Worst online buying experience I've ever had. They mislabeled a shoe on their site with the description and SKU for [Insert Shoe Name X]. I messaged them before shipping to warn them of the mix-up, but they ignored me, sent the wrong shoe anyway, and are now refusing to allow a return or issue a refund. I had a really disappointing experience at Arts-Rec in Barrio Logan on the evening of 6/26. I came in looking for a pair of shoes in a different size, but no one greeted me when I walked in. After waiting for a while, I had to approach an employee myself and ask if they could grab my size. The employee said they would, but then never came back. I waited, looked around the store for several minutes, and was completely ignored. Eventually, I just walked out without buying anything. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've had poor customer service here. The staff often come across as rude, unwelcoming, and uninterested in helping customers. It's frustrating because I like supporting local businesses, but experiences like this make it hard to want to come back. I won't be returning. read more

This is my go to shop for sneakers in San Diego. They get all the big Nike and Jordan releases. The skate ramp in the back is insane, definitely worth a visit just to check out the backyard area. We went in to get a certain boot the salesman greeted us and at if he could help I showed him a picture of the boot I was looking for and he went right to that boot. He got me the sized I needed and stayed to make sure that size fit. My son asked to see a boot and he went and got that boot. We walked out with 2 pairs of boots we were in and out within 20 minutes. This skate shops seems very out of place, being in Barrio Logan. But, this is one of the nicest skate shops I've ever walked into. This shop is definitely more high-end... since when were skaters bougie? This shop has an amazing selection of Vans in almost every pattern and color. They also had a great selection of Nike SB shoes. The prices were as reasonable as any other skate shop. I loved the selection of shirts and hoodies. They have an extensive Stussy selection, I had no idea Stussy made a comeback. What really stood out was the sunglasses display. They had their own brand in so many colors and styles. They even had cool frames for reading glasses. As we were looking at the glasses, we were greeted by a friendly employee, telling us we gotta check out the skate ramp in the backyard. We walked out to one of the most beautiful backgrounds I've ever seen. There was a huge skate ramp. I wish I had brought my board to ride it. Maybe, some other time. Overall, this place had a lot of modern styles at reasonable prices. It will definitely be my go-to skate shop. 5 Stars for great selection and the only skate shop I've seen with a skate ramp! read more

Walked into this cool shop today. Really nicely put together place, airy, clean, not overly packed with product. They have a backyard area, nicely landscaped with a skate ramp. The sales guy,Tony(hope I remembered that right...he's from Chula V.), was very helpful. He showed us around and let us know the alterations/sewing business next door sews their tags etc on and they use a local print shop, too. I love that they are keeping it local. Also, whoever hired Tony, good job. He's friendly and knowledgeable about the product and I can tell he likes his job and people. I rarely see this so when I do I like to yelp it (also i like my son to see that type of employee, it's rare these days) read more

I never really give a bad review. If my experience is poor I might just not come back to the establishment but I frequent barrio Logan often. I have a few friends that own and run a small shops in that area, so I love supporting all of the businesses that are growing in that beautiful community. I'd rather shop a small businesses because I rather give them business and help them grow. I'm also a manager for 3 hair removal salons in San Diego so I'm very much familiar with customer service and the experience given to the shopper/consumer. I stopped by this past Sunday with my family. My bf was looking for some Air Force 1's cause they're all sold out in San Diego. The gentleman working this Sunday was not very accommodating at all in fact he had 2 girls in the shop with him not once did he ask if we needed any help in fact not even acknowledging our presence. No one was wearing a mask. To my understanding San Diego is mandating masks be worn at all times in doors when entering a business of any sort. There was food on one of the benches... and when finally I had to ask for help for a size he seemed very annoyed. Idk just left a very poor taste in my mouth. I understand staffing at this time is very challenging. I'm fully aware if businesses struggling due to the pandemic however the bare minimum of customer service is greatly appreciated and I felt so unappreciated and I felt like my business was annoying. Sad to say I will never be returning to this location. Customer service needs exceptional improvement. I do love all the brands and quality. read more

I visited this place yesterday while in Logan heights. It's the most over priced skate shop I have ever been too. the place looks amazing but it's a joke how over priced everything is. This place makes hanger 94 or sun diego look seem like it's thrift store prices. They need to rethink there business model in order to survive in such a poor area of San Diego. read more

I've been there a couple times, when I first came I thought the shop was pretty cool and unique. I returned a few months later. I had a question, I don't know who was working at the time, but he was very rude. I asked him if I could have the owners/mangers email. He said. "What for" I said I'm interesting in hosting an event and I was looking for a venue. He said "what event?" I said "I prefer to speak to the owner" he proceed by saying "it's a couple of grand" like I wouldn't be able to afford the venue because I was black. Which first of all, he had no idea who I was or what I did but for him to be so disrespectful and rude to a potential client ,who I might add , has a couple grand to spend. He gave me the email finally however because of how rude he was I will not be inquiring further. Also I will not be returning. I think it was very unprofessional. I think this business is poorly run.
