I live in a complex where the mailboxes are centralized in one accessible to all mail room with locking mailboxes. When there is a package, another key to a larger mailbox on site is supposed to be left in the mailbox. I've been keeping track. Of my last twenty-five packages, fifteen have either not been in my mailbox when the US PO tracking system shows they have already been delivered. Many packages, or the key to the larger mailbox, mysteriously show up in my mailbox days later. Some never do! Complaints to the River Road Post Office in Eugene, Oregon are treated rather breezily and not taken seriously. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THEIR BAND OF IDIOTS CAN'T SIMPLY GET THE PACKAGE OR A KEY IN THE RIGHT MAILBOX? THERE ARE ABOUT FIFTY BOXES, ALL CLEARLY NUMBERED AND REACHABLE. If I could give this place a negative 5 Star then I would! THEY LOST MY PACKAGE! The supervisor named Misty gave me an attitude about it. She told me that they delivered it and when I tried to tell her what my building office said, she kept cutting me off and raising the tone in her voice. So I checked the heck out of her. I put her mumbo jumbo self in her place. I told her "why are you mad? You need to calm down while talking to me because I'm NOT the one to be talking to like that. It's hot and it looks like you need some water" I said she needs water because she's over here drinking a Red Bull while "helping" me and she's already big and heavy looking so I gave her some health advice. I don't know why she even began the whole thing being rude. Maybe because of my race (I'm black) . Anyway so when the other supervisor came to the front, I told her to go to the back because I don't need her no more. She said "excuse me?" Lmao as if I'm obligated to speak to her. Mind y'all, some lady came for some stamps literally 2 minutes before the incident and the associate told her that Misty can't come to the front to give her stamps but she came to nag at me though. That's just funny. The people at the front are the best! They work their hardest. BUT MISTY? Oh no she gotta go! She needa get moved to McDonald's or something. I filed a complaint on her so hopefully that gets her a write up. Because you don't talk to a black pregnant lady like that! DONT GO HERE! If you do, ASK FOR RAMON! DONT GO TO MISTY! Just cant consistently deliver mail to a known good address. In the last three months, one shipment delayed, one lost entirely (perhaps stolen?) and one never delivered. Instead recipient is expected to go to post office to pick up...during the holidays, and they do not even have extended hours. Baffled as to why its such a problem to consistently get packages delivered. Amazon cant do squat about it, and wont let you selected a preferred carrier. Recipient suggested sending to alternative address. Why? If they cant figure out how to deliver mail to a 13 story building with lock boxes in the lobby (not some obscure address) how the heck is another address going to help? read more

I am generally pro-worker, pro-public workers and pro-union, and I know budgets are cut at USPS as they are elsewhere, but if there was ever something that needed to be privatized, the Postal Service was it. The employees here must glory in treating their customers like filth. I mean, they really do enjoy it, and they execute it flawlessly. If you hate your job, well, welcome to adulthood. Quite possibly the worst possible customer service ever. The mail person had stopped delivering my mail to me, and when I called to inquire just exactly where my mail was and why I wasn't receiving it, I was put on hold for about an hour, jockeyed around to three different people I had to speak to, and no resolved issue. The last woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude, condescending, and defensive. She said it was my fault I wasn't receiving my mail because my "car is blocking the mailbox," which is such a lie. My car is over 50 feet away from the mailbox for the complex, and how could she possibly know which car is mine anyways? Making up excuses and being rude to customers is a great way to get customers to file official complaints with corporate. read more

The USPS for the most part is fine but this is the worst location I've ever experienced. Customer service is absent. People are rude and quick to blame the customer, the other workers, the bureaucracy, sunspots, etc for why they can't get simple things right. Now you may ask what are my outrageous demands? 1) PO Box mail should be delivered in some sort of consistent way. If someone sends a letter there is an 80% it will end up in my box and a 20% chance it will get returned to sender for some odd reason. I'm the only name on the box, this should not be hard! 2) I'm standing right here. If you hate your job and have a misanthropic world view you don't need to say it in from of me. It's just awkward. I'm sorry you feel like I'm some sort parasite that has ruined your life by showing up but at least wait before I leave to express it. Here's an Idea, deliver the mail then you then neither of us have to endure this misery. It's a win-win! 3)The long lines. WHY? I'm only here because my box is. If I had a choice I'd be anywhere else. The other locations are friendly, why is everyone here? Has Stockholm Syndrome set in or something? Pro-tip. I've had the worst experiences here and at all USPS offices around Eugene. Don't try to call their phone numbers, nobody will ever answer. Usually. This was different today, when I called someone answered (reluctantly) and proceeded to tell me that I was the source for all of my problems, even though I am following USPS procedure with change of address, then got incredibly defensive when I said that their procedures and systems were f'ed up and proceeded to exclaim to me that I was not doing anything right, though I've had people from the corporate offices fill out change of address cards on my behalf, and when I fired back at her telling her that in fact I was doing everything right, something on USPS' end was f'ing everything up, another man who had clearly been listening in on the conversation(???) interrupted me and yelled at me because "they were trying to help me and I was being disrespectful" and he hung up on me. (Ironic) This was after trying to contact the USPS offices in Eugene for 4 months to try to resolve an ongoing issue I'm having with not receiving any of my mail, but every single piece of mail from the residents that lived in my apartment before me. Though I've filled out multiple change of address cards, clearly and visibly have mine and my roommate's name listed in the mailbox, had someone change my address online for me who works at USPS, filed a complaint with the OIG Hotline, gone in to the post office to talk to a desk agent, and reached out to the Postmaster, clearly I am the one who is not doing something right because I work for the post office and am delivering the wrong mail. Right? WRONG. I've tried countless times, over email and the phone to resolve this issue and just learned from speaking with someone at the USPS Consumer and Industry Contact Office (who was incredibly helpful) that the USPS worker who filled out my change of address online (supposedly 3 months ago) didn't do it correctly and there is still nothing in the system with my correct address. Moral of the story is that USPS workers are incompetent, from the desk agents to the mail carriers who clearly see two names in a mailbox but delivers 3 other people's mail to the customer service agents on the phone who have a chip on their shoulder for whatever reason, I have never ever been satisfied with anything at USPS in Eugene. This review shouldn't surprise anyone, especially if you look at the tons of other reviews that have 1 star and mention the incredible lack of customer service here. Avoid at all cost! read more

AJ was incredibly helpful during my experience. He answered all of my questions and was really patient. I had kind of a complicated request and had no idea what I needed to send things overseas. He took great care of me! I was shocked that even though it was so hot in the building, he was still so pleasant and friendly. This facility is pretty good however the USPS as a whole is absolute garbage. I sent a package to Fayetteville, NC. On the 5th of April it was marked undelivereable as addressed, This was an issue on there end (They had a sub driver that couldn't figure where to deliver.) So I figured whatever I'll just send it again. Well 15 Days pass and the buyer of the sent item want's his money back (Not really all that unreasonable of a request.) eBay refunds him the $155. OK so still not a huge deal I can resell the item once I get it back. OK, 20 Days pass I have opened a few cases spoken with the people at my post office and the people in Fayetteville nobody can tell me the location of my package. There are no scans in or out of Fayettville but they swear up and down it is not there. OK so they tell me they will keep me updated, I call in every 5 days or so they tell me no new info. I called the 1800-ASK-USPS today 31 days after It still being undelivereable as addressed. They tell me to call there main office to escalate the case. I call them up and the answer they give me shows the true colors and nature of customer service in this business. They tell me I cannot be paid any money since the package was not insured. They told me it is probably in the main lost package place so finding it is like finding a needle in a stack of 1 Billion needles they tell me that the label was probably damaged in shipping (Label was put under tape so unless they light my package on fire should still be there). So at this point I ask the lady, "Let me get this straight, You do not make any scans of the package for return so it can easily get lost, You do not offer compensation for a mistake on your end, You do not allow me to contact anyone that can check for my package in the main lost package facility and you do not have any system in place to notify people via there tracking number that the package is in the lost package facility?" She then replys yes that is correct. There is literately no way for me to get my $155 in merchandise back even though it was there fault. I am out money because these POS feel so untouchable because there the governments lap dog when it comes to mail?!? I can't even report these people to the BBB to get some damn satisfaction, I reported them to the BBB with all the required info and haven't even received a single response. DO NOT EVER SHIP USPS!!!! If you so happen to be unlucky and they lose your package you are absolutely screwed. read more
