Antonio and Salvador put in concrete borders (with rebar) to stabilize the path edges and contain the base rock, carefully fit and aligned the pavers, mortared in the outside (sailor) courses, precisely cut pavers to fill in irregular places in complicated parts of the path, and vibrated in polyermic sand as a final step to prevent washout and minimize weed growth. Also, communication with Torres management (Gerardo and Graciela) has been excellent throughout the project, to make sure that costs were carefully scoped out and that we would be happy with the finished product. Considering the quality of the finished product, the cost was quite reasonable. I could not be happier with their work, and highly reccomended Torres Landscaping!

They did a fast, highly professional job, even trimming other trees--including one in my neighbors front yard! We've also been working with Rick to get our front yard managed (also got overgrown). He was always available to answer any questions from me in person or via e-mail promptly and in detail. His team was here every day, on time. Bill had great suggestions that I haven't thought of. He installed gold fines for the dog run and made clear, that it takes some time for it to settle down and be solid. Meanwhile I deal with some loose gold fines. Even after being paid, he's available for further questions and concerns I have. They left my property clean and took all the trash and debris with them. Meanwhile he advised me to do a little maintenance to speed up that process. I had to bring in my good friend to fix the problem who said it was not properly prepped, lacked certain essential materials and told me "I got what I payed for". I payed my friend to do it correctly. I'm usually very good intuitively with people but this guy played me well. I tried questioning him towards the end but his way of resolving the problem was to give me some material to fix it myself. I didn't pay you Bill for me to "fix your mistakes". Totally unprofessional and lack of follow through. If he wanted to right this wrong he'd give me a portion of my money back.

Lew and his team managed the yard and landscaping at our rental home in Sunnyvale for the first five years we were there. The place was the best on the block, always getting comments from friends and neighbors who came by. Not only is Lew a professional, his crew are very knowledgeable about horticulture. They would know the names of the plants and trees and what they needed to thrive and how to do everything. The lawn was always so lush - barefoot lawn, for sure. About three years ago the property manager decided to save some money and hired cheap mow-and-blow guys. Things went downhill right away. Weeds have now over taken the lawn. Plants and shrubs not getting proper attention. It's an embarrassment. If it was up to me I would hire Lew and Barefoot back asap!
