These idiots ignore the posted signs and put packages in the walkway. That said, they are not the worst. Recently I got a notification of delivery. I caught up with the driver a few houses down. It turns out the package was delivered across the street down a long driveway. I had him go get it, with instructions to place the package exactly where the sign directs. His excuse was he was a fill in driver. So? You should know which side of the street is odds or even numbers. Since all mail are on the opposite side of the street, I recently put an arrow above the number. There is also a number on my house, if they care to look. read more

I've never had so many mail issues.. Received neighbors mail/packages multiple times and vice versa living here in Cedar. I do everything I can to avoid going in to the store. The workers in store are very nice, but the line is literally to the door every time/moves SO slow. I can't ever call to speak to anybody at the store via phone as you just get a useless recording/robot.. which forces you to come in and sit forever in line for a simple question. The parcel locker at my complex won't open with the key they left me and I can't get my package. Now I have to go stand in the long line for assistance since I can't call a real person. The people are amazing & try so hard. But honestly, Cedar City is way overdue for a second post office.

I'm tired of my neighbors and me getting our neighbors mail. leaving keys in my mail box that doesn't fit the box and theirs no one to call to talk to anyone in the Cedar city post office about any issue. I guess the post offices policy under the current admin. Biden/Harris disaster, is don't talk to no one. This is the worst mail service I have had to deal with. We had nothing but positive experiences here and love all the employees who went out of their way to find our many packages, assist me in transpiring them out to my vehicle, and greeting us by name as soon as they saw us walk through the doors. 5 Stars all the way! read more

Had an amazing experience getting new passports for my kids. The gentleman helped us with the expedited process- and gave me more info than I could find online. He was fun and kind with the kids- the most positive passport experience EVER- and this is my kids' 3rd passport book. So thrilled we sent him a card from overseas! lost multiple packages while I was waiting for a key replacement, $150 worth, I did have package protection, which they didn't care about. I had to fill out the same forms and holding sheet's multiple times. The employees didn't care at all and had the worst costumer service ever. worst experience I've ever had with a post office. Attempts to contact post office via phone (3 times), resulted in continuous ringing. Attempted to contact 800 number, fully automated could not get help. come on USPS you can do better. read more

I mailed a package along with a tracking number on 2/22/23 from Cedar City. My package sat in Cedar until 3/19/23. Today is 4/5/23 and the package has still not been delivered. I don't know what is going on inside the Post Office, but it is ridiculously slow at processing mail. This past week I mailed two more packages, there has not been any movement on them. Well, unfortunately Dave S has already covered it better than I ever will. I'll just add a personal experience: So I come home one day and there is a tag on my door that they attempted to deliver something requiring a signature. The tag lists a few options, such as telling them where to leave it next time. (First choice would be the locked mailbox, right?). Then after reading the options it says "not available for signature required items." Well, what possibly would those options be available for? They just toss everything else on the porch, right? So my wife goes down to the Post Office with the tag. I had forgotten to sign the tag and designate her as my agent. They handed over the certified letter without IDing her. Remember I didn't designate her as my agent, legally, per the tag instructions. "Do you live at the address?" "Yep". "OK"! She could have been anyone with access to the outside of our front door. The two stars is for our former letter carrier who had such a great sense of humor and always had a smile on her face. I hope she is happy wherever she is. Quite possibly the only happy face I've ever seen while wearing a USPS uniform. Uniforms.......yah......have you seen the folks delivering the mail lately? If they are too far from the truck you'd think they're stealing the mail, not delivering it. Wish people would do what I do and just pay Fed Ex double to make sure it actually gets there. read more

My 3 packages arrived on Oct 17th. It is now Dec 1st and I still cannot get the packages. The box the carrier put them in does not work and I keep being told that the "maintenance man will have it drilled out this week". SIX weeks later my packages are still being held hostage. I don't know how to get them to do their job. I have spoken with 3 carriers, 1 man that I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to speak with, called and spoke to 2 different women and still nothing. Hoping someone will read this, get the packages out and leave them at my door or leave a note on my door saying I can go to the front of the humongusly long line and get them at the post office. Update: I called them and wrote this this morning and my packages have been released. read more

Like most postal facilities, this one is staffed by people who could not care any less about you or your satisfaction with their service. Whether or not you actually get your mail is of no concern to them. They don't seem to mind chit-chatting with their neighbors and friends at the counter when there's a line out the door though. Unfortunately there is no other option and I really can't believe that any of these Yelp reviews matter to them. I know several people who have worked for this government agency and can tell you from first-hand experience that the ONLY thing they care about is that magic day when they can walk out the door to their new life collecting retirement checks. I'm fully in belief that the TSA send their dropouts to the USPS service. And those who do the very worst end up in Cedar City, Utah to work as counter clerks. The USPS contractors who stuff the mail in all the rural mail kiosks are even worse. You would thing that reading skills would be a major part of their job requirements, right? Well, NOT SO!! That would be discriminatory against idiots who cannot read! More mail gets lost out there than hikers on My. Everest. Federal employees are dopes. Last time I got a delivery notice the package was still on board their vehicle some time later. I had to chase them down. Tonight my neighbor had to call and tell me it was left on his porch. Really? Don't delivery people take a test to see if they can pass fundamental functions, like identifying numbers, street names etc? Give them GPS with pictures. It's really not that difficult. read more

Horrible service. Package was tracked and delivered to Cedar post office and 5 days later STILL waiting for it to be delivered. They have a HX of horrible service; packages arriving at Cedar and then being scanned and sent to SLC, Provo and even Vegas. NO accountability. Poor training. Poor management. read more

In my experience both incoming and outgoing mail delivery through the Cedar City Post Office has been great. I own a business and spend thousands of dollars on outgoing postage each year. I love Priority Mail and how efficiently my packages are processed and delivered. The one star reviews posted in the past couple months appear to be carrier or individual employee issues. I hope that these issues were brought to the attention of Postmaster Brian. He cares about the performance and service the post office delivers. If anyone needs help with local postal problems, they should talk to him. read more

If you need to get a passport go somewhere else! My husband daughter and I went in Friday to get passports for my daughter and I,the guy helping us was so RUDE! My daughter is 1 and a half and already had been having a hard morning so she was being a little whiney. I tried my best to entertain her keeping her mostly quiet. All the man could do was keep making rude comments towards my child. "I hope I don't have to take your pictures because I don't want to deal with that." Gesturing towards my daughter. "You should of made sure she had a nap and food before coming in because we don't deal with whiney children." He also said that my daughter was spoiled, rude and loud. Again she is one and a half and he saw her for all of 15 minutes. Trust me if both my husband and I didn't need to come in with her to get her passport she would of stayed home with one of us. I also tried to set the appointment at a time when she is normally happy however she is a toddler and totally unpredictable. Towards the end of our appointment my daughter started to cry so I asked him if there was anything else I needed to sign or do and he said no so I took her out to the car only to have him chase me down in the parking lot because I did need to sign her passport application. read more

I have a rural mail box that has 4 parcel boxes as well as individual small boxes. I have had a package in one of the parcel boxes for THREE DAYS but the carrier has not left the right key to open the parcel box. In addition to that he/she has left packages in a parcel box that not only is not locked but the door was hanging open. There were 2 other parcel boxes that were not being used. The first time the package was in the open parcel box the key for that box had been placed in my mail box instead of the key to the parcel box that has my packages in it. I talked to a post office employee twice about this and NOTHING has been done for three days. Plus the carrier is leaving people's packages in an open box instead of using the other 2 parcel boxes that are available as the keys are hanging in them. This carrier has not been using the two unused parcel boxes for several months, sometimes necessitating a trip to pick up a package that would have fit in the parcel boxes. I have also not been receiving mail. I had to pay a late fee on a credit card because the bill never arrived. My husband and I never leave mail in the outgoing box because we have had bill payments never arrive. Very shoddy service that has gotten much worse. I once was a big defender of the USPS over private carriers, but now I'm in favor of privatization. UPS and FEDEX are far superior to the crappy service we are getting from the USPS for the past 6 months. read more
