I was in town for business and met up with an old friend for dinner here, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was wonderful and perfect for a catch up with my friend: warm, inviting, and perfect service! The burrata salad was outstanding, and the pasta was equally impressive. We also shared the bread pudding for dessert, which was incredible and the perfect ending to the evening. The lobster dishes and wine selection were excellent as well. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional service: attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. To top it all off, our entire dinner came to under $100, which felt like tremendous value for the quality of the food and experience. I only wish we had a location in Los Angeles. First off let me say that our server Jennifer was excellent. (Not sure I spelled her name right). She was one of the best we have ever had anywhere. Food was hit and miss. I had the Salmon and liked it. Another person had the burger and it was overcooked from how he requested it. Now the Bad... Crab legs are not made with fresh crabmeat. Fresh is white and flaky, these were brown and mushy. Two people ordered the crab legs and they were unable to eat them. They were overcooked and, not sure how, but some of them had burn marks on them. How do you burn something that is boiled? Also it was impossible to crack them open. The shells were soft and just folded over and you couldn't get them open. You could twist the leg back and forth and it wouldn't break open. I think perhaps they were left sitting in the water after they were cooked. Those were sent back and those two people didn't get to eat. The sad part of that is that after they were returned a manager came out and actually argued with them about the overcooking of the legs. He said that was impossible and that nobody else had complained. Wow, instead of just apologizing and saying it would be removed from the bill. Haven't seen chips this full of flavor before The prickly pear refresher was amazing - just mint, lemon, soda and prickly pear puree? This is one I'm going to make at home The same chips are used for the tuna dip but I'd like to note their pickled jalapeno - that was fire. So much flavor here Shrimp salad was great too, I enjoyed how balanced the dish was The baked alaska was a mix of chocolate and strawberry on the inside - everything was done from scratch. One recommendation is to add a layer between the ice cream and marshmallow is possible The black wagyu gold something tomahawk was divine - maybe better than any bbq I've been to. Wanted to try a new seafood spot. Looked urban seafood up and saw they had good reviews so just showed up with my family on a Saturday without a reservation. We got seated within minutes. It was a decent amount of people there but not over packed. Plenty of tables and booths with low lighting. Our waiter brung flavored cracker chips with a butter that was really good. The menu had lots to choose from with a specials menu also. I got the crab cake for an appetizer that was really good and not too much. For dinner I had the lobster roll with fries. Lots of lobster on a warm flakey roll. My four year old enjoyed his Mac and cheese with fries as well. read more

Whoa this place is killer. Had a cup of Shrimp & Crab gumbo. It was tasty, not not a lot of crab and just a few shrimp. But still tasty. Then I had two starters as my meal. I had the Crispy Creel which is Fried clams and calamari. Nicely fried to a light crispy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. Loved the tomato sauce as well as the tartar sauce to dip into. Then my favorite was the Charred Spanish Octopus. Oh my goodness, this was so tasty. I walked to the restaurant (due to living in downtown Plano). I received a phone call a few mins past scheduled for the reservation, I don't answer unknown callers. When we got to the restaurant, the hosts (3 of them) looked surprised as they had tried to call me. I told them we were still within our time limit & there was no txt or voicemails. I understand the situation & if possible our table being given away, however they all looked at each other & gave no direction of what they were going to do, then seemed to have slight attitudes. Most frustrating part of the evening. Once we did get sat, we had an amazing server, he was wonderful, funny, & knowledgeable. The food was very good... MUST TRY OYSTERS! Wow! I might have found the best shrimp cocktail in this side of town!! Five grilled, humongous shrimp arranged dangling on a martini type glass which if half filled with a great tasting cocktail sauce is really to die for. The texture and flavor of that grilled shrimp dipped in the sauce just screams fresh seafood. Receiving prompt service at the bar is also important to note here. The place is beautiful with a side where you can order fresh seafood by the pound, a dining area, and a bar. I came here with my husband for happy hour (current hours are Mon-Fri 2:30-5:30pm) for their $2 oysters! We also got the smoked tuna dip and baked goat cheese also on the happy hour menu for $8 each. They also have drinks available on the HH menu. It was all so delicious but the oysters are what stole the show. We even order an extra 6 on top of the initial dozen. After being seated, we waited almost 15 minutes before a server showed up. We also had to ask for the restaurant week menu. I started with the strawberry barrata. However, it was missing the strawberries. It took me a while to realize what was missing. Next, was the Parmesan crusted flounder with a lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese was pretty good! The flounder was on the dry side, though the flavoring was good. Finally, I had the pistachio cake and it was a little on the dry side. We wanted to try this seafood restaurant out for there fish and chips, so we ordered it along with a lobster roll. We started with an tuna dip and the wood grilled oysters, which were the star of the appetizers, they were amazing! I highly recommend them. The fish and chips were kinds of let down. We have been wanting to eat here for a while and glad we did. Love the ambiance of this place. It felt like being inside a modern yacht club of sorts (I imagine). Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating, and felt very comfortable with us lol (maybe a little too comfortable). We started with the fried calamari which was actually really nice. The calamari was tender and lightly breaded. It ate really well. It also had some fried banana pepper rings with it which were great. Honestly, they should just make an appetizer of these fried banana pepper rings. We also got the Prince Edward Island oysters. They were cold, fresh, and briney. The minuet on the side packed an acidic punch which helped the oysters really shine. Our friend got the crab stuffed shrimp which was really delicious. Totally recommend. My only note on this dish was the stuffing was kinda mushy. I got the parm crusted trout (special) and my wife got the pistachio crusted sea bass. They were both almost so good. Both fish entrees were just too salty for the two of us, which was a shame (and I am not even that salt adverse). With fish so fresh, which you could taste, the salt just took away from the delicate taste and texture of the trout and sea bass. The brussel sprouts were kind of mid unfortunately as well. Really enjoyed their fries though. We will be back and try other options. Definitely recommend! read more

Lunch here a few days again. It's now 5 stars for me. Gumbo was perfect in all ways this time. Nice amount of shrimp and crab. Perfect size (bowl) for lunch. We started with smoked tuna dip-amazing! Reminded me of smoked trout dip you get up north. Perhaps even better with excellent house made rosemary crackers. Service a tad slow (if you're in a hurry at lunch but we weren't) and yet she kept an eye on us. And still one of the best dining rooms in the area. Celebrated my mother's birthday. Seated out on the Inside Patio. Cutely decorated. Fast and friendly service. Started with the Charred Spanish Octopus with the chickpea puree, tomatoes, chili oil. So, tender you could cut it with a fork. The check pea puree was nice and creamy and paired well with the octopus. Baked Goat Cheese with roasted garlic, tomato and crostini. Nice and creamy with just the right amount of garlic. Nice and crusty crostini used to dip or spread the cheese on was so good. Urban Salad and we added grill north Atlantic salmon to it. Cam with romaine, iceberg lettuce, Brussels, radish, almonds, crispy chickpeas, pepperoncini, strawberries, grate tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers and a honey mustard vinaigrette. Very fresh salad, the honey mustard vinaigrette really brought all the flavors together. I'm a sucker for good fish and chips and let me tell you, this was FABULOUS!!! Just the right amount of breading and a little crispy. Nice flakey fish inside. Perfectly cooked sea salt fries. Sorry can't tell you much about the house slaw as I do not like slaw, but it looked like it could be good! LOL Ordered a few oysters from the shell bar. Very fresh and adding the lemon, hot sauce made them taste even better. Had to finish off the night with a Baked Alaska, and I have to say, this was very very good!!! We tried Urban Seafood Company for the first time on Saturday. The restaurant is lovely with a classy ambiance. The service was fantastic, and our server was very attentive. We came right around 11:30 and were able to be seated with no wait. We started with the seafood Bloody Mary (shrimp, bacon, oyster and veggies) and the mussels. The mussels were absolutely delicious and the sauce was amazing. It was large enough for two people to split. We went on to enjoy the raw beauties oysters. These are east coast oysters and petit, which is what we were looking for. My husband had the lobster grilled cheese and sea salt fries. While I didn't try the sandwich, the fries were amazing! Unbelievably horrible place. Do not spend your time, or your money here. Came in, great mood, great waitress. Colossal seafood tower, $129. Menu states "whole main lobster", and snow crab legs. Comes out, lobster tail, 2 1/2 crab legs, tiny, overcooked, legs. I've got a picture. You would crack up. Except you would be so hungry, and broke, you wouldn't laugh. Waitress was apologetic, mid manager, after the banter started getting a bit more heated, said she would get another crab cluster. She did, and it was a little teeny cluster with legs barely bigger than a pencil, BUT IT DID HAVE 5 LEGS AND A CLAW! Lobster had no way of opening the tail. No Scissors, or knife. Ripped apart with hands. Manager begrudgingly came over, Abraham Macias, no apologies, started trying to get us to order desert, didn't even acknowledge the joke of a seafood tower. Not even an apology. I then confronted him. I was beyond upset. He was a true arrogant, unapologetic, person. I tipped as I normally would. We eat out a lot, I really like people, and food. I don't leave reviews, positive, or negative. THIS WAS THE WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE IN TEN YEARS. OTHER THAN OUR WAITRESS, IT WAS THE MOST FRUSTRATING AND CRAPPY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE EVER. This manager must own the place, so he can go down with the ship. If he worked for the company I'm pretty sure he would've been fired years ago. Please, spend your hard earned money anywhere but here. This place is a disaster acting as fine dining. I wish I could post a pic. You could decide if just a simple apology from this arrogant guy was the minimum. Just an acknowledgement that they messed up a bit. Terrible experience. The crab cake fell short as it had too much filling and not enough crab meat. I could not get over how charred the octopus was so I couldn't enjoy it though it was grilled well texture wise. Out of the three fish dishes, the Fish and Chips was the best (that's sad). The Mac and Cheese was the worst part of the meal as it was watery. This place has wonderful staff and ambiance so that definitely bumps it up a star, but I'm pretty disappointed by the food here. I'll preface this by saying I'm not the type who's big into enjoying the natural flavors of fish. I wanted seasoning and the things I had were CRIMINALLY under salted. I was especially disappointed with the oysters which may have been the most bland I've had is quite some time... the lobster roll was pretty decent after a bit of salt but don't even waste your time with the market vegetables. They tasted like there were steamed in water and tossed onto my plate.
