My massage was AMAZING, although you can hear people coming in the door and once or twice i heard another massage therapist asking someone about the massage. For a $65 massage I'll take it. I left a 25% tip ($15) on a $60 one hour massage, pretty generous I would say considering the things you have to put up with during the massage itself. The lady asked me how much I was leaving (rude) and I couldn't tell if she was annoyed by the amount. She even told me not to come back. I wasn't sure I understood her and told her as much that it was more than 20% so was the problem that it was too much or too little? All she did was stare. The massage was decent, but the ambiance is horrible. If you like that the masseuses talk to each other through the opening at the top of the makeshift wall or leave the door open when they go to get the hot stones/towels, then this is the place for you. I was a regular customer at the Parsipanny store. I always have to bring my own comforter since the rooms are too cold and there's usually one other client that is complaining about something at the front desk which I have to put up with listening to during my massage. Even still, I usually tip 20%. However, during my last visit the therapist was too rough and I had to ask her repeatedly to take it easy. For this, I tipped her 15%, still a good tip, considering. She brought the manager out who ended up yelling at me to give 20% when I tried explaining to her that the amount of tip is given based on the client's experience. She ended up saying "if you want to give more fine, if not, then leave (and motioned to me with a "shoo shoo" hand gesture). As a business owner myself, and a regular (cash-paying) customer here it's a shame this place would lose my business over $5. I will be taking my business elsewhere. UPDATE: I was able to speak to the owner, Tiffany, and after seeing my yelp review, she assured me that she has spoken with the girls at the Parsippany location. She reprimanded the one lady for yelling at me and told her you NEVER yell at customers. She also taught them that it is not polite or appropriate to demand larger tips from customers. read more

They use "Vaseline" instead of massage oil to massage customers' feet, which is gross. BE AWARE, there is a MANDATORY tip $10 for each hour of their service. I recently went here for the first time thanks to an Amazon Local Deal - for a 1 hour Hot Stone Massage. I get massages every month for the past few years, so definitely have experience about knowing a good or bad massage...and I must say, my experience here was GREAT. The woman I had did a fabulous job. I got a full hour, full body, wonderful massage. If you've ever been somewhere that gave you a "lazy" massage, you will know the difference here. She really put her all into my massage, and it makes a difference! When the timer went off at 60 minutes she kept going to finish the last part she was working on. I recently bought a Groupon deal for a 60 minute massage, at the Livingston, NJ, location. I gave it to my husband as part of his birthday gift. He did not have a great experience and I don't think I would get a groupon for that place again. A male masseuse massaged him, and my husband said he was face down the whole time. The masseuse used a lot of strength, using his elbows, etc... on my husband and after his massage, my husband was really sore, like in pain that night (and my husband is muscular and a strong guy). That night, I looked at his back and he had major red marks on his upper back (like bruise marks), probably from the force of the elbows. And the guy never massaged my husband's head or scalp nor his feet. It was literally back, back arms and back legs only for 60 minutes! We've been to quite a few spas (many nice ones in resorts) and I feel this was just unprofessional. On a plus note, he did go over his time limit which is nice, and my husband said he did fall asleep so it couldn't have been that bad. Also, when I called to make the appointment, the person answering the phone was driving, said she would call me back, and of course, she never did. I called again, only to hear voice mailbox is full, so I texted her the time and date, and they just wrote back, OK. Kind of unprofessional. They never asked what kind of massage, whether I had a groupon, or if there was a male or female masseuse preference. read more

The worst 60 min massage I ever received. 1. Not relaxing at all - my massage therapist was talking to a coworker the whole time and was texting on her phone. I was shocked that she deemed her behavior appropriate. 2. I had an appointment at 10am - my massage started past 10:30am. 3. I left a $6 tip because of my experience - normally I would generously give at least $11- and they informed me that I needed to at least leave $10 in tip. Then they proceeded to say something in Chinese to each other. I left $10 without hesitation because I just wanted to get out of there. My overall experience was horrible. Great oriental massage with hot stone and Chinese balm for my back pain. Painful because I had back pain but the massage helped a lot.

I would say it is 2.5 stars. I walked in to make a same day appointment. Granted it was Monday but their schedule was all open. Came back for my appointment and had to wait 20 minutes (they take walk-ins). There is no paperwork to fill-in or any liability forms to fill out like with places such as massage envy. I paid $55 plus tip for a 60 minute massage. The lady spoke a couple of words in English, so it was hard to communicate. I have definitely have had better massages. I have been there about 10 times, and every time the massages are amazing. I get massages all of the time all over the world and these are the best. I bought this deal from a Groupon site. So, i called the place for an appointment. Receptionist was rude, asked for my name and contact info and the day I'm coming in. Day came, went there. Receptionist was nice but cant speak english. Told her that i have an appointment. She wants me to point in a piece of bond paper (with names and number of clients) where my name is. Surprise! It wasn't there. Several minutes after asking back and forth to the other lady inside a room, that lady told me no appointment. I don't have an appointment cause THEY DIDN'T CALL ME to confirm. This business should be avoided. Two of us purchased a Groupon for a 1 hour massage. Upon arrival we were charged a $7 fee for "New Jersey taxes". They said it was $3 each, but asked for $7. We paid the $6. Then after the standard unlicensed massage we were told we owed $10 each for tip. I explained that the gratuity is optional and at customer discretion. I'm pretty surprised at the number of low-star reviews here. You should know when you come here that you're not going to get the luxury spa experience, which is totally fine by me. (I was staying at the Westin and considered just going to their in-hotel spa until I found this place on Yelp.) As far as strip mall, immigrant-operated places go, this is one of the better ones I've been to. (Granted, I'm comparing it mostly to massage parlors in New York City, which probably have smaller margins and even fewer frills.) - My masseuse went a couple minutes over the scheduled hour, instead of kicking me out after the timer beeps, like some places. - There was a hot stone portion included - I've normally had to pay for it / ask separately at other places. - There were actual enclosed rooms with real walls, instead of one big room partitioned with sheets. - The proprietor flat-out offered me their "Groupon special" ($49/hour) even though I didn't ask and didn't have a Groupon! I would've paid their normal price if she hadn't mentioned it, so that was pretty nice. - The massage was firm, which I prefer. I feel like this is less a "relaxation" massage and more a "untangle those back knots with an iron hand" massage. Not for everyone - but perfect for me. read more

I found this place through groupon and I'm so happy that I did. Price point is very reasonable without lacking the service that you'd want. Massage and facials are WONDERFUL! No frills or no relaxing wait area as there is a hair salon upstairs & for massages/facials you walk downstairs, but none of that matters when they go to work. Both my massage and facial went over the time allocated which was so nice that they weren't so uptight about the "60 min massage" which is really only 45 to 50 at other salons due to undressing etc. My facial was supposed to be 75 min and she didn't finish until well after 95-100 min. The quality of the product that they use is comparable to other salons as well, but what really gets me is the price point. I do not feel as if I'm overpaying and their packages are great. Sign up for 10 facials and you get the 11th free! If you break it down, each facial is $31. read more

Not a spa atmosphere at all. The rooms are not fully closed off so you can hear everything, toilet flushing, people coming in and out of the establishment, people walking up and down the hall, clients having conversations and hearing the receptionist talking to clients on the phone...EVERYTHING!! The massage was good but I couldn't relax during the massage because of the noises. They did not have sheets to cover you up, they used towels and massaged you with baby oil and wiped you down with a warm wash cloth towards the end of the session. The staff doesn't speak English that my husband had to download an app on his phone to translate what he was saying. If you are paying with cash, they won't charge tax. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough cash so I had to use my card and the lady at the front desk didn't know how to use the credit card machine that I had to show her how to use it. I went to California to attended massage school because they are more about healing then money like they are here with their 50 minute so called one hour massage. Well at Urelax they gave me a full one hour plus massage the therapist did not stop when the timer went off she finished the complete massage. I will definitely go back at least once a month. The only thing to be aware is this is not like a relaxing spa experience, there were two women getting foot reflexology in the front waiting room and they talked the entire time. Their voices, and those of patrons in rooms next to you are audible and even the occassional beeping of cars in the plaza parking lot could be heard. Where do I start?! One star isn't even worth giving to this place. ABSOLUTELY the WORST business I've ever been to. The people are so RUDE and mean. They barely speak English & they give you dirty looks the entire time. I am 7 months pregnant and I went there for a foot massage, they didn't accept my groupon because they were only taking REGULAR paying customers that day. (Why have a groupon out then?) Next, the woman in front tells me because I have a groupon and I'm not a regular paying customer that they can't give me a massage and that I have to come back another day! How rude is that?! My husband and I had a couples massage yesterday. Awful. Not only was the atmosphere lacking, the ladies doing our massage could not stop talking for a minute! They were chatting and giggling for about half the time until I finally had to ask them to be quiet. Terribly annoying. In addition, the massage itself was so rough and painful.
