Sent them an email... I was looking for a small piece of Carrera marble. They sent me back a picture of what they had, and it looked good. I sent them the dimensions, a picture of the corners and cut of the existing marble. Two days later, I picked it up. Easy, peasy. Very easy company and crew to deal with. I selected this company due to the good reviews found online. We requested an in home estimate for the installation of a quartz countertop in the kitchen of a home we has just purchased. I will not call the individual who came to our home a sales person because they did not know how to sell. To be a good sales person you need to establish rapport (you are in someone else's home after all), be knowledgeable and explain the benefits of the various options, and upsell as much as you can. None of this was done by the person who came by. He did not greet us by name, explain why we should go with the higher priced option, or suggest a good color. His English was also somewhat weak. The price quoted was quite a bit lower than Lowe's so we decided to go ahead. When installation day came they were one hour late before they called to reschedule. The appointment was then changed until the afternoon and they were then again late. When they left there was still a piece of the backsplash missing. Another appointment was made and they come out and installed the missing piece. In doing so they damaged our drywall requiring a repair job. read more

I just knocked down a wall in my new property between the kitchen and the living room so, I needed a piece of slab to match my current counter top for the new raised bar section. I came across Merrifield Granite and Marble while driving around and decided to read the reviews on Yelp. They sounded helpful so I walked in. After waiting for a total of 5 minutes, I decided to stand directly in front of their window leading to the warehouse to get someones attention, finally after a couple more minutes of standing there and waving a gentleman noticed me and entered the office. I explained to him my project and he helped me pick out a stone that was almost an exact match. I didn't need a whole slab for my project so he promised that he would look in their warehouse to find a piece that would fit my project and would contact me. Day's passed and I didn't hear from him. Finally a week later he contacted me and asked if I was ready for him to visit the site for measurements. I refreshed his memory of our previous conversation where he again promised to check his warehouse and contact me. A few more days go by and I didn't hear anything. Finally he text me and said he wanted to come out so I responded back to his text message and informed him that I would take off Friday for him to stop by at any time. I finished working at the house around 5:30 and he still hadn't contacted me or shown up so I sent him a text to explain that I was leaving, his response "I'm at the warehouse and was planning on meeting you at 6 p.m." ??? I was a little upset that he didn't reach out to me all day, I wouldn't have taken an entire day off to wait for him to meet me at 6 p.m. He was then supposed to meet me the following Tuesday after 4th of July and till this day I still have not heard back from him. I'm not certain how their business works but I was able to contact another Marble company who met with me the same day I contacted them, showed me their marble, confirmed that they didn't have the piece and so I decided to get an entire new slab to renew the kitchen and all of my bathrooms :) I wouldn't recommend this company but you may have better luck with them. There are very few contractors that were so awesome that I wished I had more work for them--but this is one of them. I was converting a desk into a powder room vanity. There were some tricky cuts needed and I specifically wanted a slightly thinner quartz as the desk was not heavy looking and I felt that a thick piece of stone would overpower the piece. I went to many showrooms. Most couldn't do the cuts and wanted to do it straight across, others only had the thick marble and quartz. Full disclosure, I had a kitchen and bathroom remodeled by Merrifield over 3 years ago. I have an 800 square foot condo, so the fact that it took them THREE MONTHS to do the work was alarming to begin with. The kicker has been the discovery over the past three years of how poorly the work was done. To be perfectly honest, I was desperate to move into my place so I told them to just finish it. What a mistake! What drove me to the Yelp review was my experience today. My toilet suddenly started gushing water out of the back. I had a plumber come, (after hours), to check it out. Apparently when they installed the floor, they put it over the original floor, causing the pipe for the toilet to be too short. Rather than installing the correct flange, they put in two wax rings that finally broke down and caused the leak. But, over the past few years, the water has been leaking under the tile causing mold and a pretty terrible smell. This was the final straw. Shoddy work, terrible customer service. Stay away from this company!!! read more

I am sorry to say I do not think this company is honest. As soon as they finished installing the countertops I immediately noticed stains when I set anything on them, food, or otherwise. After coming out twice to look at the countertops and reseal, the manager said to give it some time, but that he would replace them (not sure what the lag time was meant to do, but I went along). Now he has refused to contact me. The sad thing is he knew they were inferior because he said at the time that he would replace them, but good luck getting a call back once your final check is with them. The prices are low because the materials they use are inferior in my opinion, and the company is aware of this. So I feel that they got the sale, but I got countertops that I can set nothing on. And after shopping around for many months, not what I was hoping for. Wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

Merrifield Granite and Marble gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and included a huge sink and the plumbing hook-up...for $3000. My kitchen looks spectacular. Merrifield Granite was recommended by a good friend about 2 months ago. I spent months on researching for good price on the granites I wanted around town...so decided to use them. Aynga was very helpful and professional. Like every one out there not everyday I pick out granite. I told him what I wanted, a white slab granite with minimal exclusions n how I wanted my cut and he delivered. Once you picked out what you wanted the job was fast.( about 2 weeks) I have to say I love my kitchen!! The reason why I gave only 4 stars was they cut the hole for my countertop inside the house which caused a lot of dusts all over the house. I spent days cleaning it up. I don't know if it is safe for my kids to be breathing it either because the workers wore masks to protect themselves. We have used Merrifield Granite on two separate occasions for kitchen remodels. The first time was for a granite install. The pricing was extremely reasonable, the crew was prompt and professional and the installation went incredibly smooth without any issues. Munkh's expertise was paramount in helping us to create a custom build-out of our existing island. As a satisfied customer, we again turned to Merrifield for a second kitchen remodel, this time with quartz. After being told by our general contractor it was not possible to have a mitred counter on our island, we turned to Munkh. Munkh was able to instruct us on how to create the necessary base on top of the cabinets to support the mitred counters. The quartz we choose is a high quality and we still cant stop looking at it with admiration after two months since the install date. In addition to the high quality stone, the company has exceptional customer service, were excellent with the installation and, for those price sensitive buyers such as myself, had the lowest price.
