This place does fraudulent activities in order to meet time-sensitive deadlines for packages. They put that delivery was attempted when nothing was ever attempted for delivery. Not a driver in sight. Most recently, tracking said that my package arrived at 11:43am in East Brunswick and magically by 11:50am my package was attempted to be delivered when I'm obviously located about 15 minutes away from the post office. I have cameras on my premises and nothing was attempted to be delivered at 11:50pm. Mind you, this package was to be delivered by 12:00pm or else my mother would get her money back. All of sudden, by 12:50pm the delivery is successful and their lies lead to my mother not getting a refund. The office staff is rude and I have called numerous times trying to speak with the postmaster who is never anywhere near the facility (or so the staff says). read more

I'd give it no stars if I could. I've lived in EB for years and their Post Office is terrible! Staff is rude. Nobody answers the phone. If there's an issue, or you need anything other than basic services, nobody cares. I just returned from being away, and my mail was supposed to be held. I fillled out the request at least a month prior, and, surprise, suprise, it had not been held, and one of the letters I got was an important document from my employer. This is not the first time either. Every time I need mail held, there's a problem. When I need to ship a package, I go to another post office. read more

I just returned from visiting the EB Post Office on Cranbury Road and was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service given by the woman behind the counter. She was the only one working and I realize this must have been stressful for her. There were about 15 people in line and at one point, she left the counter for 10-15 minutes, but did not address anyone prior to leaving the counter - she could have said, "I apologize, we are having an issue that needs to be addressed, so I will be gone for about 10 minutes". This would have given others the opportunity to leave if needed. She also did not seem to be happy or friendly to each individual she served. It was truly a bad experience. Customer service training would certainly help here. read more

This may sound weird, but I was very happy with the service I received today! Everyone is saying how rude the staff is. Today they were very friendly. I came maybe 10 minutes before the window hours were closing, so they got me right away! It's a small post office, with the window service, where the staff helps you, and then the mailing room which is open 24/7. It was a little understaffed, but as long as I get good service, it ends up being a great experience! read more

UPDATE 8/28/17 - Finally received our package - only took 2 weeks. We had to go to Manalapan PO to pick it up. The latest East Brunswick PO excuse was that the package had an incomplete address - rather than East Brunswick, 08816 is had, according to the PO only the letter "E". GIANT SELF-SERVING LIE - the label was 100% correct, right down to the 4-digit zip code extension identifying our house. Bad enough they screwed it up, then they have to lie about it. Guess they figured we would never get our package, and wouldn't figure it was a lie. Unfortunately, the process was complicated by the fact the people at the same street name and house number in Manalapan accepted the package that was not theirs, and opened it. Guess they weren't interested in the contents, so they returned it to Manalapan PO. East Brunswick PO strikes again. This gaggle of buffoons never ceases to amaze. Expecting a package from Amazon PRIME (Sunday 8/13 delivery). Checking all day, no sign of a delivery. We get a text from Amazon indicating our package was delivered at 5:30 PM, and left "front steps near door". We look.... NOTHING... NADA ! ! ! Call EBPO Monday morning. EBPO - "Yes, it was delivered, our system shows it". Us - "Well, it's not here". EBPO - "We'll look into it". No call back so we call again. EBPO - "System shows it was delivered, but it went to the same street address as yours, but in Manalapan (actually, individual apparently was not familiar with that nearby town, as we heard "Manna-Lappen"). Us - "So, what's next"? EBPO - "We'll look into it". No follow-up calls by EBPO, so we call once again. Now we find out EBPO is in a disagreement with Manalapan on whether it was actually delivered to Manalapan, instead of East Brunswick. EBPO - "We're looking into it". Called Amazon, they said they will reship. But was supposed to be here Sunday 8/13, Amazon PRIME pays the USPS to deliver it then, and EBPO totally screws it up (look at previous incidents in last 20 months, documented below) once again. Now it's Thursday 8/17, and no delivery - no success in finding the package that was incorrectly delivered to wrong address, no new package from Amazon PRIME. Walking into the Post Office, I saw one person in line. I thought I would have to wait five minutes but I ended waiting thirty minutes. I was sending a package out and it was a bit over weight and I used my own box. So I called before I came asking if it is alright to send in my own box. I spoke with three people and they said it was fine. When I came I was called next and gave the package to the lady. She was the only one helping people. First she said that that it was overweight and that it is in a wrong box. I said that I called and the person that I spoke with said that it was fine. After that conversation, I ended up not sending it from East Brunswick, but sending it from South River. I will never go back there, I will go to the South River Post Office. I've had more problems with my mail service since this place took over our delivery in Milltown 08850 . This week they have a certified letter for us but now they can't find it. I have emails telling me they will redeliver today 5/17/19 ...did not happen. I went to the Milltown office two days ago, they called East Brunswick 4 times while I was there and they were put on hold each time and no one came back on. Something needs to be done. WORST post office ever, with the laziest, most inept, incompetent ship of fools I have ever dealt with. I paid for a PO box 5/29. I was given the keys after waiting 1/2 hour in line. The key got stuck in the lock. I have been told exactly 8 times since then, that the lock would be fixed and after checking back was given a flurry of excuses why the box wasn't fixed: the technician was out sick, the technician was on vacation, the custodian was supposed to do it, the front desk people were supposed to do it, blah blah blah. The lock is still not fixed. That's not all though. Although I paid for the PO box, and my name should be on it, my mail was returned undeliverable. None of the lazy, non-innovative "employees" had the presence of mind to offer me a new box, or even bother to put my name in the PO Box. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told there were no supervisors there. (FYI there are 2 customer service supervisors, 8 sales and service associates and the postmaster, who i would think is also a 'supervisor'. All their names are public record on Data Universe, in case anyone wants to reach someone specifically. I have since filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs, to get my money back. Even if I never get my $80.00 back, this is a cheap price to pay to avoid dealing with these people going forward. These are the types of employees that give all government employees a bad name. Pure laziness. Its a shame there are so many unemployed who would take these jobs in a heartbeat and do their jobs with pride. read more

Throughout my decades in New Jersey, I have worked with USPS offices in Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Essex, and Morris counties. Among them, East Brunswick in BY FAR THE WORST. List of problems I've had while being a resident in East Brunswick: 1. When I first moved in, mail addressed directly to the East Brunswick address were not delivered. East Brunswick USPS manager blames on us not having filed out change of address into the new address yet. We did not do it because we were keeping two homes for some time, and since when is a change of address a required start signal for mail delivery? 2. We received neighbors' mail on a regular basis. East Brunswick USPS manager blames it on the sorting machine and "there's nothing we can do". I suppose fixing the sorting machine is too much to ask. 3. There were several possible lost mailings, including at least one important bill. I can't really confirm this since the expected mailings just never showed up in my mailbox. Maybe they were delivered to my neighbors' addresses? 4. After I moved out, the permanent change of address I filed stopped working at 10 months and 20 some days even though this service is supposed to be good for 1 year. I can confirm this because I happen to know the current residents of my old address, and they were receiving my personal correspondences and even a Priority Mail package. East Brunswick USPS manager blames the system, saying it often fails when the permanent change of address is "about to expire". He also tells me that change of address is a courtesy provided by USPS, and there hold no responsibility on such mistakes, so it is really my fault for not having notified all my friends and family about my move. All he can do is the tell the carrier to watch out for my name when delivering mail -- Which is probably useless since no actual person looks at the mailings. East Brunswick post office provides the worst service I have ever seen anywhere. By far the worst USPS office I have ever dealt with. read more

Most times I visit this branch, the lobby looks dirty, there is very little, if any, supplies available, and they are normally understaffed. I visited on Saturday, 8/3/13, at 9:45. They had a line to the door, only two reps. I needed a specific package to send my item back, for which I already pre-paid postage, and I had to send an envelope certified with return receipt. They had no packaging out and no return receipt cards. I waited on line to have the clerk throw the card at me and tell me that they don't stock the specific packaging that I was looking for. I got attitude all the way. I had to leave line to fill out my return receipt and get back on line just to have her tell me she wasn't dealing with me and I had to wait for someone else. Ultimately I had to go to another branch to mail my items. They are slow, have major attitude problems, and I was unable to speak to a supervisor although she said she'd get one for me. read more

It is always an unpleasant experience every time I go to this branch. Back in awhile ago I went to this post office at 4:30pm which was half hour before they closed. It was a long line and there were only two rep. working. All the customers were patiently waiting. And one of the rep. was about to leave and went to the back. Then another rep. suddenly went to the back and argued with that rep. for 5 minutes and left the customer standing by the counter helplessly. We all could hear these two rep. yelling in the back. I honestly don't understand why we all wasted our time and money to hear these two argued. This branch definitely needs to re-train their staffs or hire new staffs. read more

The mail delivery service at the Country Lane area is horrible. For over a decade the service was great, then we got about 10 new Postal drivers over the last 2 years and they are, I believe lazy. They don't deliver all the mail. Deliver to the wrong address all the time. State they attempted delivery but our cameras clearly show no such attempt. Put a hold on packages/items or refused delivery without us every seeing or speaking to any Postal worker. I mailed a package that I needed returned. I started the process on the main USPS phone line and was able to reach the EB Post Office on Monday. I spoke with amazing employees and the afternoon supervisor even called me back to confirm where I wanted the package sent. The intercept package feature worked terrifically. read more

Beware of this post office! Contents of the package were stolen! There's thieves here! I sent a package of Christmas gifts from this post office to the Midwest. When it arrived at its destination the box was missing half of its contents. Upon closer look, it was noticeable that the box received was a completely different box than the one sent. The box sent had been a large ready post box bought a USPS, while this box had no markings. It was clear that someone or more people had opened the box, stolen half of the contents, and repackaged in a different box. Then they had cut the addresses and labels from the previous box and taped them onto the new box. I can't be sure which post office it happened, but when we checked the tracking we noticed that the box had spent a few days in the post office before being sent out making it the more likely suspect. In my opinion it just bolsters the case for private companies like fedex or ups being used for packages. When I called to complain the staff person was rude and dismissive. Horrible. read more

If I have a choice not to star them I would do it. Most of the time I went to East Brunswick post office and end up with driving to Edison because they make me so awful to be there. First of all they work so slow specially the Indian lady and the black lady with short hair. Second alway say something different like they didn't learn well from the same place. Third they alway attitude to the customer specially with the old people. They alway yell at them like they are a dog or something not because they can't hear well but I can feel their bad attitude to the customer so I wish if some of the supervisor come to read this comment please do something to change the service to make it better. She had to ask me a question 3 times bc I couldn't hear or understand her bc i'm on speaker phone! She took me off speakerphone and began to scream at me! I told her now that she's has me off speakerphone I could hear her just fine and there's no need to be rude and yell at me. She continues to argue with me. This evening I go to the post office to mail a box The outside of the building has 5 lights in the parking lot that aren't working. Inside I counted 3 more lights that were not working. So I get my priority mail box and do all the folding and seal it closed. Now comes the reason why almost everyone rates this post office so badly. Not one priority mail sticker is anywhere in the lobby area. They wonder why the post office is a dyeing part of America. I believe it's the postmasters fault for allowing these conditions to exist. Same shit different year. For the second year I filled out a form and paid $1 for a confirmation that my mail would be temporarily forwarded to a different address starting last November. I actually did it 6 weeks before I needed it to make sure it would be done. I was still receiving mail in December so I stopped the the mailman why my mail was not being forwarded. He asked me if we were moving... HUH?. Told him no, just needed my mail forwarded for three months. I also reminded him that he was the one who gave my son the wrong mail last year after he went to pick it up. That mail was also never forwarded even though I had the confirmation of when delivery would stop and forwarding begin. Today I received a picture of the notice my son found in my mailbox saying that my box was full and that all my mail was going to be sent back marked "unclaimed" if not picked up in 10 days. WTF is wrong with these people. How hard can this job be. They want $1 to confirm what they don't do. Last year I received a 1040 form in May that had been floating around the post office since January. I took it to the post master who had no expatiation. Some people have their mail sent by priority mail for $18 a week rather than attempt to have it forwarded. Is that what they are forcing people to do? If I did my job the way these losers do theirs, I would be looking for work. No wonder the Post Office is losing money. read more

Hit or miss is right! I prepay for all my packages using the usps website or ebay. I simply have a drop off every time. I am on my lunch break so I'm not trying to take any longer than I should. Every other post office in the area I go to they all make eye contact when they see me by the line and when I say drop off they say sure don't wait in line leave it right on the counter because it is prepaid. Not in eb! I don't want to sound racist but it is my only way to describe who's behind the counter. The older and younger black woman have no issues just wave me over with no problems. But the 50ish white woman and the 50ish Indian woman OMFG the most ANNOYING and untrained morons! Asking me the most rediculous questions with an attitude. Today was the same thing double and triple checking the size and weight of my package making faces just flat out unprofessional and childish attitude. They see that I'm in a rush and start offering me rediculous shipping options when it is PREPAID! Then pulling out measuring tape making faces. Asking more than once if it's hazardous etc. No one else does this!!! North brunswick, jamesburg, mill town. No one! Avoid at all cost or prepare before you visit. I think they are mad that usps is offering this service to cut them out but that does not give them the right to treat us this way. Now I am paranoid that this woman did something with my package because the tracking has not been updated.
