I was on a business trip when my crown broke and fell out. They got me in the next morning and not only were able to get me a new crown in like 2 hours, but I have pretty intense dental anxiety and they made everything SO much less stressful. At every turn, from the front office to the team in there with me (Jessica was amazing), everyone made me feel so comfortable. They have a "comfort menu" and I had a weighted blanket, neck pillow, earplugs and an eye mask and it's one of the few appointments I've had where I haven't been in fight or flight the whole time. Also, I read a previous review about Dr. Dang's jedi mind tricks when doing to numbing, and it was effective, I barely felt anything. In one day, I went from tooth pain to having my crown installed and crunching away at stuff I likely should not have crunched at. The bedside manner is great. I had my first cleaning appointment on halloween and they had a picture booth. All the ladies were sweet and fun, we took pictures. They quickly started working on me. Gave a list of treatments that I would need. I requested to have regular cleaning and they started it without being pushy about the extra treatments which I really liked. My cleaning felt amazing after a long time. My previous dentist always used to push me to pay for 'Deep Cleaning' and doing an awful job at regular cleaning but they did an amazing job when I started with them. Dr. Freeman at Brilliant Dental Care has been my dentist for two cleanings now, and I'm a fan. (I liked my previous dentist just as much, but Dr. Freeman's office offers Invisalign, something that I'm considering for the future.) X-rays and cleaning are pain-free, fast and easy - and the staff is exceptional. I feel like my mouth is sterile for weeks - longer than any other cleaning I had at any other office. He's opening a new office along Washington within the next few weeks, so now there are two convenient inner loop locations. If you don't have insurance, they do have reasonable prices (x-ray and cleaning) at a reasonable rate (I think it's around $99). They also do in-office crown moldings, so you don't have to wait weeks for a filling - they do it right then and there. read more

I am no longer going to Freeman Cosmetic Dental. My initial experience posting stands and I had a number of good experiences (cleanings, filling, etc.). Unfortunately, I did have one rough cleaning which didn't need to be rough (not by the hygienist) which pushed me to go elsewhere. For some, 1 not-so-good experience out of a number of other good ones probably wouldn't be enough to make a change but, for me, when it comes to dental experiences they all need to be good. Since a Yelp rating of 4 = "Yay! I'm a fan," I can't go that high now. I selected 3 = "A-OK" (attempting to balance between good / not-so-good experiences). The people at the office are very nice. I have only had 1 experience with Dr Freeman, smack dab in the middle of the Covid Pandemic! After cracking two molars on a pice of gravel in a plate of food I ordered, I never felt much pain, and let things slide. Bad Idea, an infection moved in, and the pain was awful. I went to looking for someone who might actually be open. The Lord led me to Marla from the Meyerland Office. I was immediately assured when she went to work on finding a slot for me, and gave me her own cell to make sure I did not loose touch. That was the beginning. Then meeting Lisa in the Heights and Dr Freeman himself. We do a lot of CME and meet medical professionals from Houston's Premier Clinics Hospitals, and Teaching Schools all the time. An older guy, I have a Cadre of hand picked Docs that I see, All this is great, but once Dr. Freeman get's involved, you have arrived at excellence's door. I honestly never believed, I could get enthusiastic about a Dentist, but I am beyond enthusiastic. Coming from Tomball, it's no short drive, but well worth every bump in the road getting to & in his care. This is the work ethic our grandparents talked about-and more. Professional is the beginning. I have been a patient of Dr. Freeman for many years. I originally started with him at the Beechnut location and had some extensive work done in 2012/2013. I didn't see him more than a year as we were dealing with Hurricane Harvey floods and damage but recently went to the Heights location for a check up, x-rays, and cleaning. The hygenist was very gentle and seemed skilled; however, at the end of the cleaning and x-rays she had spotted one area of concern being a darkened past of an x-ray. She didn't notice a filling on the side of one of my wisdom teeth until I asked about it. Hmmm. Dr. Freeman then did his exam after a brief chat wherein I told him about our flood and the extensive damages. I also communicated I had no dental insurance. He proceeded to tell me I had 5 areas that needed work - in each case either replacing old crowns or putting in new ones, all in the back of the mouth including a wisdom tooth. Likely a root canal too. He was surprised I had no pain when the problem areas were tapped. Indeed, no toothache or problems. On my way out I was billed for the exam, x-ray, and cleaning for $368. Wow. I was also recommended a toothpaste and for a normal sized tube was charged $20. Wow2. Then I was given a quote for 3 visits to fix the 5 "problems" that were found. They were giving me a 5% discount for paying cash. Wow3. The total cost for the recommended treatment was around $6,000. Wow4!!!! I'm sorry but this is totally ridiculous. Obviously Dr. Freeman is changing his practice to cater to millionaires and independently wealthy for whom money has no meaning. Insulting for a long time patient, flood survivor, to be pushed to pay $6,000 for crowns in the back of the mouth when there is no apparent problem or pain. So I decided to cancel my appointment. Since I had been given a letter telling me that I would be charged $50 for changing an appointment within 24 hours I called 28 hours before the appointment only to get a message service that told me the office was closed and I should call back the next day. Wow5. I like Dr. Freeman very much and can attest to his skills. However, I am disappointed at his changing approach to his practice where all but the stupidly rich and powerful will be able to afford his services. Good luck to all who want to continue using him. I hope you have a fat bank balance or dental insurance like none ever seen before. In reality if I had insurance the $6,000 proposed charges would be knocked down by the insurance company to a realistic number. Then the insurance company would take 3 months to pay minimum. So why not give the same pricing to a long time patient and get cash immediately? Doesn't seem like a good business decision and insulting to boot. Goodbye. read more

I had an appointment today with Dr. Farias, and I've never had a more worse experience. I was a few minutes late to my appt, being that I had trouble finding the office. After checking in, it takes Dr. Farias 45 minutes to do the exam. X-rays were only completed on one side of my mouth, despite me being scheduled for a comprehensive exam with note to tooth pain on the right side of the mouth. To make matters worse, she picks at my teeth for about 10 minutes, and then tells me I have to reschedule for a tooth filling because she doesn't have time today. I would never recommend this dental office to anyone. It appears that they are overscheduled and are inconsiderate of patient's time. read more

For example, a handheld device takes x-rays so you don't have to sit in the chair while they move heavy equipment, it's simple and quick. Also, he makes crowns in the office, so you don't need to have a temporary crown and come back for another visit. You can come in one time and get a new crown all in the same visit, this is a huge benefit for busy people. - They have amenities to help keep you comfortable, including movie glasses, a neck pillow, blankets, eye mask and will strive to make your dentist visit as comfortable as possible. - My previous dentist had a chaotic office with people running around, looking all stressed out. This made me nervous, The staff at Dr Freeman's office all have ear-buds, so they can communicate quickly and quietly. In my opinion, this makes for a much more relaxed and peaceful office atmosphere and I think this helps the patients feel more at ease too. -Dr Freeman offers reasonable priced services for uninsured patients as well. -Office location is centrally located and easy to get to. read more
