After that, does anyone else in the universe really need to be abused by large, loud elderly white males? There were three elderly white males manning the desk tonight. Two of them may have been awesome. I got the one who had been yelling out to everyone exactly how to behave. It was a calm line, but he needed attention. I had 3 packages with computer printed labels on them: one for USPS and two for UPS. He deliberately and condescendingly informed me, moving the packages about and jabbing each label exclaiming that they were for UPS. "UPS NOT USPS" he continued to inform. I believed him from the get-go and calmly asked if they could take them anyway. (I know from experience that Fedex and UPS take anyone's packages graciously while informing you that they cannot give reciepts for packages with labels that arent theirs. These packages have always shipped correctly for me in the past, getting to their destinations on time.) This US postal worker leaned down on the desk dramatically and said, "I tell ya what. We have a bin back there, where we put mistakes from UPS and maybe they'll go out in a few weeks." Is this the level of service our country's postal service wants to convey? Why did that man want to be so vile? Please privatize the post office so cretins like that man will either shape up or be gone so they can no longer inflict their nasty selves on postal customers. Give UPS and FedEx additional and real competition. I usually use UPS because you're in and out relatively quickly and they happily mail fedex and USPS in a pinch. Tonight, I was once again reminded of why i dont like to go to this post office. Ive only visited it for a handful of emergencies in the 22 years I've lived in this town. Its best avoided.

Like my other USPS in Lowry, the people who work here are really nice and it's not their fault the facilities are outdated.

This is literally the worst post office I have ever visited. The workers have zero customer service…read moreskills and if they were to actually smile or greet you when you walk in the door, I would be completely shocked. They don't even have the courtesy to look up when you approach the counter and are sometimes on their phones and seem bothered by having a customer at all. Mail is lost all the time, packages disappear but the carrier says they were dropped (even when you are sitting at home watching the carrier NEVER drop it off). This post office location needs to be completely revamped and new staff hired.

The couriers at this place are criminals who steal customer packages…read moreand lie about it stating that mail was delivered, when it wasn't, and when you investigate it further they tell you that your mailbox was broken into (or some other lie), however, there is no evidence of a break in or tampering of the mailbox NOR did anyone inform the residents that their mail was compromised due to a break-in. This will be the 6th package stolen as a result of this! I have escalated this issue to be investigated. No accommodations are ever made as a result and you have to fight tooth and nail just to get a validation letter. Unfortunately, you cannot change your USPS branch due to zip code jurisdictions, so this is an unfortunate injustice to subject people to theft from actual government employees who are supposed to take an oath against committing federal crimes.

The body language said they had been there a while and patience were wearing thin. I noticed several PO Boxes that were obviously damaged (doors hanging off the hinges) and the parking lot was a mess. The drive up mail drop box had yellow "do not cross this line" tape wrapped around it. Scary! Surely there is a better USPS up the street, somewhere/anywhere.
