Came to check out this place as we first got into Houston. We landed, got our rental car and pulled up on this place. We came during the day so we didn't get to experience the evening crowd and network with the socialites. There is artwork all throughout the place that was pretty dope and it makes it feel a lot more comfortable and welcoming to those with culture. They don't serve food but they allow you to order and bring it in if you'd like. I think the humidor and cigar selection could be a a lot better. There's room for improvement there but the Houston Cigar is pretty top notch I hear. read more

If you're looking to be seen and profile, maybe not the spot. But if your looking to enjoy a stick and be low key chill. This cigar lounge is a good choice. This was the first place I wanted to visit when I finally had a chance to get back to Houston. It was early in the day so it's wasn't crowded but that actually gave me the opportunity to explore even more. Moses , shop owner, greeted me at the door and was very welcoming! Took me to the humidor, which had a very good selection. The seating areas in this lounge are very comfortable and big enough to have multiple guest in one area. Yesterday was my first time visit. One of my friends frequents this place and we met there. It has 2 rooms: main room when you walk in has sofas against both walls and 4 TVs mounted around the room and a bar at the back of the room. The second room is smaller and has two sofas and one TV. Behind that room is their humidor, I bought a cigar while I was there but it was high priced. I guess since it's a Neighborhood spot it helps with the overhead I guess. You can bring your own but they ask that you buy at least one from them. They have a halfway with some really nice pics if I remember correctly they were in black and white. All things given a really chill spot to have a smoke. read more

Finding this lounge is a bit tricky because there are a lot of businesses crammed in a mini strip mall, which means NO PARKING . If you're lucky enough to find parking, the spaces are thisclose. After finding parking, now you have to find the lounge sign amongst ALL of the mini buildings crammed in a row. Frustrating. Walked in: zero ambiance. Felt like an old school bar beyond its prime. Was greeted by a slim guy who walked us to the humidor. I'm looking around and all I'm seeing are mainly empty boxes (no bueno) I'm a seasoned smoker who carries my own sticks but it's customary to always patronize the lounge, but can I get a decent selection to choose from? Disappointment. Even my company, who is not an experienced smoker, commented on the lackluster options. Then we purchased some sodas. Guess what? No straws, napkins or cups. Eye roll. Music was way too loud. Horrible lighting. Vibe was nonexistent. They have a Hollywood style hallway where everyone takes pictures but I was so turned off overall that I skipped that part. read more

Laid back, chill, black owned cigar lounge. I stopped by to visit some friends and the place had a good crowd inside. Every had a seat in the main room and around the end of my stay I noticed that there was another room in the back area. This was me & a friend's first visit. As we sat with our friend, no one ever asked us if we needed anything. So I'm guessing you would just go to the register to get what you wanted. Again we were just briefly visiting & so it didn't matter as much. The young lady next to me said it was her first time trying a cigar and she had one that had the hazelnut flavor to it. Which sounded intriguing to me. So if I go back I'll definitely try that out. Everyone seemed to be relaxed and chilling as if they were at home. A woman likes a good cigar every now and then. This place was recommended to me by a neighboring business owner. When I heard that it was black-owned, I had to check it out. The staff was extremely helpful. They did not have some of my favorite brands but the staff was there to make recommendations based on what I'm used to. It was a bit pricey in comparison to other cigar shops but I was willing to pay a little extra to spend money in the community. I opted for one of their signature hazelnut flavored cigars. My fiancée and I ended our wonderful trip to Houston w/ a visit to Sweet Lips. After not having a cigar for roughly 3months, I was thoroughly looking forward to visiting this lounge, trying their cigars, and relaxing. Well, they didn't disappoint AT ALL! The 'Hazelnut Sweet Lips' stick was amazing! Throughout my smoke, I tasted the sweet hazelnut flavor and it meshed well w/ my Makers Mark and Coke drink. Now, down to the service; it was awesome! I hate that I didn't get the sistas name that helped us, but she was so nice! I'm sure she could tell we were a little lost when we entered, but she picked up on it immediately, and provided outstanding service. They were also showing the Terence Crawford/ Shawn Porter fight which was a major plus for me because I'm a HUGE boxing. All in all, the night couldn't have gone better - I LOVE supporting my people and personally take pride in establishments that strive to change the status quo. Keep it up! read more

I am new in town, I happen to pass by Sweet Lips Cigars, I went inside and it is a husband and wife team. They were both so very friendly, very inviting. I purchased a couple of cigars and sit inside and enjoy the relaxing vibe. The people inside were very pleasant friendly and they have nice size TVs and awesome music. I'm not find myself going at least once a week. When my friends come to town this is where I take them. Everything is set at a great price and again the owners are absolutely awesome with customer service. I will see them again sometime this week.
