I just got back from the nail salon, and I'm really disappointed -- this was the final result. I went in for a French tip manicure and pedicure. The pedicure, done by a young lady, was excellent. However, the manicure, done by the older male technician, was a completely different story. He was on the phone with family the entire time and seemed distracted and unfocused. He didn't even cut my cuticles, and the overall job was rushed and careless. There was hardened leftover product under my nails, and white polish was smeared around my fingers. Instead of freehanding the French tips, he applied white polish all over the tip of the nail and then tried to clean it up with a brush -- which left the tips looking uneven and messy. I would not recommend getting your nails done here, especially by the male technician. The service and quality of the manicure were both very poor. read more

It's been almost 2 years since I have visited a nail salon and I've honestly been doing my own but I thought I needed a reset just in case my job wasn't a good job lol. The technicians were all really upset I didn't buy an add on to my pedicure. And the man who did my pedicure cut my toenails down past the nail bed... meaning it bled! Highly Recommend Background: I grew my nails out with the pandemic and have been manicuring myself. Last day of Spring Break, one daughter needed gel mani/pedi for a week long competition. My other daughter and I were joining in as part of the celebration. I teach in Indio and my students always have gorgeous nails from local salons. We read reviews and decided to try US Nails. What a great experience! The selection of high quality polish is second to none. This is very important; If the products are not good the polish won't last. As walk-ins, and we got there early, they happily took all three of us and assisted as we decided what services we wanted: gel mani, gel mani/pedi, and full set acrylic for momma. We were treated graciously, seated at our "thrones," and the services began. My oldest daughter is a nail picker and this embarrassed when manicurists shame her. She was so happy with the experience because she said the young woman cleaned her nails up without even mentioning how the cuticles looked. She told me that she would never go anywhere else because they treated her with such respect. I wanted to cry hearing this. As a former salon owner, I have frequented nearly every nail salon in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, and La Quinta over the past twenty +years. Never have I had such a pleasant experience as at US Nails. We have found a home for our nail services. My new acrylics turned out PERFECT! The shape, length, and quality were everything I could have wanted and nothing less than one should expect. I had trimmed and pushed cuticles before, so I didn't add on a mani; however, I have very sensitive skin and noticed that I had no reaction to the acrylic, filing, or products used. (In the past, at other salons, I have used creams to settle the redness or inflamed skin post fill) NOT A BIT OF IRRITATION - Hallelujah!! We were sold! US Nails is 100% the BEST nail salon for quality, service, and price! They accept credit but naturally prefer cash. I cannot blame them as CCs charge fees and take time to disperse funds. Don't get your eyebrows done from here. Bring Helen back and Tony. Tony used to always do my toes nails. I've been gone here for years. This was my second time trying out the new crew in the shop. I tried out Leticia out for my eyebrows and it looks like she didn't even touch my eyebrows. She also waxed my lip, which I didn't ask for she over charged me. Mind you I haven't let anyone touch my eyebrows in the desert for 3 years only Helen. I then got a manicure which didn't even last me a week. Nails started to break on the 3rd day. By time a week came I had three nails fully come off. I have never had this happen when I used to get my nails done here. I took a chance on this place since I've only been to one other nail salon in the area that made me not want to go to salons anymore, but I was in need of a new set. They got me right in with no wait. The young man who did my nails was so polite and he knew what he was doing. He knew my nail size just by taking a glance. If I could give this place negative stars I would but I have to give them 1 start to be able to write a review..I'm not really into writing reviews cuz I kno a bad review can really effect someone's business and especially if it's family owned and operated but if this place don't care about their customers then maybe I shouldn't care either..my brother took mine and his daughter and our niece to get a manicure for his daughters bday and she wanted to treat her cousins for a manicure on her bday..they specifically asked for a gel manicure with a simple art design and all of them wanted the same thing so they can match..and as the nail tech was told what services they wanted he literally rolled his eyes and made a stank face and told one of his coworkers something in their language and everyone that works their all stared at the kids mind u these kids are little girls ages 8 12 and a 13 and they even noticed the looks and I told my girls don't worry they ain't talkin about u girls..one of the tech started to do the manicure and my daughter told him I'm sorry but I asked for a gel manicure and the tech told her oh don't worry about it this manicure is better than the gel one it's a new type it just came out yesterday u will be the first to have it in the valley my daughter looked at him and said no thanks I want the gel cuz I brought my own polish and the tech still has tried to convince her not to do the gel because he would have to start a new one cuz he Didn't pay attention to what she asked for from the beginning my daughter told him please just do the gel he made a face At her and started the gel manicure that she asked for he tried to do the same with the two other girls and my daughter told him please just do the gel one like I have he was trying to rush them and cut all three of them when he was cleaning their cuticles and when he applied alcohol or nail punch remover it stung the girls and they kind of made a face and he said something to his coworkers and they all laughed And when they asked for their design he said he doesn't do designs so he had another tech do some messed up looking hearts and moons and little stars that you couldn't tell what They were I was fed up with it so I decided just to pay and get out of there and when he charge me he asked me how much tip are you gonna give me And he said he prefer cash because I was paying with a card but he said worst case scenario he would take the credit card tip I couldn't believe how he was asking me like that and especially how crappy job he did I told him I will not be returning there and sorry he doesn't deserve a tip and actually I was gonna leave a tip if he didn't ask for it because I know how he feels when you live off your tips the nerve of him so after all this I will not be taking my kids over there I hope he will change his ways because that's not the way you treat customers let alone preteen girls read more

I've visited this nail spot twice now...and unfortunately its a hard pass now. I want to start off by saying the owners are sweet. From the moment you walk in you are greeted, offered a drink & offered a seat. On my first visit, I requested a fill & a deluxe pedicure. They started them both at the same time. My pedicure was great & LONG. No complaints here....but over the course of my fill...I noticed the male working on my nails was struggling. My pedicure took around 30 min & my fill/hands was still being worked on. The owner noticed I started having concerns once I kept staring at his work. She mentioned if I felt unhappy about anything to let her know...well it was just too much to complain about. I felt overwhelmed. The guy didn't push down my cuticles, he kept layering the powder and continuously shaving it once it dried...it was a mess. The filing was a different story. I ended up just filing them myself at home & reshaping them. I had clients next to me explaining to me that people always gets complaints about his work. Well I didn't have the heart to tell them. Fast forward to visit #2...since I loved my pedicure I decided to go back and give this nail shop another shot. BIG MISTAKE. I got sat down for a pedicure with the same person who worked on my fill/hands the first time. Regardless since he only did my hands previously, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt with my pedicure. Well I regretted this almost immediately. I felt as if I was guiding him on how to properly do a pedicure. I had to ask him twice to clean under my toe nails, my cuticles weren't worked on...I just felt terrible complaining, but this was honestly stressful. Instead of a relaxing ME moment...I spent it miserable. I couldn't relax because I felt as if he had no idea what he was doing & I had to supervise to make sure I got my moneys worth. I am sure Tammy & her husband are great. Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure of being worked on by them. However, after these past two experiences, I have no intentions in returning. Came here for the first time today and it was an okay experience. I have been trying to get my nails done a certain way (French fade). I came across this salon because it was near the area I was doing errands in. I loved how they turned out, except for the fact that the left thumb is a bit crooked. Other then that, they look nice and was the look I was going for. Salon was clean, the guy doing my nails was nice, and price was reasonable for gel. It's my favorite nail salon in the valley for 3 reasons: The girls here do really great work (you can bring a picture of whatever nails you want and it can be done), it's affordable, and then I also love that some of the guys who work here pull out a traditional style fan and will start waving at the polish to help it dry. This place is great!!! I was in the area and my feet were starting to kill me (I'm 30 weeks pregnant) so I needed some kind of releif and fast, I called around and this place had the best competitive price, $17 for a basic pedicure. I walked in and was able to be seen right away ( they weren't busy at the time). The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming they also had good music playing, none of that elevator music crap. It's also a clean nail salon which is hard to find with these great prices now days. They offered me cold water and started the massage chair for me ( these are just added perks). When my pedicure started it was like I was in heaven, they trimmed my nails and cuticles and it was so flawless, I couldn't even feel her takin my cuticles off, only reason I know she did is because I watched her do it. The massage was amazing ( I almost fell asleep at the chair) people started piling in and some were returning customers which is a good sign to me, as you don't usually go back to a nail salon that you're unhappy with in my opinion.. just for the basic service I requested I feel like I was treated so well.. I will definitely be comming back here and next time I want to try the deluxe pedicure, if I was treated so well with the basic I'm excited to spend a little more for a longer relaxing pedi with them. If i could give them no stars i definitely would. I walked in just this afternoon right at 6pm (they close at 7) and i asked if they had time to do a manicure and a pedicure and they said yes. They sat me down and this older lady started doing my pedicure. Usually when i go to other places they provide me with a menu of different types of pedicures, like the basic, deluxe or premium or spa pedicure.. not the case here, though they do have the menú the lady that was doing my pedicure did not even give me the option to pick she just did a basic pedicure and she was acting all rushed. The same thing with the manicure, she did a horrible job, did not even cut my cuticles, she did a terrible job all around. I'm not one to complain but this was down right terrible.
