I cannot tell you how much I regret going with this company to redo the tile in our bathroom. First, they didn't properly remove the original backerboard and just laid down theirs and then tiled over it which caused the entire floor to be uneven, have some tiles stick up in weird places, AND to CUT all of our doors, trim, and paneling to accommodate the raised floors. Also its a 2" high transition bump now from our bedroom to bathroom. Not only does it look terrible but they also didn't cut the toilet pipe holes correctly and we haven't been able to reinstall our toilet. On top of that, they left with it a complete mess (shame on me for not stopping him). I couldnt walk on it to inspect and by the time he left and I spent hours cleaning up and installing, I could finally see all the damage done. They have refused to answer our calls or provide updates so now it's been 2 weeks of NO bathroom appliances. So disappointed and looking into legal action if they don't contact us back ASAP. read more

Horrible workmanship. Had flooring done from them contracted from Home Depot. The floor was wavy had to make the installers go back and repair a room they had just done. They would have left it at that, telling me it was rustic. Also damaged my Plantation Shutters that I had just had installed 2 days prior at a a cost of 13k, then said it was my 33yo son who had done it. The crew also walked off the job leaving it incomplete. I spoke to the GM there who had an attitude and now waiting to see when the job will be complete. I will never use Home Depot or USIG again and will be disputing all my charges. Would give negative stars if I could. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Would not install carpet because all furniture had not been moved from the home we live in, though this was not the protocol determined by Home Depot. Light furniture moving was supposed to be part of the contract. Installers left within 5 minutes, could not speak English, and could not communicate the issues or indicate when they would return. These people are a joke!!!! First my carpet came to them and it was cut, waited another week and a half then they came to my house, installed the padding, went out for the carpet and it was WET. These a$$$$$ didnt even check it.. Now we are waiting another week and a half and they are suppose to install tomorrow. Not holding my breath. These people dont call you to let you know what is going on and neither does HOME Depot. I thought this was going to be a great experience. Home depot sucks as bad as they do. I scheduled to have my floor tiled through my local Home Depot Store in Wesley Chapel. USIG is the exclusive contractor that Home Depot uses for all of their flooring contracts. I prepaid for installation and picked up all of the materials needed 7 full weeks before USIG were scheduled to come out to my house for the install. I moved everything out of the room to be tiled, removed existing carpet, underlay, tack strips and baseboard (even though carpet removal was included in the installation cost) . I received an email the day before the scheduled installation confirming my appointment for the following day telling me I would get a call with a 3 hour window before the installers arrived. I work midnight shift, so we I got off work I stayed up awaiting the phone call, worried that if I went to sleep I might miss their call. At 0900 am on the day of installation I received a call and was told that the installer was sick and that USIG would have to reschedule. They said they would call me NEXT WEEK to tell me WHEN they would be able to schedule my install. This was after I waited over 7 weeks to get the appointment. If USIG is the sole contractor for Home Depot an I expected to believe that if 1 installer is out sick that the entire operation comes to a screeching halt? And with that being said, then why wouldn't i be scheduled for the following day, or the day after that. Why would I have to wait until NEXT WEEK before getting a call back to tell me when I would be rescheduled. After reading that USIG had one and a half stars on Yelp,, and numerous complaints on the BBB I went back to Home Depot and cancelled the install. I'm going to do the job myself. When I told the flooring person and the store manager about my experience with USIG they both told me that they get tons of complaints like mine and that they can't understand why Home Depot still uses USIG. read more

Job was not done correctly, likes to try to make money in sneaky ways for example this company contacted me less then 24hrs to ask to come the next day to install the carpet, I was trying to work to better there schedule then I had a issue that came up and had to cancel they tried to charge me 100$ Even tho they reach out to me to change the date and tried to rush everything , second the works lied about repairing creaks in floorboards, the installer said he had no issue repairing the creeks/squeaks since it took only a few nails and they had the carpet out already, they failed to do so, also home depots employee confirmed that they would take care of the squeaky boards if told apon arrival, the install team did not do as they promised even tho they fully understood what I was asking for, I was planing to do them my self since it was a simple fix but considering I paid over 5000 for this carpet and with the assurance of home depot AND THIS COMPANIES INSTALLATION TEAM I would be able to count on them to get the job done right but this is not the case read more

I wouldn't even give them a star!! Worst customer service ever!! They were supposed to come out on Tuesday of last week and didn't show. Then they were supposed to come out last Thursday to make up for the Tuesday they missed. They never showed or called!! Today (Tuesday) I called my Home Depot store and they were extremely helpful and I finally got a call back only to be told they would call me back after already being on the phone with them for 20 minutes. I am very upset with this company. Very unprofessional and this should not happen to anyone. If I didn't own my own business I would have had to take those days off. That's unacceptable!! This has been the Worst Experience. I had carpet done through Home Depot and they had contracted out this awful company... I payed for 3 day install and they tried booking me out for two weeks- unacceptable. Shannon Horn is a joke and disgrace of a manager... Then I'm having wood installed on my stairs and tell me they are sending out a crew after trying to book out my stair job 21 days out... They tell me I'm the first job- Installer shows up at 11 no crew, just him and they are trying to turn my one day job into a two day job... Then, lied and told me they are sending out another installer, and then call back and say they need to send someone another day... The poor installer that showed, worked till 9pm- Then they had the nerve to call and ask me about my incomplete job the following day - They also didn't order enough stairs and now my stairs are still incomplete.... I'm also contacting the better business bureau, and news stations...I feel like I should be refunded for the stress and also the fact my job is still incomplete... please send your survey over Shannon- I'm dying to write a review.... read more

I purchased laminate flooring from the local The Home Depot in Venice, FL. The sales associate, Joe F., was very helpful and professional. My experience with him was very positive; however, when it came to getting the flooring installed everything went down hill. The project was contracted out to the local US Installations Group office in Venice. Sadly, I was not able to get a simple document (required by our condo association) completed and signed for more than 3 months. My efforts on the paperwork included many emails and calls to the contractor's general manager, as well as the store (installation coordinator and store manager). With no resolution in sight, I ended up finding an independent contractor, Venice Flooring Services, on HomeAdvisor.com. The entire process, from contacting the contractor, having the documents signed and approved, and completing the job, only took three weeks and it came out beautifully. Plus, we even saved $80! read more

USIG is the worst company I have ever dealt with. After months of agreeing on an install date and having to make special arrangements, they called the night before to cancel. Then they proceeded to tell me their representative lied to me about installing on a Saturday but they could not accommodate me regardless. They also stated I can do what I want about complaining because they had a national contract with Home Depot and it would not hurt them. They also said social media didn't scare them and to post away on the internet if I wanted to. When I relayed this information to Home Depot they did nothing and were glad to hear I was going to Loews to get the work done. They really don't care about their customers only about what they can get out of you! read more

On September 15th USIG started installing my pergo flooring. They had indicated that it would take 4 days to complete. After the first day the lead guy didn't return which left 2 to finish the job. Today is the ninth day and they haven't finished and they haven't shown up for 3 days! They claim that USIG has not paid them, (which is not my problem) and that they would not come back until they get paid. They were supposed to get a check today and then show up to finish my house but it is noon and no one is here. I have had a giant pile of garbage in front of my house for 9 days and the railing on my staircase has been off for 4 days, which is very dangerous! I am completely stunned at the service from both USIG and the contractors they sent out for the job. I paid over $10k for flooring and installation but would have gladly paid more for installation contractors who care about customer serivce. I have spoken with the Home Depot in San Rafael, where I bought the flooring, but no one can seem to rectify this issue. I own my own business and would never treat my clients like I have been treated. I will never refer USIG or Home Depot for Installation. I would like my installation fees reversed on my Home Depot credit card asap. This is completely unacceptable! read more

I had 178 yards of cut and loop pattern carpet to be installed including 33 steps. Big job that took 1.5 days to install. I admit that I was a little concerned how it would turn out based upon some negative reviews. I'm happy to say I lucked out! The two technicians, Rich and Mario from the Odessa office amazed me with the install. I was showed areas were there are seams but can't tell where they are just the general area. This house had many cuts where aligning the pattern is tricky. I'm very thankful these two gentleman knew what they were doing. Very professional and nice guys. Thanks Mario and Rich! read more

First of all ,the installer was late ,they didn't even try to contact me to let me know, then they arrived with a whole lot of Bad attitude and spent a whole lot of time on the cell phone. The installer sliced his fingers and left blood on Everything he touched ,I even had to clean blood smeared all over my door and got blood on my new carpet .These people were very rude to me and my 5 year old grandson. Scheduled to have wood floor put in den today...and just bought bamboo floor for the livingroom this weekend. Us installation said they would arrive between 8 & 11 a--got a call 930 saying they had another job before me it would now be between 12 and 3 pm. Got a call 1:30 pm saying they don't have anyone to do my floor cause its a glue down till Thursday..I said I want to talk to your manager--she said we don't have one -we only have a vice president and he's really hard to get a hold of and started laughing-I said "are you laughing at me?' She "no" and kept laughing..I told her which orifice she could shove both jobs up...I would never recommend this company or home depot in Bonita springs Florida --This female scheduler was rude inappropriate and unprofessional..My money spends anywhere and I'll spend it with a reputable company..this company is not with the BBB--if that tells you anything.. read more

This company is so unorganized! I had an appointment with them four months ago about being an installer for them. I had my license and had to get numerous insurances costing over $1000 and a Greenville business license which cost me $220. Which I didn't need Greenville license for any other company I was going to sub contract off of. I never heard back from them for three months, good thing I was installing for another company. A month ago got a call from them asking if I want to work so I called back, but it was around thanksgiving, so the manger said she would call me back never did. I called four times the next week and then went to the office the week after, still nothing. Called the week after and finally got the manager, she told me they were slow, I said funny I keep seeing add on Craigslist , she said we're slow. I told her I paid $220 for a license that I didn't need to work for you! She said to me me" don't talk to me like that and hung up. A week later I get a text from someone asking if I want to travel for work. I had them call me and found out it was USIG FROM Louisiana. I told him I don't want to work for your company, he asked why, so I told him the story. He apologized and said he'd take care of it and offered me an opportunity the travel to Delaware with a weekly bonus and paid hotel plus what I make installing and gas money to get there. I told I'll give you an answer after Christmas. Called him after Christmas and told him I'll take it to send me all the information so we can agree upon everything. He then calls me we talk about everything and agree I would be there on 1/6/2020 that I needed to make arrangements and get my things together. So everything was agreed upon. It's now Thursday the 1/2/2020 and I haven't heard from him since! No emails, phone calls, nothing to find out if the plan is still going on! I was going to uproot my life, take my dog, and all my tools and drive 10 hours to Delaware and they couldn't have the decency to call me about wether I was still going or if the plan fell through, NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL! Now I've got all my tools ready, clothes packed, made arrangements for my house and NOTHING FROM USIG! So if I was anyone going to work for them DONT ITS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. They have adds on Craigslist stating looking for floor installers and if you don't have insurance they can help you, yeah tell you how to get it and pay for it and not have the income to pay next month's insurance bill because they're not organized. My carpet arrived during a large rainstorm in the back of an open pick-up truck. Some of the padding was soaked and only half of the job could be completed. The remaining installation was scheduled two days later; however, they never showed up or even bothered to call. I called US Installation at 5:30 p.m., and they offered to come on Saturday, which was totally unacceptable. After a long and heated conversation they finally agreed to complete the job on Friday. The "new" dry padding appeared soiled and was not in great shape. During the installation they stacked furniture against an interior wall leaving scrapes that will have to be repainted. 0 stars. We were involved with this company through Home Depot which is extremely unfortunate for Home Depot since it makes them look like garbage as well. This company was less than useless. They couldn't even get on the same page on timing with their subcontractor. Cost us more money by giving us countless false alarms of when they scheduled to show up at our house and we would take work off thinking they were coming and... no show every time. Carpet subcontractor FINALLY showed up to our house for installation of a runner and tried to say he had to re-*measure the stairs for the THIRD TIME and that he couldn't do the actually installation that day. After an exhausting hour of arguing with this guy he finally decided he could do the stairs but not our hall way. We are heading into the third month of dealing with this company and trying to get our carpet finished which let me remind you is a simple runner. After all this awful customer service that's not even what pisses me off the most. We have been dealing with a USIG project manager named Brandon who has been awful to work with. He is completely unresponsive and rude even after all the crap they have put us through the last couple of months. In my opinion, home depot would be MUCH better off hiring their own project management team and working with subcontractors on their own. Not good! carpet installation ok, but floor damage and damage to railings unacceptable. Did not meet 7 day installation time. Blamed carpet supplier (home Depot) who did not get carpet US Installations in a timely fashion. Home Depot could not explain. Clean up after installation not good. This company is terrible. I'm disappointed Home Depot uses them especially after reading all of the other reviews and realizing my experience is shared by pretty much everyone else here. The scheduler (Pat) was rude, short, and interrupting. When I spoke to the manager after requesting to cancel the install (Sam), she had no interest and was distracted for the conversation. Another person (did not get his name) that I spoke to after ordering the flooring emphasized that their installers *do not* undercut door jambs, and that I would have to get that work contracted out by someone else. What?!? That is pretty standard for floor installation. I questioned him and asked him to repeat it, and he confirmed it again. Later, Sam contradicted this guy and said they do undercut floor jambs and that I was given wrong information. Sam, retrain your phone techs. The installers that arrived on my installation date were the lone bright spot. Two guys that were very polite and had me feeling good that the job would get done correctly. Before starting, they found that I was getting Bamboo installed. Bamboo is a much harder material to cut than laminate wood. These guys (independent contractors hired by US Installation Group) were contracted to install laminate wood. He phoned in USIG to notify them that they did not detail the job correctly and that his quote would be higher because of the material. Harder material would require more cutting blades. USIG refused to adjust what they were paying the crew. I heard all of the details because his phone was on speaker while he prepped to begin the job. The installers walked out, and I agree 100% with their decision to do so. I'd like to have my floors finished, but this USIG company is awful. I won't go through Home Depot to get anything else installed if USIG is the company doing the contracting. Home Depot promptly and without question refunded my flooring purchase. I also learned from the Home Depot manager who refunded my purchase that USIG communicated that I was cancelling my order because of the installers. No! I cancelled it because of the USIG people. Your people were rude, poorly trained, uninterested in making the customer happy, and try to screw over your contractors. I'd rather wait a little longer without the floor than give this company any business. read more
