The owner came out the next day to speak about a replacement unit for the furnace. No pressure but many options. We also discussed a new AC since they were the same age. A week later new units were installed. They were experiencing some issues with pictures and communications, but kept in constant contact. The 2 techs who worked on the installation were so professional. They asked about music playing and using a bathroom. They insisted on wearing booties over their shoes even though I was not concerned in the least. It was like they were working in their own home to be honest. I don't know where they may rank on price, but my experience was well with it. We pay for quality even if not the cheapest. I look forward to renewing my annual service contract. I looked up the part which was around $180, meaning they were charging $800 an hour. The big name company with fancy commercials on TV And took monthly service amounts to "make it easier" for me. 2 years ago they said that I needed to replace my ENTIRE air conditioning unit that they had been servicing for almost 10 years. The unit was only 11 years old at that point. They tried to sell me a new one for $9k !!!! I decided to get a second opinion and had 3 different companies come to check the unit. THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. They said someone had loosen up a valve and all the antifreeze was gone. Needless to say I was almost the victim of fraudulent business practices.
