I bought a new fridge w an ice maker but the last time I had the waterline connected to a fridge was forever ago. So I knew I'd have to replace the hose and valve. I posted my project and yelp sent it out to 5 plumbers. 2 plumbers didn't do my kind of project. Of the remaining 3, Luis is the only one who gave me an immediate quote in our yelp messages. The other 2 scheduled in person consultations then took 1-4 days to send me the quotes. So, since Luis was first w his quote I wanted to do my due diligence and get the other 2 quotes. The quotes got progressively worse. The others quoted 3-4x as much for the same project! I hate it when service people try to take advantage of people. Everyone's gotta make a living but come on... I was actually shocked by the huge differences in pricing. But the highest quote also had the longest and most unnecessarily verbose contract. It's an ice maker people. It didn't even required a line to be plumbed. It was already there. One guy even claimed there's black mold and he'd have to completely gut the area under my sink and on and on. The nerve of these guys! Anyhoo, so once I had the fridge delivered I contacted him to schedule a time and he was able to come the next day. He said it'd be about 2-4 hours and I think he finished in under that time even w having to go to Home Depot to get parts. He even suggested that I put in a filter and showed me how to replace it when it's due in a year. I'm sure I'll forget by then tho :D Something extra was needed but he honored his quote without any fuss. So I just paid the extra for the filter parts and installation with no extravagant mark up. He cleaned up when he was done. Super efficient and professional. I think he has 1 bad review but I didn't give it any merit because I thought that his response was thorough and believable. I'm glad I didn't let her review sway me (I'm not easily swayed anyway lol). I would absolutely hire him again. I asked if he does electric work cuz I would've hired him for another project. I feel better knowing that he's a trustworthy plumber that I can call on when needed. read more

Had some old solar collectors on the roof that started to leak and needed them disconnected from the water heater. It was an odd job since solar collectors aren't very common and I didn't know who to call but I'm so glad I found Luis. He was quick and reliable and was able to bypass the collectors and reconnect the heater to the main water lines. I wanted to move the laundry hookups from my garage to an upstairs closet. All the other plumbers I contacted tried to talk me out of it or told me it would be a huge/expensive job that wouldn't be worth my while, all without even coming out to look at my house. Luis came out to my residence and did a poor job. He responded to me on Yelp and said he could come out that evening to perform a leak detection test . He quoted me a price of $250. When he got to my house he took out his leak detection stethoscope and assured me that the toilet was the culprit, so he cut open two of my walls and removed my toilet. After he cut the pipes to my toilet and sink, he proceeds to tell me he was incorrect and there is a leak in a different pipe So he ends up cutting all three of my pipes and caps only one. Which made my bathroom flood even more !! Ultimately preventing me from having cold water from the whole left side of my house for weeks. So he leaves my bathroom in complete disarray and not to mention, takes my water pipes with him !! He initially said he would charge $250 and tried to get $500 out of me for pipes he accidentally cut ! I asked him to come back and fix what he started and he never got back to me with a time he would come. I feel so taken advantage of! This was a complete nightmare.
