Best care I've ever received at a dentist office. Everyone was patient friendly and highly informed.

Was told I had periodontitis and was at a very advanced stage where my teeth were loose and at risk of losing them ... as many other reviews here I absolutely did not. They quoted me thousands and talked me into doing lasers at one point. Last visit I went for a cleaning and they told me they would not do anything if I didn't agree to th deep clean which was thousands out of pocket not covered by my insurance more than once every 2 years. I had been there about 2 hours at this point while they did xrays and bone loss tests I didn't agree to and they don't clearly disclose they are doing until they come in with their quote. Get a second opinion. Found it odd my prior dentist visits elsewhere were never crazy diagnosis but once I walked through this door this place all but told me my teeth were falling out within the next month. Nice to see, but alarming, people have this same exact experience and false diagnosis at all locations. Good reviews on here are incentivized so beware. I have had one cavity entire life. They told me I did and I got it filled but after looking at reviews here of being told there were vagaries and there were not I am fairly sure they took a watch area and told me I had a cavity I needed filled asap. read more

If I could give Urbn dental zero stars, I would. About a year ago, I was told I had gum disease and pressured into a $1,600 laser therapy treatment. I couldn't afford it, so I settled for a deep cleaning, which still cost me $400. Fast forward to last week, I went to a new dentist, and they told me I do not have gum disease. I just grind my teeth. It's shocking that a professional would misdiagnose something so basic. This office seems more interested in scaring patients into unnecessary, expensive treatments than actually providing proper care. Absolutely do not trust them. Shame on you!! read more

I specifically asked when I called if they had an in house lab as I needed a temporary bridge immediately. I was told they did. It turns out they do not and wanted to charge me $950 and it would take about a week. I was there 2 hours and left with nothing but a huge estimate and a charge for $101.72 which $2.72 was for using a credit card. I wasn't given the option to pay cash which I would have. The dentist was nice but that didn't help my situation today. read more

I called and texted multiple times to confirm that my cleaning would be free, They assured me via phone call and the attached image of a text I got from them, stating that my appointment would be fully covered, and that my insurance is in network. I regularly go to the dentist about three times a year but I'm new to Houston. so tell me why they dead ass tried to charge me $9000 and told me that I had the worst teeth they've ever seen with severe bone loss in my teeth. They literally tried to terrify me into doing whatever they wanted to do and steal my money. Not only was I lied to about my appointment being free prior, they dead ass tried to charge me $9,031. They don't give a shit about you, theyre after your wallet and will tell you anything to get you to come in. Thieves and should be ashamed of themselves and the "practice" they run. Check out the negative reviews as you'll see the pattern I experienced which is deceptive practices that aim to get more money out of you. Here is my story: I have never had a single dental issue, and once I started at URBN they told me I needed extra deep cleanings that required payment beyond what insurance pays. They also led me to believe that it would be temporary (about a year or so) and then could go back to regular cleanings. After a year, I inquired and was told I misheard and there is no way to go back to regular cleanings. The office staff also charged me once for fluoride which I had not wanted and not been clearly explained would be used. They did apologize and credited me for the next time, but after noticing this pattern of behavior I started to doubt their intentions and tried a new dentist who found no issues whatsoever and, without giving anything away, validated my concerns about the shady practices at URBN. Everyone, including the office staff, are trying to scam more money out of patients. This practice has a ton of 5 star reviews because they market in the office that leaving a good review results in getting a gift. Even I fell for it, knowing full well that it was a red flag and that would skew their average review ratings. I should have just listened to myself then. DO NOT risk getting deceived. Just choose somewhere else with people who are genuinely looking out for you and your dental health. read more

By far the best dentist office I've been to. It's clean, modern, and most importantly it's private rooms (with great views). Dr. Duong is excellent; he explains things clearly, and he takes time with his patients. I very much appreciate it. They have the latest technology, coffee and water in the waiting room, and close parking (garage across the street). read more

The staff takes incompetent to another level (especially reception- still waiting on my charts ) Hygienist sucked and tried to upsell to laser cleaning based on non factual information. I had the best visit I have ever experienced with a dental practice. Everyone was so welcoming. I was greeted by Mr. Christopher and the receptionist as soon as I walked in. The check in process was quick and easy. Was taken right into my room where I was greeted by the dental assistant who was very experienced with all that she did and talked step by step of what we were going to be doing. Then the dental hygienist Jorge came in to say hello and go over some very important things before seeing my dentist. Then Jorge came back in and ONG did I have the easiest cleaning I have ever received. Typically it's a tad bit painful and my anxiety rises but he made it very easy. Numbed me with a paste and got to work. Not to mention the laughs and small talk to help keep my mind off what he was doing. :) thank you URBN dental! I went here to get a second opinion after a filling left me unable to chew on one side of my mouth. The dentist was fantastic! He was very patient and tried to understand what the possible issue is. The pain only occurs when I'm chewing so he worked with me to identify where the pain was/addressed my concerns. Would recommend!! read more

My top left wisdom tooth was hurting so badly. I can't chew food on my left side because of the pain it caused me. In December 2022 I tried to go to a local low cost clinic to save, but they ended up being more expensive and on top of that-- they were not very thorough with checking my teeth, and they couldn't even schedule anything for my tooth until Feb 2023. URBN Dental could get me in as soon as the actual day I called them. They had an assistant do my x rays, they had a hygienist come in who checked my teeth and recommended types of dental cleaning, and then the dentist came in recommending further treatment for my tooth and my dental health overall. It was such a smooth process, they were all very kind and explained things very thoroughly. It was such a pleasant experience. As someone who gets extremely anxious at the dentist they were so kind and gentle with me. They took my anxiety seriously and walked through each step with me. I'm excited to begin my treatment soon! Very hard to get in contact with. Set an appointment here weeks before, and on the date of the appointment I was told my Dr wasn't available because he was at a different location. They tried to set me up with another person last minute when I arrived and they were not available. They had so much time to let me know the situation before hand but did not. I've arranged and canceled things for this appointment so the situation was a waste of my time and very unprofessional. I was told that I'd get an update on when I could reschedule and it's been almost two weeks now. I've been attempting to contact them through call and text and gained no response feeling completely ghosted. I was very excited about this place but ended up very disappointed. read more

Went for a cleaning, they told me I needed a deep cleaning, $325. Then told me I needed 5 fillings and laser (~2-3k). So I got a 2nd opinion from a family's friend dentist. Turns out I never needed the deep cleaning because I don't have bone loss. ALSO had zero cavities and needed zero fillings or laser. They lie about your oral health so they can charge you for more money. Find a dentist you can trust and avoid this place. read more

I was searching for a dental office in the area and happened upon URBN Dental. It was only 4 minutes away from me and booking an appointment was easy. All forms were completed online prior to the appointment so when I arrived they were ready to room me right away! Which was honestly a shame, because I barely had time to enjoy the super cool and colorful waiting room they have. The staff (front desk, hygienist, dentist) were all friendly and I felt very well taken care of. Every step of the appointment was explained thoroughly to me and they were all open to any questions. I really very much, and i mean very very much enjoyed my time here. If I could work/live at the this dentist I would. I wish I was better at names but the whole office staff, hygienist, helpers, dentist, and everyone really were amazing and ssoooooo perfect. So starting off the administrative personal were so welcoming, and i was seen so promptly to my room. The small talk didn't seem forced or fake like you can tell everyone is genuinely so happy. I then proceded to get xrays, which are usually uncomfortable (to me), but the dental assistant really did their best to make the process go by as quick and as painless as possible. I then met the Dr who I really felt like listened to my concerns and was able to assess me properly. On top of that, the educational information with after care was perfect because the dr made sure you understood how to exactly maintain proper hygiene. Oh and affordability is phenomenal. I was really helped out with my part of the expenses that the insurance wouldn't cover. Sorry for being bad at knowing names but I love you all! Especially quinton because he offered me Starbucks and I owe him Ps. The dental bag after goes crraazzzyyyy, I love my new tooth brush. read more

Best dental experience ever! Dr. David Nguyen provides a safe and affirming space, is kind, and is very good at his job. All the staff are welcoming. I appreciated the use of text messages for reminders, completing forms and sharing info on what to expect in advance. Loved that they accepted my insurance (hard to find). The office is beautiful and very comfortable. They have great technology and know how to use it to make dental services helpful/collaborative, painless, and fast. Along with accepting insurance - they also accept Care Credit - no excuses to delay treatment due to $$$ concerns. read more

Amazing experience. I broke a molar about 8 years ago and successfully ignored it (as a millennial with spotty access to dental insurance is one to do) until this morning when I woke up in pain. I made an appointment online from bed and by 10:30 Dr. Henry and Danisha had numbed me up and gotten the tooth out. Pain free and easy. Thought we were going in for exam, xray and basic cleaning for special rate offered at $99 each. Upon exam, said deep cleaning needed for each of us and would not perform basic cleaning. Stated it's a standard of practice and the office requires it. Cost of deep was quoted at $1,444 each reduced to $700 each! After much discussion, opted not to have deep cleaning done. Still had to pay $99 each and never got basic cleaning. Learned the special rate was typical for exam and xray. The basic cleaning is $100 more. A bit misleading. Nice team there. Just too young and too tied to specific steps rather than truly logical solutions. Sometimes going off path is the best path. read more

I had a FANTASTIC experience at URBN Dental. I found them on ZocDoc and set an appt. It ended up I couldn't come at that time but they texted me offering a different time the same day which I did. I also filled out all the paperwork online; it was super thorough, and I thought it was really cool they had sections that asked about if you are afraid of the dentist, if there's any accommodations they could make you such as sunglasses or a blanket, and a few other questions based entirely on your comfort and preferences which was amazing. I ended up being late due to traffic and they were super understanding and when I arrived they had everything prepared and I waited in a private room for a bit. Everything was very clean and comfy. The hygienist, Quentin, did my x-rays/pictures and then he took the time to thoroughly explain everything too me, what I was looking at, what looked good, what looked bad (a lot of it), and how it all worked together which I really appreciated. He was also really nice in general and was joking with me and making sure I was comfortable. Then Dr. Duong came in and he was also super nice. I have a lot of different health stuff, some of which has affected my teeth, so my medical forms tend to be fairly long. He had clearly read through it all, though, and asked a few follow up questions and listened when I explained. Specifically, I have a lot of allergies, one being blue dye which is in a lot of dental products. He looked at my teeth and gave descriptive advice which was really helpful, then another person (who's name I didn't catch) came in and went over pricing with me and helped me get a care thing set up so I'd be able to pay with payments. Another person (who's name I also didn't catch, but I think she had pink in her hair) used this super fancy thing to scan my teeth for a mouthguard. After all of that, Dr. Duong came back in and told me he had gotten all the stuff removed from my goodie bag that had blue dye. He also made sure the prescription toothpaste he gave me didn't have blue dye. He then did my cleaning, but first told me what sensory things I would experience related to sound, sensation, and taste (I had told him I hate brushing my teeth because of all the sensations), and told me that if at any point I needed a break, to raise my left hand. Everyone there seemed happy, even when I was leaving at 5pm, and everyone was really nice. I could not recommend coming here more, especially if you have any fears of the dentist or don't like brushing your teeth lol! Thank you to everyone there! read more

Wow! I have been searching far and wide for a reputable dentist, with honest opinions and great reviews and I finally found this place! I couldn't be more happy with how my first visit went. I'm traveling all the way from League City and will continue to come here for dental care. For the first time in a long time I left feeling lifted and confident about my oral health. My last dentist I used to go to for YEARS and I would always leave feeling like something was wrong, I was gross, my oral health was horrible and that I needed all these extra surgery's but today at URBN they told me I didn't need the Tissue Graft my old provider was trying to push on me which would've been thousands of dollars and they actually told me my mouth, teeth where pretty healthy! The people were sincere, the facility was beautiful & clean and I payed only 27$ because I wanted the fluoride. Otherwise it was all covered, my last dentist was around 100$ per visit with the same insurance. Very happy and excited to be a new patient here! read more
