Took a friend in who'd just bought a second hand board and wanted it checked out. No upsell was piled on. No knocking a board they didn't sell. Just happy to check it out for us and make sure it was safe. Not even a discussion about billing us for it. There was a recommendation for better bearings, which we took. I bought a complete from them for 150 (had a real low quality warped deck, basic blank wheels & hardware, mini logo grip & bearings.) the deck snapped after 6 hours and they gave me a new one because it clearly snapped like a toothpick but they mad me pay an additional 7.50$ for mini logo grip again! they don't know much about skating and they do not have very good quality boards. I have been skateboarding for many years and I highly recommend avoiding Urbn sk8. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but this is an exception. My husband went to this shop ready to buy a board for my son (skate camp) and support a local business during covid, rather, he was verbally harassed by the salesman. I would like to precurse this statement with my husband is a very kind and patient man. I am not. My husband came in today with a specific board and goal in mind, but the man aggressively/rudely pushed his own agenda and pushed a a board that was far more expensive (and not what my husband wanted). My son is a beginner and we weren't looking for something that would last forever, just a good starter board. First he insulted my husband's experience and intelligence by asking, "do you even KNOW how to skate?" Also, my husband wanted to know a logical reason for the board the salesman was pushing and his response was " because [my son] would get bullied." Finally, my husband asked "could you at least educate me as to why I shouldn't get [the board he wanted]?" And the man's calloused response was "that's the camp's job!" During difficult times like these, I would love to give grace, but this man and this company has lost all our respect. We ended up buying a board from the Vans store from a very king and non condescending young man. read more
