Showed me how my system had froze up and recharged the frion. My system is original to my house almost 20 years old. He didn't try to sell me a new AC unit, rather he fixed what was needed and told me it was still working well and so long as it was, it didn't need to be replaced. I've been using Metro for several years. When I moved in to my current home I was new to the Powell area and wasn't familiar with any local HVAC companies. I tried a couple of the bigger ones but wasn't happy with the sales tactics, prices or service. I got Metro's info from a friend in the area and haven't looked back since. The prices are fair and the service is excellent. Over the years I've had my AC and furnace replaced and maintained by them, their prices have been much cheaper than other quotes I've gotten. It's always Jim that comes out and does the service and he knows the service history since he has been the only one to service them. Recently my AC went out due to a power surge. I called Metro expecting to get voicemail and leave a message but someone answered right away. She told me they would have someone call me as soon as they were in the next morning and by 8:30ish the next morning Jim called me and he came out to repair the AC that morning. All around I've been extremely happy with Metro and highly recommend them. read more

Gary, the owner, personally came to my rental unit on a holiday (4th of July) to get my A/C recharged and running last year. Since then, Jim came and got the problems resolved at another rental. Jim is as good as an HVAC man gets. Super friendly, clearly an experienced professional. He found the issue in 10 minutes and had what he could fix, fixed in 30. He also found an issue that my home inspector missed, and provided a quote to have it corrected. He received a couple of calls from a junior technician while on-site and made sure not to charge me for the time he was assisting the other tech. Metro is the best. Ask for Jim Frye...total pro. They put a new Carrier heat pump in my house about 4 years ago, and I chose them not only because the gave me the best deal, but because they are local, and that's who I prefer to deal with. Motor went bad about 9 months after the labor warranty expired, but they still fixed it for nothing when they didn't have to. Had to come out today for another small repair, great, prompt service again. I have recommended them to several friends of mine in Powell who have also been 100% satisfied with them. Never would recommend to anyone. They do not do business in an honest way. They take advantage of the customers and way much over charge for the parts!!!!! Last week they replaced two parts for my A/C and charged $240 for them (in addition to Labor). Later I checked the internet, the parts cost less than $50!!!! When I called them, they said they always charge that high to every customer! You'd better watch out if you do not want to be cheated! read more
