They have an impressive COVID-19 protocol in place for your protection! If you are immune-compromised, I'm letting you know this office is doing an excellent job of keeping you safe. When I arrived, a note said to wait outside and ring the doorbell. Office staff met me at the door and instructed me to stay on the entry rug. No one was seated in the lobby. She took my temperature and had me fill out a COVID-19 related questionnaire. Everyone in the building was wearing a 3M type medical mask. I was taken straight to an exam room, and instructed to place my personal items in a bag they provided for me. I changed into a gown. As I waited they had a monitor in the room that stated: this room was sanitized with medical-grade wipes between patients, and steamed cleaned last night. We are also utilizing medical-grade air filters throughout the facility to capture a large percentage of airborne COVID-19. Nice! NTINH works as a team, amazing people who definitely go the extra mile. I've been a patient of Dr. Sorins for years, he was the first doctor to take my migraine pain seriously. She falsely claimed that the appointment time had already been passed by 40 minutes, which was completely inaccurate.When I confronted her about the fact that their own scheduling team told us this was fine, Selena admitted that they constantly have problems with their scheduling team. When I asked why they still use them, she casually responded that they "can't just fire them." My 78 y o dad was seen in their ED last night for a fall with head strike. He couldn't even tell me…read morehow exactly it happened. He has a hematoma with a lac on his head. He was seen in that ED a few weeks prior for profuse epistaxis, no labs done, likely from high BP. There's a language barrier and he's not the best historian, so I'm not sure how they were able to obtain info if he is on any blood thinners or his current symptoms. I've been a nurse for 15 years inc at a level 1 trauma center, and I've never heard of a 78 y o with a fall and head strike with unclear mechanism and possible LOC not get a CTH (and maybe a c-spine while at it). It's a 10 min thing and is not unreasonable, it's not like I'm talking about a CTA of the Chest. My mom tells me he's now altered, dizzy and nauseous at home, which prompted this review. I really hope he doesn't have a subdural or an ICH, esp given his high BP. I understand he may not have had sig focal deficits, but given all the above, scan the damn head.

This is common practice with a patient who's symptoms are stabilized. I have learned the best way to ensure your meds are properly refilled is to use the portal for a "request a refill" as well as prompting your pharmacy. I have only experienced late refills twice in several years. I have never had problems with billing.

At my 2-week post-op appointment and every appointment afterward, I repeatedly tried to explain how intense and persistent the pain was and how concerned I felt about it. Unfortunately, I left those visits feeling unheard and dismissed. I understand recovery from spinal surgery can be difficult and unpredictable, but as a patient, I desperately needed reassurance, guidance, and to feel like my concerns truly mattered. Instead, I personally felt like I was repeatedly told to "wait it out," even as the pain continued month after month. During this process, I was referred by Dr. Kalra to multiple different specialists in an attempt to address the ongoing nerve pain. However, after being evaluated, those doctors ultimately referred me back to Dr. Kalra regarding the issues related to my fusion and recovery. This left me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for answers or support. More than a year later, I am still dealing with the same nerve pain that began after surgery. This has significantly affected my quality of life. When I contacted the office again hoping to discuss the ongoing issues I've been experiencing since the fusion, I was informed that I was being dismissed as a patient and later received a certified dismissal letter from the practice.
