. We ordered cioppino & rainbow trout grilled with mashed potatoes & corn as our sides. Trout was finely prepared nicely grilled & seasoned. Loved the corn with chipotle seasoning it went very well with the fish & potatoes were good. But Cioppino was not how it's usually prepared the broth seemed very light , seasoning was not up to the mark & the mussels were ok ... had better mussels in other places... it's a seafood place so we were expecting nice juicy mussels but the meat in clams & mussels were extremely small.... That was a let down... we did take the leftover broth to have it later but it didn't tasted good ( turned very sour) so threw it away... Maybe it was one of the off day but we felt disappointed... will try something else if we visit again.

Pivot back to this location that seems much smaller and more crowded. There is also hardly any parking. Our favorite entree is sharing a catfish and fried shrimp combo. Instead of French fries, we order a salad for an additional charge. I also like to upgrade the fried shrimp to coconut shrimp. There is so much food to share for two, that sometimes we even have some leftover for another small meal. The waiting line to order often winds towards and sometimes out the door and is right next to people dining at the tables and chairs. Additionally, if you place a to-go order there is really nowhere to wait. We took our food home and it's so easy to warm it up in the air fry oven while munching on the salad. I really love the coconut shrimp over the regular fried shrimp, it's worth a small upcharge. The taste of the food outweighs the negatives such as parking and cramped dining areas.
