I had contacted a few companies to have them assess the issue but unfortunately, many didn't service the specific water heater we have. Finally, I contacted this company last week and spoke to Jorge. He stated that he would come by the same week to check it out. He was very responsive and communicative which is very important being that I work throughout the week and don't have time to wait around. He came by last Thursday and saw that the water heater was fine BUT the vent hasn't been cleaned out since the installation of the water heater back in 2016. There was 6 years worth of blockage causing it to make a loud noise since there was hardly any space for the air the be released. Jorge cleaned it out and checked other areas that might have been causing the noise. He was here for almost an hour making sure everything was functioning properly. I had several companies come out to estimate the project, and Raul gave me an extremely competitive estimate on what needed to be done and the approximate cost. Of everyone who saw the project, he was the only one who quoted me for the most comprehensive long-term solution at an extremely reasonable cost, and demonstrated thorough experience of what I should expect. We began the project right away. This was a 4 day job. It's an old house with the sewer line that was partially encased in very thick 12" slab of ultra-high psi concrete (poured in the 50s). Raul and Armani showed up day 1 with several trucks, a huge crew, and got to work immediately with jackhammers, a backhoe, new ABS sewer piping, and pipe liner hardware. They put up tarps to protect against dust, and went right to work. One of my concerns was that they had to dig in my garden as it was sitting right on top of my sewer cleanout... which has a bird of paradise that has been growing there for at least a decade. They actually managed to remove the plants, do all the work they needed to do, and replant them without over-stressing the plants... and it looks like the plants are doing great. Hardly even looks like they dug such a large hole in that area. As for the rest of the job, we ended up having to make a few audibles along the way because it was such a challenging dig - through no fault of their own of course, it's just an old house and there will always be surprises along the way - but Raul and Armani promptly came up with solutions that were not only the *right way* to do it, but also respected my budget. At the end, they hauled away all old debris and cleaned things up like they were never there. I'm extremely happy with the work. There was no way around this being an expensive project, that's just the nature of a total sewer replacement under such thick concrete, but because of their professionalism I truly felt heard, respected, and valued. And now my sewer should be good for another 70 years. I would recommend Raul and Armani and their Doctor Rooter organization to anyone who wants their sewer work done correctly and within budget. I highly recommend them.
