DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!! Completely unprofessional, BEWARE. They did a terrible job, and made a dent in the sink they installed and did not even mention it. They knew about the dent and tried to hide it. The caulking was also a disaster. They left a mess and did not clean up before leaving. They also didn't turn the water tightly shut enough and caused the water to leak and in the middle of the night came down stairs to find a large portion of the dry wall from the ceiling collapsed and ruined the entire carpet in the basement and our new furniture. We called them the next day to let them know and they responded that they did not cause the leak even though it is very clear that they did. I wish I never hired them. The project manager I spoke to on the phone, Jamal, was rude and very unprofessional. I would never recommend them! If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

Wow, I haven't felt this disrespected in a long time. I selected this place because of their rave reviews. I asked to have someone come out to give a written estimate. Natalie told me Josh would be here during a certain timeframe. Near the end of that timeframe, I called to ask if he'd be late. Yes, he would -- he was on another job. No big deal -- so I waited. And waited. And waited. And at 5pm I called to ask if he was still coming. Turns out they decided earlier that day that he wouldn't be coming, and *they didn't call me.* So I ask if I can reschedule. Jan tells me they can, but they won't give me a written estimate only a verbal one. And I asked if they could give me a written analysis of the crack in my granite (I'm pursuing a warranty claim with the MD Attorney General), but she said no. I said that's fine to both, and I suggested I just send her the measurements via email rather than have someone come out (thus saving me another day of sitting at home when I could've been at work). Jan's tone becomes increasingly disrespectful: "well, I don't want you to email us measurements unless you're serious about using us." Okay...why do you think I'm calling you seeking an estimate?! So I let her know that I didn't think a business arrangement was going to work for us. The lack of customer service values from the beginning of the process was alarming. I learned awhile ago that you can tell a LOT about a contractor by how they start the business relationship. She suggested I contact Solid Rock (La Plata) or European Granite (Clinton) instead. So since that's who US Granite recommended, that's who I recommend instead of them, too. **UPDATE** After I posted this and received the response below (which could have just said "we're sorry we made you wait all day and didn't follow up with you"), I received several spam comments and ad hominem attacks on my personal blog site from someone associated with the company: "jhos" at coskunuslutr@hotmail.com. So, fellow consumers be warned. This company not only lacks in customer service but also engages in vindictive actions if you take issue with their service. read more

Workmanship good. Mike, customer service, very nice and issues resolved timely. Issue 1: when installers moved gas stove, forgot to plug in electrical outlet. Plumber came next day and resolved. Issue 2: when installers removed old countertop, saw dust fell to all lower cabinets. No one explained process to remove all lower countertop items. Installers came back to clean up dust. Issue 3: Everyone explained that a plumber required to install new kitchen faucet, so added to budget. No one explained that garbage disposal was going to be dis-assembled and had to pay plumber to reinstall. read more

The installation of the granite was OK. However, consumers need to be aware that they employ staff that will state they are a plumber when they are not licensed or bonded as such. When I filed a complaint about the glue left all over a very expensive under the counter mat & my kitchen floor I was told by the manager that the employee wasn't a plumber and he wouldn't guarantee anything he did but would get back to me - I'm still waiting.....I paid good money for this work only to have HOURS of clean up afterwards. I also had to report theft of some property of mine. While I did get a replacement, it is the simple matter of having to report something that shouldn't have occurred. My advice - find another location for your granite work! read more

Great countertops great price. BUT.... That said, I did not love the installer. The first installation took less that 15 minutes. The installation was not great and the next morning, a crack showed up over the dishwasher. When I emailed, they told me that it was a seam. They promised to be there that day. They did not show up and I waited all day for them. They called late in the day and said they would be by between 9 and 10 in the morning with "the boss." When they came out to examine the "seam" it was not the boss. They told me it was a crack and accused me of "jumping on the countertop." I had to wait until the boss showed up to again get told, I must have broken them. These accusations really upset me. Later that day they called and told me they would replace the countertop but had to order the material. When they returned to remove the countertops with less than 15 minutes notice, they just opened the door and walked in. The installer the installer was extremely rude to my general contractor shoving his equipment and tools on the ground. He once again accused me of breaking the countertop. He ripped out the wall where my general contractor had fixed the damage needed to install the countertop. When he removed the sink, he broke the cutoff valve and told me that I would be without water because I had to cut the water off to the house to stop the leak. I called in a plumber to fix the damage so that we would have running water elsewhere in the house. When they returned with the new countertops, it was verbal abuse all over again. The installer could not be more rude. He again accused me of breaking the countertop. He did not want to make an effort to make the epoxy seams match and did not want to level the countertops. I insisted that the countertops were level with no ledges between the seams. I was not happy with his attitude and wanted to talk to "the boss." I was told that "the boss" would be by later that day. He did not show up. Two days later, they showed up with no notice. I was again accused of breaking the countertop. I was told they "lost money" and it was my fault. Bottom line... good price, good countertops... but awful customer service. read more

Price was competitive but experienced many issues with the installation - caulking not done correctly, granite edges were not cut/polished consistently across job, some installers were argumentative, unprofessional and rude and did not clean up afterwards. Caulking issue was corrected with additional visit. Lots of other installers I have used but would not use these guys again. read more

I called the company for an estimate to install granite countertops and Jamal a very nice gentleman came out and wrote up the estimate and gave me the costs for A or B grade granite for my kitchen countertops. So on Saturday 2/17/18 my wife and I visited the showroom in Waldorf for a noon appointment with Micheal. We decided on the Solarius granite for our kitchen countertops and the price was higher than the granite in the estimate. Micheal told me he gave us a discount on the granite, but after reviewing the pricing I realized Micheal had only implied a discount on the granite but raised the cost of the miscellaneous items by the same amount of $200. So on 2/19/18 I called Micheal to correct the costs, he gave me the run around and the issue wasn't resolved. So I chose not to do business with US Granite because of poor customer service by Micheal on both occasions over a $200 discrepancy. Chose another company to install my beautiful granite countertops, excellent customer service and better pricing for the same grade of granite. read more

The installation was great, the contractors were very nice and quick, very nice guys!!!!! The salesmen Mike was a very nice young man, very helpful, very nice customer service!!!!!!! I am a person that is very big on customer service and believe that customers should always be treated very courteously when spending their money whether it's $1 or $6000. With that being said I spent $6000, I had some questions about some additional fees that appeared on my statement and called back to get an explanation about the charges, the person I spoke with was very defensive and kept trying to change the subject when I was just trying to get a better understanding of the additional fees. The charges were legitimate but the person I spoke with act as though he was offended I ask him about the additional money. They need to train their account staff to be more customer oriented. Home remodeling is not cheap and if people decide to spend their money at your business you should give them the best experience possible no matter what their questions are. They are just questions! I was going to get my backsplash done by them but have now decided not to give them anymore of my business because of this experience. It's really unfortunate because I had a lot of work that I needed done in my home and I thought that I finally found my go to place, but I'm big on customer service and this experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I would not use this company. The granite showed up and the edges of the granite were so much lightener than the granite we ordered. Apparently this is normal for some stones but the salesman and the owner who came out to measure never told us about this. The installers made a huge mess (I had to wash every dish, pot, pan, Tupperware, in the cabinet). I also had to pick up a lot of small pieces of granite they left in the grass as well as 2 razors blades they left in my driveway. When I called the store someone who said he was a manager said they could fix the edges but I'd have to pay for it. I finally talked to the owner who sent someone out and applied something to darken the edges just a little. He said he didn't like that product and would come over for a 4th visit from this company but never showed and didn't respond to my texts. For all this trouble I still have counters with lighter edges and they gave me less than a 3% refund. Don't use this company!! read more

Terrible customer service! Us granite marble was easy to work with initially but our granite Installation took much longer than anticipated and was very sloppy! I was promised that someone would come back and fix the issues, torn up drywall, and very sloppy seams. I made final payment based on the promise of the issues being fixed, but after they received payment...radio silence. I can't get us granite marble to return my calls or respond to my multiple emails! I would not recommend us granite marble for granite installation. Not a good experience! read more
