I really try to stay being a positive person, with a positive attitude but this unprofessionalism REALLY GOT TO ME. If I could give Urners NEGATIVE stars I definitely would. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! Receipts won't help you. I made a purchase with them and financed through Brand source. My original purchase was made in December and David from Urners failed to mention at purchase time the refrigerator I originally wanted was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. So I find out my refrigerator WASN'T what I ordered When Urners delivered. So I call and get the runaround for ALMOST 3WKS! Finally I was told the model I purchased was no longer being made and urners had no more. So I had to go in store to pick something else. By this time it is now January 8th,2020. I was told because of MISTAKE AND LONG WAIT TIME OF RESPONSE I would get free delivery and no extra charges. Come now May and I open my Brand source statement for April and I see a charge for $471.00. I IMMEDIATELY call brand source and they tell me to call Urners, so I do and FINALLY after 4days I speak with Quanesha from billing and accounting. She tells my purchase total on paper isn't correct and she thinks the charges came from Delivering/return/pickup. Which I was told by David because of the inconvenience everything would be handled and I wasn't going to get charged for their original mistake. My receipts are from December and January and Neither one of them show a charge for delivery or pickup or return/exchange. I'm so disappointed in Urners telling me my math was off, when everything is cleary on paper FROM THEIR END. Please remember these new charges are coming in APRIL when my final purchase was made in January. Urners has sent out confirmation of refund, along with $25.00 gift card to IN-N-OUT for the *inconvenience*. From original date of second purchase 01/08/2020 my refrigerator got here 2/15/2020. Finally their delivery people suck too. My refrigerator got a scratch when they were installing handles but I didn't make a big deal out of it because they PROCRASTINATE on basically everything and I was JUST HAPPY TO FINALLY RECEIVE MY REFRIGERATOR. read more

If Ghosting was a Store! One of the worst experiences buying a whole kitchen appliances package! Next month will Mark 1 year trying to get what I ordered. Once they get the payment the customer service is out the door, I have never tried chasing someone down so much in my entire life. Calling, nobody calls you back, txting their line, nobody knows and passes you off to someone else who will always call you back on Monday, Nobody ever does! Spending almost $7000 on my new refrigerator, range and dishwasher, didn't get me even basic customer service. Oh call the store manager, he won't return your calls either. At this point I am going to try and see if the manufacturer will help me since nobody at Urners will respond, all I ask is that i actually get the correct door brackets for my over $2k refrigerator, that I was supposed to get in 30 days. I've have the pandemic blamed, nobody knew if they were ordered, and now Ghosting, flat out ignoring my voice messages! We had an unfortunate situation with a washer/dryer that we purchased at Urners. I originally left a 1 star review and a very lengthy explanation. Since then, Urners has gone above and beyond to correct the situation. Since the original review was posted, Urners helped us to get our refund from Samsung for the broken washer and allowed us to exchange our (working) Samsung dryer for a dryer that matches the washer we purchased. We purchased this couch from the new location on calloway we have had it a little over a month ago all of children and a friends child have hurt themselves on the back of this couch or arm area. I have always purchased furniture from here and loved it in previous years this is the first issue I've had with quality from Urner's and this couch is made by Ashly. Do not purchase it if you have little ones my kids run and play and just coming around the corner grab the couch to stop and have busted there lips, hit there head really hard bad enough to leave a goose egg and even broken there toe nail in half corner of this couch. There is absolutely no padding on the frame of the couch! The fabric is just put on top of the wood you can feel that and see it when touched. It is extremely painful if you even bump into it with your knee let alone running full force as children do. I contacted Urner's and can not reach customer service at all the floor staff just said there's no returns or exchanges sorry. This is a extremely poor quality for a three thousand dollar couch!!! I can't believe this is the quality of furniture being sold at Urner's, I also noticed when it was delivered and we put it together that the legs of the couch are plastic not wood as they appear in the show room. Hopefully other family's don't purchase this couch and experience the same injuries I have with there toddlers. It's awful and I can't think of any way to prevent the injuries. Recently ordered a new washer online after my 6 year old Maytag died twice in the last year. Love my new GE washer and the fact it was in stock. Had to wait a few days for delivery as they were swamped and that's understandable, but to charge $99 for delivery, removal and install is pricey when you have to correct the work. My hot water line was connected to the cold line side. First few washes seemed awfully hot at the end of a cycle. Got to looking and sure enough, hoses were connected wrong. Urner's today is not the Urner's it was 20+ years ago. I hope the not so great reviews I've read serves as a lesson to improve in some areas. read more

We were in need of a range/oven. We went to Urners southwest. Sam was our sales associate. The process of ordering and paying for it was an easy process. I was told 7-10 days, 2 weeks at the most by him. Well come to find out I was not told the truth several times about the ETA and reason for the delay. I was given multiple excuses over and over and over each time I called to check the status. Come to find out the range/oven was NEVER even in stock it had been on back order since December. If I had been told that information from the beginning, I would have not ordered it. A month later I gave up and was dealing with the manager, who was very helpful. I was tired of wasting my time I asked for a refund. The refund has been processed just waiting for it to clear at this point. Terrible service I feel I was not told the truth from the beginning. The delivery came within the time stated however the delivery person, Alonzo, was rude from the get go and was only able to install my washer but not adjust the washer door. Alonzo clearly wasn't enthused to be delivering anything. Seems like the delivery and installation would include adjusting the door but alas, I am left to pursue another call and wait time to have my new washer in working order. My entire experience thus far as been poor, from the salesman (who was fired right after my purchase) to the manager (who was completely I accommodating) to the delivery. The sales man tyler. Was a Joke. I was not pleased with a price quote. When I told him I would like to speak to a manager he promptly informed me there was nothing a manager could do. I said" I want to speak the the manager." Tyler then mumbled under his breath something I couldn't hear because he had a mask on. This is our high end appliance store in Bakersfield. Yet it feels like they are incompetent and quite shady. I had them come up to check why my Subzero wine fridge was not cooling well and why the temperature was rising. The repair man said it would be $3000 to fix out of pocket. I was shocked and that is too much money. So I went online looked at common troubleshooting from the subzero site and it said to blow out the condenser area. I unscrewed the front grill and guess what - he hadn't even done that. So I did that with a can of $5 compressed air and viola my Subzero is once again working perfectly. So they get a one star for troubleshooting, a one star from mis-diagnosing, and a one star for not even doing a basic cleaning but still charging $140 for the visit. I won't even tell you about the Jenn-Air fridge fiasco. I will make sure to get stuff from LA and too bad Umer's has lost potential sales. read more

Be aware purchasing anything from Urner's please!! I recently purchased a dishwasher, took home, and put it in the hole where old one was prior. It sticks out way too far and can't even see the control buttons hardly to turn it on. I contacted several personally including salesman, and 2 supervisors from Wible and Calloway stores in Bakersfield. All employees informed me that there would be a re-stocking fee of $150 which is crazy that's almost half of what I paid for the appliance that hasn't been used. The receptionist who answered the phone put me on hold for several minutes after I specifically asked for to speak with manager. After waiting on hold several minutes she transferred me to the salesman who sold me my dishwasher, after stating he would be off until Thursday December 7th 2023. Just wanted to also add nobody was concerned about whether or not me and my wife were happy with the product. My salesman actually was really nice though so nothing against him, but to the store managers , why are you even a manager if you don't act like one and pride your business in customer service. What happened to the world where a business cared about there customers instead of just $. This is why Urner's is a multi million dollar company I guess. I guess they can't spare $150 even though I was going to upgrade to a more expensive unit. Lol that's ok I will be definitely taking my business somewhere else! When I get there, magically, they do not carry them but have a $299 alternative ready to sell me. Had great customer service in-store from Alan. He was knowledgeable and made the process effortless, even looking up features of another model I saw online to compare it with models on the sales floor. The ladies who I cashed out with were friendly and helpful with explaining the warranty plan. The delivery guys showed up on time, and there were two automated service calls to remind and confirm the time of their arrival. The guys were neat, friendly, and helpful with my questions. I shopped around at two Home Depot's, Best Buy, and Sears Outlet plus scoured several websites before purchasing my washer and dryer set. The prices at Urner's were almost exactly the same as Home Depot, but the service was 20 times better. Plus, with the warranty I purchased, I'll have service people from Urner's versus having to deal with the headaches of big corporations. Supporting local business and paying a few extra bucks for delivery and great service was definitely worth it in the end for me. Took the Urner's cooking class last night. Free to the public. You just need to register online so they can get a count. Chef Robert and his crew were knowledgeable and entertaining. Very informal, so you could ask questions or get up to see something up close. Chef Robert calls his classes "lazy cooking." Meaning using some preprepared items to speed things up. It was Mediterranean night last night. We got to watch and then taste hummus with crudités, tzatziki, herbed baked chicken, rice with vegetables and baked apple with ice cream. The whole time, Chef Robert and his crew chatted with us, explained things and kept us up on their preparations. Really fun and interesting. Might have to go again. read more

My husband and I recently remodeled our kitchen. Urner's cabinet division was fantastic in designing our kitchen layout. Since we removed the center island and added a peninsula, it involved some extra changes. Ernie was very knowledgeable and patient to work with. He had great ideas and incorporated our ideas also. We also got all our appliances from Urners as well. Dana was wonderful in helping us pick out our appliances. The entire project took 7 weeks from demolition to appliance installation. We are so happy with the way our new kitchen turned out!! The cabinet installers were contractors we found to do the remodel and they were pleasantly surprised at the quality of cabinet that was delivered. All hard wood...no particle board. Urners cabinet division is worthy of the Urner's name and can be trusted give you quality products at fair prices read more

It pains me to write this review. I have purchases tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise from this company and had many good experiences. I have unfortunately now had a very poor customer service experience with several individuals over a recent purchase that was damaged upon delivery. They offered to try again and the second item was also damaged. I called a week ago immediately after I refused delivery to request a refund. After a week, I called back today and was told it would be another week. No manager would speak with me despite multiple calls to sales and accounting. Now they can deal with my credit card company. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! I would of never of known such a simple appliance such as a gas stove top was going to be the most difficult task of my life here in Bakersfield. I have went to every place in Northwest Bakersfield that sells them only to get snake bit every time. From Lowes lying to me, to Home Depot (at least they were honest) and told me I have to wait a few months, to Best Buy just zero &@&#s given and a few other places as well. Anyways, one day, after two months trying to get a stove top, we were headed to Urners, only to get snake bitten again but not by Urners but by criminals. We exited the 99 and see a car being chased by the BPD. We didn't witness it but it crashed into the intersection of White Lane and Wible Rd. The intersection was closed off. I had to make a U-turn and head on back home feeling defeated by a gas stove. Just my rotten luck. I said to myself I'll try again tomorrow. Tomorrow came around and this time succeeded getting to Urners. We were greeted by Sam. He made the process of getting a stove so easy. We picked the one we wanted but it was just a few centimeters big. The installers told us they have a similar model that will fit perfectly. So I went back to Sam and got the model that fit and was installed with no problems. They traded off on the details of what each had to do. There was never a mistake, never upset. Wow!!! I was hung up on twice today and interrupted and treated horribly by not only a representative but by a manager. We have been trying to get someone on the phone for a year and figure out why our old washer and dryer were not picked up when our new ones were installed and delivered and they keep giving us the run around and now they are saying it is chargeable. Why would it be chargeable if they didn't initially do it? I left two messages with a customer service manager. Does anyone have the phone number for the owner? I've purchased a number of items from Urner's over the years. You just cannot best their level of service and integrity. Most recently we had our refrigerator fail right in the middle of this Covid-19 shutdown. I made a call to Urner's and reached Jennifer who sent me a number of options via email to review. There was no pressure on the sale, she was just concerned about making sure we were happy. Jennifer has great advice and helped us find the matching model and handles to the rest of our Kitchen appliances. We asked for full service delivery and for the bad refrigerator to be hauled off. Jennifer scheduled the delivery and made sure everything we asked about hauling off the old unit was noted -- Jennifer also expedited the order and delivery for us. Two gentleman delivered our new fridge and they were extremely courteous and very careful not to damage our floors or cabinetry while removing the old and the installing the new. They connected the water lines, used a special floor protector mat when sliding it into place, and installed the water filter, removed all packing materials, and then gave us a quick run down on how to change the filter and adjust the settings on the fridge. You just don't find customer service like this anymore. From the initial call to the delivery this was a first class experience and they're service is consistently this good! We had great experiences with our other appliances Urner's has installed for us over the years. Highly recommend Urner's! read more

I purchased a refrigerator from here exactly 2 years ago this month. When I purchased the refrigerator, I received a 10 year warranty and purchase the extended five year warranty. In May 2023 my icemaker and freezer stopped working. I contacted the extended warranty they sent somebody out I was told it was fixed. I went buy groceries to only wake up in the morning and everything was melted. I then again contacted the extended warranty they sent someone out again and I was told I'd be contacted once the parts were ready 2 to 3 weeks go by I hear nothing so I called the appliance repair company and was told they're waiting for the approval from the warranty company the warranty company tells me they never received anything from the appliance company. I wait again another two weeks contact the appliance company and I'm told they have not received the approval still I then file a Better Business Bureau complaint against the warranty company and them contacted the next day. I am told they will only refund me the amount of the refrigerator not the sales tax not the shipping not the warranty contract and not the installation fee. I then contact urners and I'm told they can do nothing for me. I need to deal with the warranty company. How is this fair? I have gone almost 2 months without a freezer or icemaker. I have kids i work full-time and go to school full-time. I don't have enough time to go to the grocery store every day to buy something to make for dinner. I paid $2700 for a refrigerator to break two years later. I'm a single parent who purchased a refrigerator. I do not have enough money to pay sales tax again on another refrigerator that broke not at my fault or to pay the shipping on another refrigerator or to pay the installation fee on another refrigerator. I did not break this refrigerator. Why am I having to pay the fees again? read more
