Great place to get in extra touches and really refine one's soccer game. Nice field, decent refs, free parking available. - Team Summer Fun

I'm told a coach goes to his school around 9am for their sessions so I have never met anyone from SS, never seen a photo of him in the program. Parents are not allowed to be in class with the kids in the middle of the day so I've asked the teachers how he is doing in the program and they have no idea. I ask my son about soccer, but he's 3 so information is limited/non-existent by the time he gets home. For $230 a season I'd like to have more assurance that he is engaging in activities whether it's a photo or an in-person face. We won't be signing up again in the fall!

My son entered with a big interest in soccer and finished the first session a bit underwhelmed. So entering into the second session took a bit of a push. The coaches were right there to engage and encourage him. Throughout the session, his interest in soccer grew and grew. He is so sad to have to take a break between sessions. Looking forward to another awesome session!

My son absolutely loved the IGotSkills camp and coaches. This was his first camp experience and I…read morewas pleased with how engaging the coaches all were and how it was set up. The coaches really kept the kids moving which is something my very active keiki needs. Likewise, the keiki always had the option to take a break in the shade, as needed, but most of them wanted to continue playing even during lunchtime. Ah, the exuberance of youth! Each day of camp, there were two coaches plus a third adult who was stationed at the shady rest area that helped with the check in/check out and was there to watch over any keiki taking a break. My just turned 6-year-old attended the Winter Camp 2022 at Central Park (aka Patsy Park) with coach Beau. He found coach Beau very amusing and excitedly shared with me some of the jokes and games after camp each day. It seemed like the perfect balance between learning skills, playing scrimmage and just good silly fun. I did see my son build confidence and have better control over the ball by the end of the week. Most parents drop off but you can come and go as you please with the kids playing in the open field and the coaches utilizing the shade during the hotter parts of the day. You will need cleats, a ball, lunch/snacks and plenty of water. Most parents dropped off their kids with that huge 'chugger' water bottle. I highly recommend this camp and hope to send my son again in the future. Aloha

This field used to be a safe area for teams to play sports and children to play on the playground…read morearea. Recently, a number of homeless encampments have decided to take over the area. Police would come by and clear the area out but within a few days, the same encampments would return. It's unfortunate that I've observed questionable activity here. I now avoid the area unless it appears it's been recently cleared out. A number of people come with their dogs to walk around the area. I guess if it's daylight ( not to early and not after sunset) it's not too bad. Just be careful of your circumstances. Keep attentive of your surroundings here. I miss when this field was full of children and sports groups.

The word of the day, kids, is SKETCHY. This field probably used to be awesome! However, it has…read morebeen degraded now into a druggy infested location with some serious sketchiness going on. There are restrooms. However, if you are female, you do NOT want to use these restrooms. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT ENTER THEM ALONE, EVEN DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. I am 100% serious here. The face that there are no doors on the stalls or toilet paper isn't the worst part: It is like a cave, and you need backup in case there is a strange or dangerous person lurking about inside. There is a field. The field is super run-down, with many fun places to sprain your ankle, if you so choose. There are holes in the dirt that make pitching a kickball almost impossible, and you will likely trip in either a hole in the dirt or a clump of sad sad grass. There are basketball courts, which looked pretty full of people, as well as a kids' playground, which had the good rubber ground. Those are positives. The actual field is cool because it exists, and they let us play kickball there, but other than that... If you don't have a good reason to go to this location, I wouldn't, honestly. I drive a beater, so I wasn't stressed about parking in the area (street parking), but I felt bad for my friends with nice cars. I would NEVER go here without a group, especially after dark. I am pretty sure I saw some drug deals happening right outside of the park (no, I saw nothing, druglords!) I may be back if they have our kickball games scheduled here, but I won't enter the restrooms, or have anything valuable with me. Enjoy!
