I've always had good luck going to this post office and dropping off packages to mail. Occasionally there would be a line, but everyone was waiting patiently and the staffers seemed friendly. This location is not a stand-alone post office building, but one that is at the end of a business strip. There is plenty of parking and is very easy to get in and out. The majority of the location is PO Boxes, but very rarely have I seen the line extend out past the glass doors of the area that they lock up at night. There is no package drop off for late night (past 5pm) that I've seen, but if you have a prepaid label and package, it's very simple to "skip" the line and place the package on the far right counter (if you are facing the Postal workers). read more

I gave my friend a couple of gifts. She decided to ship them and a bunch of other purchases that she had made home. She needed a box, so we visited this location. This post office is in a huge plaza with plenty of parking. I ended up backing my Nissan Rogue rental in a parking spot without a hitch. We walked in. You are first greeted with private mailboxes on either side of you. We got to the wall on the right with cardboard boxes and bubble wrap. She got a medium box and a roll of bubble wrap. The woman at the counter was efficient and pleasant. My friend made her purchases and we were good. We ended up coming back here. My friend had everything packed in her box. It took one week for a first class mailer to go from Pineville PO to residence in Spartanburg. I do not find that acceptable.

It's still a nice post office and every time I'm here, the counter clerks are friendly and polite. Even when the customer doesn't speak English and barely understands pointing (over there, to the Priority Mail supplies!), they get the job done. I think maybe this facility is seeing some age. It just feels a little dimmer and a little dirtier each time I come here. On the plus side, I don't have to come here too often since most grocery stores sell regular stamps. What I have noticed lately is that the constant foot traffic here means that there can usually be found someone begging for money, whether it's the "I just ran out of gas" ploy or the "Help a veteran" one. Delivery to Heathstead condominiums is spotty. Sometimes they come, sometimes they don't. Sometimes my box stays empty for days, other days there is huge 'dump' of mail. They deliver at night, or not at all. Today, March 14, 2023, I got two separate letters from my investment counselor saying two separate pieces of mail were return to him 'undeliverable'. My two accounts have been locked thanks to this. and, OF COURSE, NO ONE IS ANSWERING THE PHONE. Pathetic! read more

I love that I came in here today and I was in and out within 10mins. The lady that helped me she was super friendly and carried a great smile! I mentioned how hungry I was and she joked with me by saying, "girl if you don't get you something to eat". LoL! I'm very pleased with the Saturday setup, the location is older but they keep it clean and well maintained. read more

Great customer service at this location; friendly and efficient employees who are actually willing to do their jobs. Unlike the Charlotte airport location with rude employees who just can't be bothered to help customers. 25 minute wait in line behind ONE other customer. Took a package in related to a damage claim, as instructed by the letter I received from the Postal Service - "take to A post office" - not a specific one. The heavyset lady who walks with a severe limp was just not interested. Told me I had to take it to the zip code where the package was delivered. Letter didn't state that; I pointed that out to her - twice. She insisted she couldn't take the package for inspection which was an out and out lie (as confirmed by the post office I actually took it to). She just didn't want to deal with it. I told her I would be filing a report with the district postmaster's office - and I will be; please don't use the airport location - another customer who came in while my discussion was taking place, grabbed a few priority mail boxes and when I walked out into the lobby, said to me "Don't know how she still works here; she's an a**hole to every customer that goes in.". She's not wrong. Never have I encountered a USPS postal employee this rude and nasty. read more

For the neighborhood they're in this post office does an awesome job at what they do. The clerks are friendly and efficient and the facility always gets cleaned so there are a few days each week when you can smell the cleaning crew has been there ! read more

I mean, it's a post office. Yes, the line is always going to be long. And yes, the staff is hit or miss with customer service but I actually don't mind coming here. I love that they are open until 2:30pm on Saturdays and there is plenty of parking. During my last visit I joked around with the staff and was in and out with no wait. It was very easy and painless...perhaps I now know the secret day and time to go and how to avoid the madness and long lines. Woot! I do wish they had a 24 hour drop box but I guess you can't get everything. read more

In a perfect world I would never have to mail anything. In fact before coming to this post office my last experience with the postal service was tagging along with my mom as she ran errands when I was little. There really hasn't been a need for me to use a post office until I decided to de-clutter my life and sold all my old text books on Amazon. When I sold my first book I went to the post office and the worker there explained that books can ship under a special rate to keep prices down. Great! He walked me through all the options and I quickly became an old pro as I made a few bucks selling books I hadn't needed in years. Fast forward to only a couple months ago when I needed to send certified funds. I was on a ridiculously tight deadline (I don't exactly check my mail daily and assume everything can be done online). I was panicked trying to find a way to get a money order as well as to the post office before it closed. I then realized the post office handles money orders too. The lady that helped me was super friendly and explained everything about the process and had everything completed in a matter of minutes. Just off of South Boulevard, this post office does the job! I was skeptical that I would make it out in a timely fashion since I walked in around lunchtime and there were already 5 people ahead of me. However, the employees were really friendly and got everyone through pretty quickly. It seemed the employees liked what they were doing and I could tell they liked working with one another...that makes for a pleasant experience. I am already sad for the day when post offices will become a thing of the past. That being said, I wish that for customers and for employees that visiting a post office could be a bit more of a bright, cheery experience. Why does government office mean stultifyingly dim & dreary? I will say that there is usually one staff member on duty that seems to hold the office of cheer-monger who will lightly joke his or her way through the transaction so that you leave with a smile. Brought 2 prepaid packages in and they refused to scan but took package - I have tracking number so I called 3 hours later to ask when I can start to track package and I was put on hold for 29 minutes as I heard the gentleman and woman in the back ground joking around. I hung up and continues to call back and no one answered - Horrible customer service, now I understand why post offices are closing. read more

It s awful how to see a post office in the middle of a Spanish Speaking community and there is no bilingual personnel. I normally always have a good experience here, but today they disappointed me greatly and I am mad at myself for not fighting more. When you hand a large envelope over and say postage no hurry you should not be up sold to priority 2-day. I paid twice as much in postage as what I was mailing. I tried to explain what I was talking about and given a look like I was crazy get moving there is a long line, I know what you can do you don't. Really I know the post office is hurting, but really. This review is about the post office on Ballantyne Road in South Charlotte. Very rude, unprofessional staff who are also very agressive, pushy sales people. I have never gone to a post office I didn't like until this post office. If I have a choice, I would go to a different post office but there's none nearby. Not a fan of this location. Postal workers are kinda rude, depending on who waits on you, SOOOOOOOOO Out Dated Inside and small and dimly lit.... And parking is a nightmare. Be very careful when pulling out of parking spaces as the entrance to parking lot is pretty much right by the parking spaces that re mostly available. I've almost been rear ended twice. read more
