When I sat down for my appointment, he told me again that next time I should come an hour early to choose my color. I sat through my manicure feeling embarrassed, and the tech doing my nails seemed visibly uncomfortable after I was scolded in front of everyone. The manicure itself wasn't up to the usual standard, and one nail had already broken by the next day, and I ended up with a nail color I don't like. I understand salons can get busy, but a quiet, polite heads-up would have gone a lot further than being called out by name in front of other customers. It left me feeling embarrassed and unlikely to return.

First of all- let's talk about customer service. I'm usually not one to complain too much about service, as I understand that we all have bad days. But my technician PULLED MY LEG HAIR unprompted and laughed. Excuse me? I don't care what kind of a bad day you're having, pulling a customer's leg hair is unacceptable. It's not uncommon or shameful, but I felt embarrassed the whole time because of this incident, and I honestly wished I could have walked out at that point- and I would have if my feet weren't soaking wet. Second, let's talk about the RIDICULOUS upcharging at this salon. They charged me an additional $5 to use a pumice on my feet to remove the dead skin. Five dollars! I've literally never been charged extra for something that is usually included in a basic pedicure like that. Talk about a scam. Not to mention the constant badgering to upgrade my pedicure to the "deluxe" version, get gel on my nails instead of regular polish, add on an acrylic manicure, etc, etc. Honestly, I saw the bill presented to me at the counter by the prepubescent girl in charge of checking me out and I wanted to laugh. It cost more than getting a gel pedi at JesNail in Bangor would. Needless to say, I have never gone back and I will continue to avoid this place for all I am worth. I advise you all do the same.

I have never had my nails (fingers or toes) wrapped with acetone soaked cotton, wrapped in aluminum foil to remove the gel. I did not receive the services I had requested, and the employee who did my pedicure said she had only two tools. My toenails were not cut, and overall the service received was sub par and not worth my time (we drove an hour one way) or the money paid. Again, the technician was extremely professional and kind. I know she was also frustrated. Unfortunately, we will not book again.
