We went in o New Year's Eve in search of something special and I was so thrilled to find a beautiful desk and some smalls. This shop is an ever changing, eclectic, and fun mix of antique and vintage styles with with some special new items mixed in as well. There are specialty paint and mold/stencil dealers too. I was offered help numerous times and assisted loading my desk. Very pretty store that has a lot to see. Being a coffee and plan to browse slowly. Timeless furnishing is exactly that, timeless! Love this place, you can truly get lost in here for hours. I only shop for my home and gifts as I love "vintage" items, I am not a true antique shopper so I don't have expertise in that area. However, how it works is that each section in the building has its own vendor, thus, you are filled with a lot variety and different styles. They have little Knick knacks, dishwater, as well as furniture, all in all, a great place. Would definitely not pass it by! I find that the vendors adjust their inventory based on the time of year so that is always fun! Staff was very helpful when I had all my questions, just a piece of joy altogether! read more

There is Free Parking right out in front. This place is Huge with Oodles & Oodles of Retro Furnishings, Memorabilia & all kinds of Cool Stuff. They even have Artificial Vintage Christmas Trees in here. This used to be an old Brock's Department Store. Maybe you'll get Lucky & even find a vintage Decoration or piece to add to your Holiday Christmas tree or Holiday Display. There's so much Great Stuff in here that harkens you back to an easier time & life. There is so much Eye Candy in Timeless Furnishings, it will have your head spinning. What's cool about coming here to Bakersfield is that you don't visit just one shop for an hour or so you can make an entire day out of it for very little cash. Also you have to go right around the corner & dine at the last Woolworth's Luncheonette Counter in the whole USA in an old Woolworth's Department store. My daughter and I had a wonderful time roaming through this place. There are so many fun things to choose from.

Stopped in yesterday to kill some time waiting for my husband. I have never been in this store l, so I had no idea what to expect. It has two levels of different booths to shop. All with different vendors. Such a wide variety of styles, eclectic, retro, modern, or country. I think you could basically find whatever your looking for. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just cruising. But if I need a gift or something different than your average chain stores, I would come here. Prices weren't to high on most things. But of course each vendor sets their own price. I didn't venture up to the second level because it was extremely hot in there. Definitely no air conditioning, when you walk in to the right is a huge industrial fan that feels good while you are right there but once you walk away it's HOT. I shop better when I am cool and comfortable. I read a couple reviews about customer service, I didn't receive any. Nobody greeted me, In fact I didn't see an employee or where you even pay. But again I wasn't looking for anything special or out to buy anything at that moment so I wasn't looking for anyone to help me. read more

Nice clean organized antique shop with some good pieces & helpful knowledgeable staff would definitely recommend if in the area.

I give them two stars because they have a few quality pieces of furniture. Unfortunately, the quality pieces are interspersed with Pier One and Cost Plus pieces, purchased used and marked as vintage, and with a hefty markup. I went in today and found a pair of coffee tables, marked as modern, one with damage to the top. The price? $100. The bad part is, they still had their IKEA sticker on the underside. They're LACK tables, sold brand new for the bargain price of 9.99. Of course, they're missing the scratches and uneven finish that mark them as vintage, but I'm sure a couple of hours with a few toddlers and some tools will give the same effect. I don't understand their pricing, and feel that the majority of the items they sell are overpriced for the quality. read more

Went in on Sunday...agree there is a lot of shabby chic items marked with high prices. Not antique/genuinely aged. I found a few interesting things but most were marked "NFS." The worst was...and get this: we found a plastic resin dish the size of a cereal bowl ($22), a fishing reel ($20), a 6" pot ($20), and a small Fiestaware vase ($25). When the slow as molasses cashier lady was done lounging, she begins to ring up our things, but has a girl about 12 years old begin to take all the tags off...she takes a pair of metal scissors to the plastic dish and begins to scrape the tag off the front that's hermetically sealing the handwritten price tag. I say um, I'll do it, it's going to get scratched. I start to look to see if it's already been damaged and it looks ok. Then 12 year old puts her hand out and asks for it back because she wants to keep going at it with scissors and I say, no, it's going to get damaged and then you can keep it. My husband starts to take off the other items' tags because adult cashier is chatting with others (non customers) and so this is who we've got as a check out person...a 12 year old. We finish up and adult says "have a better day." I said I don't appreciate that comment. Adult says, you didn't have to be rude to 12 yr old. I say this is a business, little girl didn't do anything wrong, YOU did. Do your job. What would your vendors say if they knew you were taking scissors to a $22 cereal bowl and ruining it causing loss of sales? Adult says you have to cut her some slack, she's a little girl and I was going to give her a talking to after you left, but you're rude. I say I'll go ahead and call the business tomorrow and see if little girl is on the payroll, you want me to accommodate her so much, someone who shouldn't be handling sales/check out at all. Adult says she's not on the payroll, she's volunteering. What a joke. Folks, my experience is the staff is lazy and rude and this store is not run like a business. Go around the corner to the Woolworths business which has junior folks roaming and asking politely if they can take your things up front for you while you keep shopping. Then when you are ready to check out, they courteously handle your items and send you on your way. They fully realize they are peddling overpriced things to a narrow market of customers willing to pay said prices and are grateful for your business...and handle you in a business like manner. I was a vendor there and they let people rip off my stuff, Don, one of the store clerks intentionally changed prices on my items and sold $200 worth of pictures for $5.00. Then, I had furniture upstairs and because the elevator didn't work, I was never able to get it. I bought some crystal items there from another vendor only to find out later there were hidden defects that were glued together. Rip off all the way around. Beware. read more

This place is pretty fantastic. You have so many vendors with styles from shabby chic to French country to old Americana to retro. In general, I feel their prices are fair - but keep in mind there are many vendors and each vendor sets their own prices. There are rotating sales and many vendors are negotiable with prices. You can also get supplies for upcycling your own pieces - chalk paint, resin appliqués, etc. read more

Huge store! Mostly filled with shabby chic / French country type of stuff. There were a couple of Mid Century Modern dealers with some really cool things offered at fairly reasonable prices. I did notice that some of the furniture pieces offered had damage like water rings and surface scratches, yet they were priced as high end. There are good deals to be had here if you take your time. Went in today for the first time, it is an amazing store. The merchandise is beautiful and the items are clearly marked. The staff were all cheerful and eger to answer our questions and help us navigate thru the store. They checked on us and the conversations were not forced, as if they knew you.. We went thru the whole store and then we picked our pieces to purchase. My neighbor and I will be returning many times. We have had a horrible experience with another local antique store, Glamatic, but today at Timeless totally made up for it. Don't miss out on this amazing store and it's friendly staff.. I was in Timeless Furnishings last week and was astounded at the deals I found. First of all I was amazed at the looks of the store. It was beautiful. Very clean and well organized with each section displayed professionally. I was truly impressed. Whoever owns this store is on the right track to accomplish a good shopping experience for the customer. I also needed to use the restroom and was directed to a very clean facility. I have been in so many other stores and told no public restroom! Really, what are you suppose to do but leave and not go back. The merchandise is high quality but right on budget for anyone!!!! I found the perfect vase for $7.00 and a bed that I have been looking for for months at the right price with a small margin for even less. The staff was friendly and helpful. I dealt with a girl named Julie who had a space there but directed me to other vendors for what I was looking for. I thought that to be so fair as I have found in the past at other stores they try to keep you in their space only. The store is extremely large so pack a lunch cause there are treasures to be found in every corner!! I now make this a once a week adventure and find no need to go to commercial stores like kohls, home goods, etc to find the decor I want for my home. I would highly recommend a shopping experience at Timeless Furnishings. Kudos to the review on 12/4/14, as we had a similar experience. It was so cold in the store, I had regretted not wearing gloves and a scarf and a heavier coat. Being so cold made it difficult to walk the whole store without freezing. We did find something we wanted to purchase, but there was no staff to ask to help us. The piece of furniture that we wanted to look at had a bunch of other items all over it that needed to be moved so we could really look at it. We moved a couple little things but then decided to try to get some help. There was a lady at the front area who was assisting the cashier with something, and "she" asked us if we needed help and went with us to the item we were looking at. She had her own space there as a vendor. She moved the items for us and chatted about the piece, then she helped us carry it to the check out and gave the cashier the tag and told her we were purchasing it. So then we had to wait behind a couple customers and listen to the "rude" cashier repeat loudly personal information regarding their purchase. We had to listen to the cashier on the phone discussing personal business in front of us in a rude manner. And then when it was our turn, she didn't even remember why we were standing in front of her and had been for ten minutes. She was very rude and unfriendly. Other than the vendor that helped us initially mentioning she thought the store had a hand-cart, no one asked us if we needed help carrying our item out of the store or loading it in our vehicle, opening the door for us as we were carrying it our ourselves or have a nice day! There was no staff! There are a lot of nice items in this store, but the owner needs to have better customer service in place. With a store so large, there should be recognizable staff available to assist with any questions, not another vendor who is renting a booth that is helping the customer with a different vendor's items. With two negative reviews in two weeks, obviously something needs to change!!!! read more
