Cole helped me find the perfect deck, taught me about this new wave skimming surf thingie, and was just so fun & welcoming my gf demanded that I write a review, so the world would know the elements of creating a great experience for someone: 1. Expert knowledge (preparation) 2. Genuine enthusiasm (passion) 3. Generous spirit (he taught me so much in our short conversation because his focus was on helping) Thank you Cole for making the experience so fun for us! "Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." - Ralph Waldo Emerson "There is no passion to be found playing small; in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." - Mandela

Me and my new board from urban surf

The guys at this cool little surf shop in Seattle were super helpful and this is a great shop! Great wetsuit selection. Got a 9 ft foamie there that I love and it's in a cool area of Seattle too! Go check em out!

Highly recommended! Ian spent some time to explain board and wetsuit designs. When it was decision time, Ian encouraged me towards what he thought was the best fit for me instead of the more expensive option. That move won my returning business. The staff then continued to go above and beyond by showing me how to read surf reports. They showed me how to surf Westport and offered advice on other well known Washington breaks. They also respectfully mentioned etiquette in the water and to be mindful about where I set up camp overnight. Everyone in the shop was helpful and welcoming to me as a beginner. If you're in the market, make sure to drop in.

Great, helpful staff! Incredible inventory! If only I won the lottery I'd spend 3 hours in there picking out stuff I want.

The selection is huge, but it's really the people that keep me coming back. The shop team is awesome and they actually listen. If something isn't feeling right with your gear, they're super open to feedback and want to make it right. Matt, the shop manager, is the man. He's incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. It makes a huge difference going into a season knowing your gear was handled by people who care. I also have to give a massive shoutout to Caesar, who helped me with a boot fit recently. I can't say enough good things about him. He sat there and listened to every single complaint I had about my old boots and didn't stop until we found the perfect pair. We tried on at least four different sets, and he was so patient through the whole process. What I appreciated most was how honest he was about the tradeoffs between different fits. He explained exactly what I should be looking for and how to adjust them on the fly. He moved me from a "beginner" comfort fit into a performance boot that feels worlds better on the snow. I really hope he's still there when I'm ready for my next pair, but honestly, with how good he is, he'll probably be running the company by then. Whether you're just starting out or you've been skiing for years, go to Evo. They have the perfect mix of being approachable but also knowing exactly what they're talking about.

Sure they have a awesome selection of ski related things, and we did just get new boots here, and rentals for the kiddo, and all that on top of the value, prices were great and while not the cheapest, if you actually go take your gear up even just a few times, it's honestly one of the best offers in the area. So, you need worry, the experts are here.

I randomly find made in Portugal shoes that may run for $280 to $300 for $40. I think it's about approach. I will say that the Cap Hill location feels like the grow up sibling. I go here for Scotch and Soda blazers, Camper shoes, random Nike collabs, and a $20 dress shirt. I am happy that this crossroads exists. Service is hit or miss.
