This smallish restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! We stopped in for a few pre dinner drinks and our bartender was amazing! She allowed to sample several different drinks over the course of our visit. She was extremely attentive and chatty, which is something we love! We didn't have dinner but we did order an appetizer that was not up to par. Concerning when a restaurant is this expensive. Second visit here all the from SoCal, first time trying brunch. We don't mess around when it comes to brunch and this place delivered. The Bloody Marys are to die for bold, perfectly spiced, and hands-down the best part of the meal. For sharables we ordered the pancake appetizer and the poutine appetizer. Both were insanely delicious , sweet meets savory, and we regret nothing. Oh, and do yourself a favor and order Daddy's Credit Card. It's smooth, sweet, and dangerously good. I was in Somerset for work today. Stopped in for lunch and sat at the bar. I ordered the Gulf Shrimp with grits and an Old Fashioned. The food and cocktail was very good. Amelia did a fantastic job and was very friendly and talkative. This is a very nice place and I hope to come back. Visiting dear friends in Somerset KY who took us for dinner here; what a delicious surprise and dining experience! The French 75 was perfectly mixed and fresh bread as a start was buttery with the perfect crunch on the crust and soft inside. The salads were amazing with perfectly pickled beets flanked by a creamy fried goat cheese ball. The filet and pork chop were so incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. Fantastic wine list! Most impressive--the service! Highly attentive and timing on spot! But when Chef Jake Starnes personally visited EVERY table at n the restaurant I was incredibly impressed by how humble and personable he was--the filet mignon would give Jeff Ruby's and Tony's a run for the money hands down! The place was beautiful. Very swank for downtown Somerset. We went for brunch. Their menu was not the same as their website, so don't go based on the "special" dish you saw online. The service was absolutely terrible. They weren't busy and it took them at least 15 minutes to greet our table. Our server kept gabbing with the bartender and kept forgetting items and to check on us. Onto the food... the urban Benedict has a great flavor- loved the twist with a special type of charcuterie style ham The portion was small for $17. The chicken and waffles was just okay. I liked the flavored butter and honey. The waffles reminded me of Eggo from the freezer. I wouldn't order again. Last, the Bloody Mary was decent price and had a nice spice. Thumbs up. read more

This place is a hidden gem nestled in a rapidly growing downtown area. From the moment I walked in, I had a feeling it would be a memorable experience. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between classy and casual, making it feel both special and comfortable. The service was outstanding. We were fortunate to have Nick as our server--he knew the menu inside and out and offered fantastic recommendations throughout our meal. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that many of the ingredients are sourced from local communities, which added an extra layer of appreciation to each dish. From appetizers to dessert, every bite was full of flavor. The highlight of the evening was when Chef Jake personally brought out our main course. My wife and I shared the steak and fries, and it did not disappoint. We've been several times before last evening and it's always been superb, not so much last night. While the majority of the food was cooked correct it was highly seasoned and lume warm at best when we finally received our orders. Our server, Carter needs serious training. He took our dinner orders and after 20 minutes came out to tell us the stuffed flounder wasn't available, they couldn't serve what they had, it was "too old". He spilled water on my husband and the floor while refilling glasses and then spilled the wine he poured for my husband. I waited over 1/2 hour for a water refill. My brother in law had to send back his order because when he cut into it, the meat was gelatinous with fat, not at all eatable, and he settled for bread and butter for dinner as we were already 2 hours at the restaurant. The manager did come over and apologize, she removed the meal from our bulk and provided free dessert. We were not the only customers not happily with Cater and the chef, we saw others return food and complain about the service. This is sad and disappointing as we've had great experience dining previously but noticed a stark decline this visit. Chef Jake was missed. And a a side note: Cater seriously needed training. He walks without picking up his feet, the noise was irritating as we watched him walk by without refilling glasses and bringing our food. He actually laughed as he spilled our drinks! Very small dining area all out in the open, seats are very close to each other so you are pretty close to other parties. But I think that's part of their style. The menu is very small, not a lot of options. Our appetizer was great, the drinks were okay. I ordered an espresso martini and I would probably not order it again honestly. Great selection of bourbons, obviously. Our waiter was very nice. Our steaks were overdone, but the chef made sure to re do them with no charge. This place just opened a few days ago. We went there for Sunday Brunch and we were not disappointed. Our server was Tara and one of the most amazing and attentive waitress we have ever had locally. I ordered the Stillhouse Burger with a side salad, and my wife got the Stillhouse Eggs Benedict. The burger is served with a Brioche bun, bacon, whiskey cheddar, and caramelized onion. I did not opt for the sunny side up egg. It was served also with hand cut seasoned fries. The Stillhouse Eggs Bendict is on a thin bisoicuit , fried green tomato, and prochette, it is served with a chive hollandise sauce with home friend potatos. The large stone fireplace is a center attraction of the dinning area.The food and the service were a true dinning delight. We will return. read more

Excited for this to finally be open. This first visit was for a meet and greet but I was able to get a sneak peak. The drinks and charcuterie were great. I can't wait to try the menu. I'm glad local prices have. Even posted . What the public had been lead to believe by the only info out there was the prices were Florida prices. The Florida page is not what is here. So I think that is putting a lot of people off. Having said that and having seen the menu although pretty normal for an upscale restaurant prices are very reasonable for what you are getting, great food. From the size of the restaurant, I would make sure you make reservations especially now that we are in the season. Overall well done glad to see it is open and giving our downtown more vibe and ambiance. That is always a great thing. One last thing, bartenders, know every bottle you have. read more

The Urban Stillhouse ambiance reminds me of a cross between urban contemporary and earthy casual, and it felt inviting and comfortable. The food was very good, especially the wagyu burger. HOWEVER, a few words of caution. My husband ordered a SIDE salad (on the menu at $5); but he was served a Stillhouse salad at $13. While it was good, it was $8 more than what he ordered. We didn't initially realize the error, so of course, he ate it. We ordered the urban bruschetta on the menu at $11; but we were charged $17 (even after questioning our server about the cost, which she said was indeed $17). Afterwards, we rechecked the menu online, and the bruschetta is listed at $11. The bomboloni donuts were excellent and the citrus curd yummy, but almost too stiff for dipping; and, we were provided no utensils for the curd or the strawberry jam that was also served with the donuts. The jam was definitely not suitable for dipping. Now, let's do the math! Two of us (husband and wife) split and enjoyed a total of one beer, one glass of wine, one order of bruschetta, one salad, one burger (that came with fries). With tip, we dropped $102 for lunch. While we want to give it a better rating, for the money we felt it definitely came up short. Will not be on our list of go-to places in Somerset! read more

We were so excited to have this restaurant in Somerset, and although it's a beautiful place and they have a nice bar the menu is lacking choices, it's a very small and what's more disappointing is the he portion sizes, my husband and I both walked out of there still hungry. The food is great but just between the two of us ordering, two drinks, one salad, and an entrée each and desert that was so small we thought is was a sample size cheese cake, our bill was over $250 and to pay that much and still be hungry was very disappointing. We've had other friends and family go here and they all have the same complaints as we did. The service was great and the ambiance but I'm not sure if we will be going back unless we see that they have made their portion sizes bigger for the money they are charging. read more

I was excited to finally try Urban Stillhouse after waiting for it to open for two years. I first looked on yelp to look at the menu. I was so excited to see an amazing menu so I booked a table.! When I arrived the stay was very friendly and the restaurant was beautiful. It is so attractive and could be in any large city; couldn't be better!! When I got the menu, nothing that was on the App on line was on the menu and what was there was very limited and disappointing. I asked my server why the restaurant had posted a menu online that they didn't offer. He didn't know so he asked the managed. He came back and said, oh, the menu online is for our Florida restaurant.... Why would a local restaurant post a menu that isn't available. I was mad and felt tricked. Out of the very few items on the menu, only one looked moderately good; shrimp and grits. It was not good. The shrimp was large and tasty but there were only 4 shrimp and the grits were like wallpaper paste, so I only ate the shrimp and was left hungry from this entree. I am so sad the menu is like every other small town restaurant with all the other entree smothered in gravy and grease. I will not be going back to Urban Stillhouse until they bring their Florida menu to somerset. read more
