I have been in my flipped home for 7 years and wanted a kitchen remodel that was a bit more complicated that I would have liked. Alex handled everything. The project required plumbing, electrical, new countertop, cutting old countertop, and adding cabinetry. It was a lot of components. I did not have to worry about any of it. Alex came and we talked through what I wanted, talked through what the project would entail, he drew up an estimate, I paid the deposit, and we set the start date. The project took less than two weeks. They were very communicative, on time, and thorough. Once all was said and done, I did not have to do anything. No paint touch-ups, fixing a baseboard... nothing. I just had to decide where to put my coffee maker. On top of that, the quality of the cabinets installed are superb. There is a stark difference in the quality between my old cabinets (which was a flip) and the new cabinets. They are solid and durable. United Carpet refinished my hardwood floors the first time in 2022. The first crew that did them did a horrible job, so I had to call them back because lots of spots in my hardwood floors weren't done. This took them almost a year of constant calling for them to finally come in 2023. They sent out somebody to fix what the first crew screwed up and this person actually made it worse. Then I called again and they sent another person to fix the floor for a second time. Guess what? They did the same and never managed to fix the issues. They finally figured out that they had to refinish the floor completely and the person they (Lee Floors) sent took over three weeks to complete (so we thought) the job. After a few days of the floor drying, we noticed a lot of patches that were not done. So after multiple phone calls to United carpet and Lee Floors for them to come fix our floors my calls were ignored by both United carpet and Lee Floors. I sent them multiple text messages and even went over there personally several times and was ignored every single time fast-forward to 2025 and my floors are still incomplete. read more

I recently had my kitchen remodeled by United Carpet, Floors, Kitchen and Bath and am very, very pleased with my new kitchen. The process took about five weeks from the first meeting with Alex to the final inspection. Anytime I had a question or a problem, I would call Alex, the salesman, he patiently listened and then Felix, the contractor, would stop by my house to discuss my problem. Everything, the cabinets, countertops and backsplash, were completed to my satisfaction. The workers cleaned up everyday, they did not leave a mess for the next day, were very efficient and courteous. When I first met with Alex, he told me he would give me the kitchen I wanted, and he was true to his words. sorry but this experience has taught me cheap is not the way to go. had whole bathroom done, had issues from start, took longer than expected, shoddy material was used, they don't give you any detail of what will be used, except for the ones u pick out, showed up with cheap shower head, n I talked after I told them no. after they were done had to call them back, they installed the shower control incorrectly, couldn't turn it for hot water, not sure why they left knowing it didn't work, they came back n had to cut through my closet to fix it, the pipe was put in incorrectly, it was loose, when I asked for fix they just put the calulk on it vice taking it out and righting it. my tub, since my kids mostly used it I didn't realize it wasn't installed properly, soon as I stepped in creaking noise, they were supposed to come add foam never came, the sink faucet handles came loose within months, never came to fix it. now icing on the cake the floors that are waterproof have come off, they r literally raising up, coming off my floor. am just soo sad read more

I was very satisfied with this company. I called and set up an appointment to get an estimate on two rooms upstairs for carpet. They came on time to give me an estimate and showed me different carpet and explained why one was better then the other. The estimate was to my liking and they ordered the carpet and set up another appointment to install. They came when they said they would and installed beautiful carpet. They were fast and did a wonderful job. I would recommend them for carpet to anyone who needs it. read more

They completely wasted my time by coming out to assess two bathrooms to be remodeled and no will not return my call. The estimator Mike said he would have a quote in two weeks. Dont be fooled by a smile and smooth talking I went into store to look at Acacia hardwood, had salesperson bring samples to my home to check color. Let me first point out that the samples looked better (thicker, more detailed and natural wood look and lighter) than what was delivered (stained unnatural engineered wood). Their practice of sending two people to home to remove carpet and padding first before product arrives is one way they force you to have to continue with the install. Then the floors arrived (instead of unloading all of the boxes in plain site (should have been 13 boxes total, they only had 12) Salesperson was called and stated in terms of color and product, that it would lighten after 3 months once it settles and receives light and assured me it was the same quality as the sample shown, although i feel otherwise and very skeptical. So here we are 3 hours into the install and everything stops because they dont have enough product on site (Time is money). Salesperson comes to site and tells contractors to make it work somehow. So i am feeling even more skeptical thus i go online to pull up the information from the boxes on the flooring to look at cost and specs (which wasnt provided during initial order to me. Basically I was over charged over $1,000 for the product alone then labor was more than the total for the product. Overall price is higher than if i would have went with Lunar or Empire for the same quality product (would have received more flooring with Lunar and it would have cost me $900 less with install for the same wood). I would recommend going with Lunar and saving some money or better yet Lowes or some other hardwood distributor and hire installers for an even bigger savings. I feel ripped off. Lets see how i feel when they finally complete the job. read more

I have just used this company for carpet and hard laminate flooring. The employees that did the hard laminate flooring did an awesome job, but the carpet installers left very much to be desired. Needless to say I would not use this company again for anything. Michael was good to meet with us to begin the process then when we had problems, he was not even kind enough to come or call to address the situation. They were suppose to return and change the transition strips and provide me with the warranty documents for the flooring and that was a week ago. I would never recommend this company to anyone. He is not trustworthy. read more

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of hiring United Carpet, Floors, kitchen and Bath of Waldorf, MD to remodel my kitchen. In hind sight, I found that the owner was not truthful or honest in what was included in the upgrade, which excluded my option to go elsewhere. I was told by the owner, before signing the contract, not to worry he knew and would provide everything needed for the job, I ended up with poor quality cabinets and doors without knobs. For example, with the exception of one wooden and two glass shelves, all shelves had rough edges and some cabinets had scratches and chips. The owner also stated repeatedly until the day after my last payment, knobs would be put on. However, I thought the employees had done a good job considering what they had to work with. But later, I noticed my kitchen windows had been painted shut, and the connection under the sink had leak water down to the basement. Lesson learned. In my next $21,000.00 plus upgrades, the contract will reflect everything to the last nail, and I will reserve my evaluation until all facets are considered. I will not recommend or used this company again. So beware !!!! before selecting this company to do your upgrade. read more

We recently decided to renovate our home by expanding the powder room to include a shower and convert the library room to a bedroom. After gathering several consults, we decided on United Carpets. Their selection of materials needed to convert the powder room (tile, faucets, new toilet bowls, etc) was extensive and included a variety of qualities. They were most helpful in helping select and match materials while staying within budget. Most impressive was the construction crew foreman (Felix M.), who incorporated structural and material changes even after some of the work had been done. The crew always conducted themselves in a polite, cordial professional manner. Kevin, the project manager and Felix ensured that everything was completed to our satisfaction. I will seek out United Carpets for future projects and recommend the company to my friends. read more

DO NOT!! Let these people do work for you. We had them install carpet and refinish our hardwood floors. The process was disorganized. They are difficult to contact. The work was HORRIBLE!!! They made a small hole in the wall, They did not use near enough polyurethane so 18 months later our hardwood floors have areas that the stain has come off of. The Mowhawk Carpet has strands coming up. We have been in this house for 10 years and 9 of those years were with builder's grade Berber which our two Boxers did not harm at all. But somehow this carpet that the salesman assured us would be better than the Berber is failing. After several phone calls Mike came out and was here about 5 minutes saying it was all the dogs. He is not responding to messages and refuses to do anything to help. read more
